  1. The manager got it wrong today. It's not a mistake the is peculier to GED, MON did the same repeatedly (Moscow) and we see plenty of managers rotating for cup games, against weak and strong oposition. But with such a kind and uncongested fixture list ahead of us, I really just can't get my head around why he did that today.

Also, after resting Downing and Young, why bring them on with 20 minutes left at 3-0 down. This should have been done at HT, 60 mins at the latest. If resting them is so important, then why play them when there is no time to make an impact.

On the bright side, Bannan looked good. Gabby not as poor as people are making out. Clark was decent for the most part and Delph looks like he could probably play a bit in midfield. Was a bit concerned by Herd, thought he could easily have picked up a couple of bookings on a different night.

  2. Downing at LB?

    Only joking.

Dunne and Clark will play CB as they are our only choices. If we get an injury, it may be interesting having to have Heskey at the back.

Push comes to shove and Walker can be LB with NRC at RB.

Delph, imo, will start at LB as there is no other option, unless Herd steps in

Please, no Reo Coker at RB. He is awful there, I'd rather put Bent there.

  3. Anybody know any good sites where I can meet people who want to go travelling? I've got 8 weeks spare this year and want to do some travelling but all my mates are settled down or boring, so wondering if there are any websites?

You could try "Couch Surfing". Not so much people to go travelling with as people to meet and stay with along the way. But you'll normally find they take you around and show you the sights where ever they are, and it's free accommodation so pretty good deal! I know a couple of people who used to host people from the site and everyone seemed to win and have a good time. However, unless you're actually a big titted blonde you might not find that many willing hosts.

  4. True, but 3 games in a week with the same team would take it out of any side. You would rarely see Man U start with a similar side for 3 games in 7 days.

That said, it's important to follow a win up with a good performance. If Delfouneso isnt featuring for the reserves, I'd like to see Young and Downing atleast rested.

We have 2 weeks off after the Bolton game as well, so would be crazy to rest players for this IMO. Full strength.

Depends if we beat City, if we do we'll have a fixture against Everton on the 12/03. The break will be on the weekend of 26th/27th.

    Didn't know that

Still, it's hardly a congested fixture list and there is a break coming. If we rest players we'll most likely be having the break sooner than we want and it'll seem crazy to have rested them, so still a full strength side for me.

  6. (i'm 25 now been smoking since i was about 13/14)

Good luck! When you are in the pub and others go outside to smoke, try to concentrate on how good it is to be able to stay in the warm and dry!

  7. "At a Punch and Judy show, you can see the wires - however if you're at a Punch and Judy show and you're watching the wires - you're a freak." - Dean Learner.

    @Der_Wanderfalke on Twitter.

Surely Punch and Judy are traditionally glove puppets? (or is that the point I'm missing entirely?)

  8. With the natural disasters people in the US, Australia and NZ have to deal with and the political unrest in places like Egypt, Tunisia and Libya we really do have a lot of things pretty easy in this country (doesn't stop us moaning though :D)

The weather can be a bit shit though, can't it?

Tell me about it, I sick of waiting for my lawn to start growing so I can test out my new petrol mower!

    Rob needs a haircut....

  9. Foreign forces are already allegedly involved, those death squads using heavy machine guns on protesters are said to be mercenaries from Chad.

That was just horrid to hear on the news that foriegn mercenaries were being brought in kill protestors in Libya. Paid to slaughter, just to keep the powerful and corrupt in situ and the enraged masses at bay.

    "Man's inhumanity to Man"... shameful.

I'll be surprised if Nigeria doesn't explode sometime soon. It's an absolute powder cake over there as well.

It's the same in Bahrain, mostly foreigners in the police / army. I think a large part of those forces are normally made up of foreigners, but they are deployed against protesters as they are less likely to switch sides.

  10. 14 miles this morning, my longest ever run. Took me 2h8m and my legs are a little stiff but feeling ok and confident about my first half marathon in 2 weeks!

    Thanks for that

Well done, thats some serious running.

Hey, if I can run 14 miles anyone can! When I started training in Sept last year it was the first exercise I'd done in years, and I couldn't run even half a mile then! And it's not an exaggeration, I really didn't have the fitness to do that!!

How far would you normally run?

I'm gonna keep on my 4.6k Route for about a month and then move up to a 10.3k. This is easily the best site for mapping.

I Could have just doubled the first route but I'd much rather a circuit than laps.

I normally do 4 or 5 miles two evenings a week, and a longer run (8-12 miles) at the weekend, although once I've done my half I'll start cutting back a little bit because the girlfriend gets annoyed with me spending so much time out.

I wouldn't try to increase in that big of a jump! I normally only went up in increments of about a mile and I think that works better.

  13. In fact, I find it bizarre when it happens in this country too. But then again I find the adulation of Kate Price by kids and halfwits embarrasing too, and yet she's adored my millions.

QE II Vs some bird who gets her tits out? Not the greatest analogy imo.

Yes, Katie Price got to where she is today without being born into that privilaged position. To compare her to someone who got where they are simply by being born is an insult to Katie Price.

  14. One of arguments people come out with when discussing the monarchy is that they earn their keep and attract tourists to the country.

I think tourists come to see the buildings and the paraphernalia rather than the Royals themselves.

Yes, I always like this one. Go to Stratford-upon-Avon; The fact that Shakespeare is no longer their doesn't keep people away. It's the same concept, it's the history and tradition that brings in tourists, not what is actually there now. We don't need posh people with silly made up titles to attract tourists.

  15. It's the 21st Century, anyone who thinks a royal family can have any possible relevant role in the world is either brain washed or brain dead.

    Cheers mate.

I think keep the monarchy. And so do the vast majority of people in their early 20s that i know.

    Grow up.

I find it ironic that someone who supports the monarchy also uses "majority" as part of their argument.
