  1. IMO Man City wont be interested in Milner now. He failed to make enough of an impression at the World Cup as to satisfy the show off demands of the Sheik. He'll want somebody with a bigger profile who made a splash during the Tournament perhaps Ozil or Thomas Muller.

I dont think thats correct...he will go for the players mancini wants. If the city manager wants big names he will go for them. If he wants Milner he will bid for him. I think its obvious Milner instrests them and they can if they want too bid a ridiculous amount...

  2. Fantastic :D ...apparently Milner is not a right winger.....Okay he may not have arty farty tricky skills like Lennon or SWP which often end up nowhere...but he is effective and works more than most players and is one of the fittest players in the league.

Either way he keeps this up and his value is pushing 30 million if not maybe more...Good for Villa in either way 8)

  3. Edit - the guy above me has posted pretty much the same message. :winkold:

    Hi General,

Question regarding Blackburn away tickets. Just wondering why "match ticket purchasers" for Sunderland get such a good priority but there's no mention at all of "match ticket purchasers" for the Portsmouth game?

It just doesn't make sense to me when there was no free travel for Portsmouth like Sunderland so surely that shows more loyalty as fans had to either pay for a coach or pay for whatever travel they used. Whats the importance of the Sunderland game but not Portsmouth?

I know nothing will be done at all to change it but I'd just like to know cause I don't understand the logic behind it.

    Cheers.

I echo both these posts I know lots of Villa fans who went to Portsmouth and payed their own way and payed for tickets and did not hitch a free ride like those to Sunderland did. Why do they get priority over us???

  4. People are going to moan about anyone that complains by saying that it is an over-reaction no doubt. However, the simple fact is that today we just weren't good enough. MON got it wrong and the players just didn't have what it took to break down an average Blackburn side.

I think our wins have gotten to peoples heads and they have forgotten how poor we have been in all of those wins (other than against Liverpool). It's true that the three points is the important thing, yet we really need to start playing some good football and getting results that way. We can't rely on playing poor and scraping results for the rest of the season because it won't happen.

Hopefully we will bounce right back, however today has been three points dropped. I think it is down to both MON and the players. MON got the tactics wrong and the players weren't good enough.

The more I see us play the more I worry about our team. We look extremely average in all honesty and I often feel that some people have claret and blue tinted specs when they say how well we have played. The players are just not up to scratch at the moment and really need to pull their fingers out. Speaking of which, when was the last time Young put in a good performance?! I don't like singling players out, however Young has been poor for a while in my opinion.

Anyway, these are just my thoughts. We lost today and it feels awful, however we must move on. I just feel that we have a deeper problem though. Oh well, life goes on....

    well said briggaman
