  1. General Krulak here:

    1. Shirt sizes: I raised that issue with John Greenfield in the store room of the VP store. We got out the measuring tape and measured all the sizes in the storeroom...which amounted to all the sizes we had. We then measured the sizes of the remaining Hummel kit that we have...very few left. Bottom Line: The Nike sizes were exact....the Hummel sizes ranged from one to two inches larger...and varied. In other words, the XXXL for Nike is an inch or so smaller than Hummel but is accurate for the size chart. I then met with Nike sales rep who I laid out the problem and he said he would see what the largest size of shirt that Nike makes. He indicated that he was sure they made a shirt large enough for anyone. I said fine....get some to us. He said he would.

    Thanks for the reply general,

i know i am geting very annoying on this point but you mention XXXL?

as i live in Ireland i cant say whats in the club shop but this size shirt isnt available ANYWHERE on the web. it isnt even listed as a size on the official website so its not even a case of being out of stock the site only recognises XXL as its largest size.

Would it be possible for you to speak to, or tell me who to speak to, to get the sites updated as if there are XXXL shirsts available i wanna be able to buy one and at this moment i cannot.

Many Thanks and hope this isnt to irritating :) - i know i would be in your position

  2. Hi General,

sorry to be another one of 'those' people whojust come here to moan at you - i truely am!

But the fact that we come here to moan speaks volumes about how much you are valued and that

we know you will do everything in your power to help which no other club in the world has i'd wager!

Was trying to buy my new shirt for my birthday which is friday but to my dismay i cant get one

anywhere in Ireland (Galway) - not really surprised about this really. So i then asked my brother who

work for the club 'HOORAH!' to havea go and he could get a size bugger than a 48" chest.

Now i'm a fairly big chap as you may have guessed and in previous seasons - including last season - shirt

sizes went up to a 58" chest and had no bother getting a size. So i thought that was a bit funny so i

checked out the villadirect website and again to my dismay found that sizes dont go past XXL (48" chest).

Also have emailed the shop and had a response saying that sizes above this wont be available... is this

    correct?

I appreciate that as you have said with the late deal being done maybe they are making the smaller sizes

first and the larger - less bought sizes later - which is fine. But to be old i cant get a shirt larger than 48"

    is a bit outrageous TBH.

I truely hope this isnt the case and if you can offer any words of advice i would most appreciate it!

  3. Hi General,

Feeder clubs are clubs with whom there is an agreement that we give them players

and they play as part of the teams first team squad. The feeder club gain a good player for no wages

in return the host club gets good experience and development of their player and usually

first choice on the purchase of any potential stars in the feeder clubs books.

It can be a pretty good deal and i was led to believe we have such a deal with Walsall already?

    Hope that helps

  4. Maybe Martin O'Neill can “walk on water” and will be able to achieve success with the smallest senior squad ever seen at Villa Park. Or perhaps his mystic powers will be able to convince players to ignore the “lucre” and come to us for the joy of adulation from us Villa fans.

i'm sorry but i think you will find we won the league using only 14 senior players.

    NEXT

well written article but fundamentaly falwed and based on nothing but supposition i dont actually see one fact in there that can be verified and the one that is put forward is easily proved to be incorrect

sorry but this is pure PFE

  5. Hi General,

So issues for catering have been identified? Thats very good news. May i ask what is going on behind the scenes to resolve issues at the moment and moving forwards? I appreciaate that some of the things mean building work and cant really be done. Still would be nice to know what has been identified and what plans are in place to try and overcome these challenges, and possibly even a timeframe that you think they can be overcome in?

    Thanks

  6. Hi General,

Hate to jump on the bandwagon with all the complaints but here goes...

I have been speaking to a number of villa employees at lower levels

the ones having to deal with the fans face to face but have no control

over the causes for the problems. They are saying that they feel the

management at VP are not listening to them or taking any steps to provide

any support or assistance to help solve these issue. As many fans have mentioned

above the complaints are getting worse and not better!

I get the feeling that noone seems to know whats going wrong or how to fix it

and it seems this sense of being 'unprepared' isnt just in the stadium shops and

bars but the team and coaching staff as well.

I have to ask that given that the new board has been in charge a year now

how the trends, and stocking issues havent been noted and corrected by now?

I have worked in large and busy bars, supermarkets etc for many years

and if i were getting complaints like this for so long i'd have been sacked!

Perhaps bringing in an outside auditing company to try and implement new

strategies is whats needed? Rather than relying on VP management who obviously

dont seem to be able to handle the issue they are facing currently?

    Thanks

  7. 15. Black Training Kit that appears pink. I have notified John Greenfield of this issue...he will look into it. He was unaware of the problem.

    Many thanks for this General,

i have to admit i am still somewhat in awe that a member of the board is taking so much time to liase with th fans and its FANTASTIC!!!

Will John be coming back to you with findings?updates?

If so would be very grateful if you could pass them on to us!!!

Have to say tho it wont stop me buying the kit cos its still looks class :D

  8. Hi General,

Not sure if this has already been raised or not but RE the black training kit:

i recall you saying that measures were being put into place to ensure the colours

remained consistent in all things villa as part of the "Branding" process.

Unfortunately the black training kits i have seen on sale here in Ireland are

decidedly PINK and far from the claret of the other merchandise! Whether this is

an early batch issue or not i am not sure but to be honest it looks really bad when

taking into perspective the things that have already been said about such matters.

But on a lighter note - thanks for your input and for putting many of of fears and issues4

to bed! Keep up the good work!!!

  9. General,

Dont know if this has already been said but is there any plans for an AVFC sports channel as there is for manutd and chelsea etc? Also do you think there would be a plan to stream all villa's non sky games on the OS on a pay-per-view type thing? think this could be a really good source of revenue for the club!

Thanks for everything you and the board have done so far - really appreciate the effort!!

    UP THE VILLA!!!!

  10. Hi General,

I work for a company called Micros Fidelio, we provide Property Management Systems and Point of Sale systems to Hotels, Theme Parks, and Sporting Arenas. My question is will Villa be following the trend of football stadia having major till and PMS systems installed?

Recently The New Wembley, The Emirates, The Ricoh Arena,Goodison Park, and we have a contract for Liverpool's new staium - but to name a few.

    Thanks

    SC

  11. no disrespect to gavin - and i'll prob get stick for this but i am very glad to hear this

we need better than Gavin McCann

and this singnals that better WILL be coming sooner rather than later

Good luck Gavin - not too much tho :winkold:

  12. and i do respect your opinion DDID honestly!

just saying that traditionally top teams create a strong base before

starting on the attack which makes me think an experienced

centre half - maybe 2 - and a quality defensive mmidfeilder

and then you will find our creative players - especially petrov

will start to play the way they can

but as you say its only opinion

  13. well personally from what i have seen this season there are two reasons why we have conceeded few goals

1- tommy has been in great form - possibly his best since coming to villa

2 - the midfeild is doing far too much defensive work hiding the defences weaknesses

if the defence was better the midfeild could support the attack more

hence giving better service more chances and ultimately more goals

if you have watched any villa games this season you can clearly see this is the case

  14. stop conceeding goals then we can start thinging about scoring a few

Really? Most people would say it's the other way around. We're not conceding many, but were not scoring ANY.

That said, where the feck is Luke Moore?

DDID i think you will find that the most successful teams historically were built on a solid back line before the attacking threats were added

its worked for over 100 years i see no reason to think toherwise now

newcastle tried to do it backwards and what did they win?
