I dont think there is a club willing to take Given and Ireland off us, to much wage. N'zogbia, maybe if he keeps his form up. I think he will stay he is also on such a hefty wage noone will be willing to match that.

I guess most of the "kids" will stay, in reality theres just Weimann thats any good of them. Gabby will stay I think. Vlaar too maybe.

Well warnock is going on a permanet - so thats his 40k a week for a start. Hutton is on 30k, so say they pick up half thats 55k. ??

Well, I guess Leeds probaly could offer Warnock 15k for 18 months then we will pay 40-15=25k to Warnock for 6 months. Thats my take on it, all for Warnock to agree to move.  It´s the players market....

They are either playing a very good game of we are skint or we are financially screwed.

 

To think that Hutton and Warnock are leaving, which potentially frees up 60k of wages, but we're still short of being able to do any business is just mind boggling.

Cant see us free up that much wages, Hutton we will deffo pay a big part of his wages and Warnock we will surely have to pay off. Maybe we could free up 20k?

Warnock and Dunne, Ireland has on more year. IIRC Given and N´zog has three (!!!) more years.

Well what can he do with his hands tied? If hes not allowed the money, what should Lambert do? Pay for it himself?

Btw I still think DS will come to Villa eventually as long as we don't completely capitulate. DS knows Villa are a massive club and it's massive opportunity. However we are in disarray. But like I said there's no decision to be made anywyas as no fee has been agreed

I guess he´ll go on to have a fantastic rest of the season, scoring about 5-6 goals more and putting in MoM performances every other game. Then Everton sign him for £3m in the summer and he goes on to be a good PL-player.

Probably not in Bentekes case, but he will command a big fee that´ll hopefully will be invested in the squad again.

Some good shouts in there. I would like to add Dale Stephens to that list. Trotter and Stephens would give some size and strength in midfield. Chester I´m all for, he is highly rated. Maguire is one for the future, was the standout performer for me in the playoff final at Wembley last year at 18 years of age.

Some abroad suggestions, Raoul Loe DCM from Osasuna, a beast. Would certainly add strength to the team, probably not very expensive either. If Bent goes I would like us to go for Jozy Altidore, I think the next club who signs him will make a coup.

Tom Rogic signs for Celtic, will do well there.

I´m starting to feel like its better to try and sign players that could bring us back from the Championship next season. Buy cheap players (wage wise) that we can keep in the Championship. Then put out all stops to keep Benteke and Vlaar at the club, make them our top earners. For example, get Dale Stephens (the famous Stevie G of the championship), Raoul Loe (a french DM from Osasuna, a beast…) and James Chester. Could probably buy all three of them for 10£m and wages we could afford in the championship.

If we go down, then try in the summer to plug the holes in the squad after we´ll see whos leaving. I have no doubt Bent will leave, if not in january then surely in the summer. Ireland , not sure but I hope so. Given, hopefully Celtic sell Forster and we can ship Given up there… Dunne, Warnock and Lichaj is off at the end of season. In that case we might buy a new striker, there should be no problem buying a proven championship striker IMO. A new back up keeper, a winger and maybe another RB?

That could gives a starting eleven looking something like:

Westwood, Loe

Weimann, Stephens, Agbonlahor

Surely we could afford ONE season in the championship?

Kind of a new start for the club, who knows we might even win a few games!

And as someone earlier said, maybe we get som proper football in the championship instead of the plastic shit in the premiership.

Oh, and keep Paul Lambert even if we are relegated.

And by the way, of course I would rather stay in the Premier League, but I dont think it´ll be the end of the world if we dont.

(Is it wrong that I'm actually looking forward to it in a way - be nice to see us win a few games.......)
