When he is fit he is straight in the team for me. No doubt. He is our captain and leader.
A back three of Vlaar, Clark and Baker sounds solid to me.

I want him straight in the starting 11 when he is fit. I reckon Paul Lambert want that aswell.
-
Why would you not want the one who plays for Norwich?
I'd like the new Hoolahan as well as the Hoolahan because I think we could do with some of his expereince. I'm not one that thinks experience automatically equals quality but he seems to be someone who has a positive effect on his team-mates.
Because he is 31 years old in May.

I'd love Pilkington and Hoolahan. Think they're both the types of players we're in need of.
Pilkington I agree with, think we need to find the next Hoolahan though not the one that plays for Norwich.
-
Was on the bench against Liverpool. I think he will start against Spurs.
-
Bad news chaps - Lionel Messi has agreed a new contract to keep him at Barca until 2018.
Lambert will have to go back to the drawing board..
Damn, Falcao it is then.

The Mirror seems to be linking us with every decent young player in the lower leagues.
Crewe's control: Stoke and Villa lead chase for starlet Luke Murphy
They say that there are 30 clubs after the Crewe midfielder!
Seeing he is now the Crewe captain after Westwoods departure. It would be cool signing their new captain as well!
-
No brainer for me at that price. The talent was always there, maybe a spell at a lower league side has learnt him he has to work for it.
Bring him on!

I think this 3-5-2/5-3-2 system is tailor made for a player like Bennett. He is a decent defender, but way better going forward. Anybody who already says they do not rate him would be judging him quite unfairly imo. He has only appeared in a handful of matches, and had both some good and bad appearances. Certainly not one to write off.
This, I think he will be really good for us given abit of time. Need to cut out those rash challenges though.

Probably a loss, I guess we are due one after a good unbeaten run.
-
Jelle Vossen certainly knows where the back of the net is.
-
also, ive said it before, i know a few will agree, most probably wont, by i reckon we could cheakily nab olsson away from blackburn
Why? He is cack IMO. Bennett a much better prospect.
-
I actually dont think we´ll be doing much in january, we have a big squad (numbers wise) IMO.
2 keepers
4 fullbacks
4 CB's (5 if you count Herd)
2 wingers (But we dont play wingers)
7 CM´s (Gardner injured) (8 if you count Herd)
5 Strikers
+ 4 players out on loan (Warnock, Hutton, Makoun, Delfouneso)
Maybe not quality in all the squad but although alot of players.
-
we may already have one at the club so for me it would be better if that is the case as it means more money for strengthening elsewhere
Weimann? Bowery?
-
He has roughly 2 and half yrs remaining.
I feel it's safe to say any players purchased in the MON, GH, or Eck eras will not be here come next season.
I actually think he has 3 and a half years remaining, pretty sure he and Given signed 5-year contracts.
-
Sunderland (and Newcastle) have a really hard set of fixtures from here until new year, they wont take many points. There is alot of clubs that will be right down there come january.

Great strike yesterday, played a part in all our goals. Love the big man.
-
Great to seeing him back, still havent given up on him. Looked good in the AVTV clip of the game.
-
Just seen that Newcastle and Sunderland has as though fixtures as us in December, made life a liitle bit easier.
-
Would love a DM along the lines of Guilavogui from Saint Ettiene, maybe out of our league but Capoue or Moussa Sissoko would literally show we mean business!! Josh Guilavogui is class though!!!! Would be very happy with him! Hopefully Henke will be earning his money this jan!
He seems to have a bit of size about him, which we need. How much would he cost?
-
We need someone in the mould of a Diame / Dembele / Yaya Toure. Someone who can win the ball back when needed and/or rampage forward with good strength and purpose.
Anyone know a player like that in the lower leagues or abroad who would be within our guesstimated budget? I guess that's the million dollar question.
Liam Trotter (Millwall). He has the size for it. Have only ever seen him on clips on youtube. We were linked with in the summer.
-
Back to transfer speculation.
I want these positions, not especially these players just suggestions who we might go for:
1 CD, right footed. James Chester? (We have been linked with him)
1 CM, Powerhouse. Liam Trotter? (Havent seen him much, whats he like?)
1 Striker/Winger/Forward. Jozy Altidore? Aaron Hunt? (would love both of them)

63 out of 77

I´d play 4-3-3 in this game. Baker at LB to better cope with Stokes long ball, corners and throws. Herd in CM to give us some bite there.
Guzan
Lowton
Vlaar
Clark
Baker
Bannan
Westwood
Herd
Holman
Benteke
Agbonlahor
Hoping for 2-0 but expecting 1-1.

My three signings for January:
Jozy Altidore, whoever signs him will get a bargain IMO.
Pontus Jansson, swedish CB 21 yo. Maybe abit raw and maybe not ready for the PL yet. But he will be good. A swedish Martin Laursen in the future.
A midfielder it may be Stephens or Murphy or Trotter or another one, in Lambert we trust!
