  1. Today is going to be a bloodbath if Hull go ahead inside the first 20 minutes. The reaction of the crowd at the infamous Bolton McLeish game will seem like a mild mannered affair in comparison - I wouldn't be surprised if someone actually tried to have a pop at Lambert if its going really badly.

Oh well the sun's shining. All we need is a win, whatever the cost!

  2.

Couldn't help but laugh when someone put this on facebook...

    10292513_748991458467337_391736076895530

They must have this hanging around for a while, look at the state of it.
A nose on FB had posted this, first comment "are you going?" Second comment, "nah mate"

There is a nose at work who, when we got onto how crap our season had been and the importance of the Hull game said:

    "I'm supporting Hull tomorrow!"

    Then I replied with:

"So you are not supporting Birmingham City tomorrow then?"

    Stunned silence. They are obsessed.

  3. Sid should have come in after the Fulham or Palace game to be honest, its too late now. It wouldn't make a difference. We are relying on other teams not picking up enough points to relegate us, but by god do we deserve it this time. Worst Villa team since Billy McNeill and we add absolutely nothing to this league in our current shambolic state.

Let the dead duck have his three games and then when the final whistle has gone give him the sack.

  4. I didnt think Lambert would ever get us into Europe, but I did expect at least a little progress from last season.

The fact we are a worse team than when he took over and that results and performances have been worse than McLeish is what has sealed his fate.

He's been a disastrous manager and a massive disappointment for us considering the reputation he bought with him. I thought he'd do better quite frankly.

  5. ITK - from my mother (of all people)

I rarely get ITK information, in fact I've only ever received one factoid and that wasn't even about the Villa.

My mum's colleague (a Walsall fan) drinks with Sid at a pub in Lichfield. He asked Sid what was going on down the Villa (in sort of a bantery/jokey way) and Sid told him that he's come into the first team and none of them are interested. He even said the words 'they've got their bags packed for their holidays already.'

    Incredibly worrying. (if true)

I think its more like - we are being taken over in the summer and a lot of them are just going to be cleared out (especially Lambert's duds), so where is the motivation for them any more.

Two thirds of our squad will struggle to play for a Prem team again. I wouldnt be surprised to see a load of them plodding around in the lower leagues in a few years. We are going to wonder what the hell was going on that they played for us.

  6. It would go against the grain for Lord Lucan to sack his managerial sock puppet at this stage. He'll be polluting this club for another 3 games and then he'll rightfully get the sack.

  7. I love how the figures of what he spent on players get revised downwards all the time compared to what was in the actual accounts, as some form of defence.

That article actually reads like some of the stuff peddled by the shrinking number of Lambert's defenders on this site!

  8. They did the same when McLeish was sacked. The better journalists knew the real reason why the fans were unhappy.

Bollocks to The Guardian and their pathetic London/Manchester-centric condascending attitude. Lazy sports journalism at its finest.

The Brum Mail is actually worth reading for a change, they are asking some good questions of the club and putting pressure on Lambert at the moment.

  9.

It does have the hallmarks of a "jobs for the lads" signing. I'll immediately retract all criticism when he scores a brace against Hull, though :D

A bit like Lambert's brother-in-law. Good compensation was paid to bring him here. He came with the fancy, yet vague, 'Head of football operations' title and yet he turns out just to be a "bibs and cones" guy.

I reckon they will all resurface at whatever football backwater Lambert crops up next. He looks after his mates.

Holt was only bought in to be Lameduck's eyes and ears in the dressing room. The players don't exactly rate him, apparently.

  10. Even if we win on Saturday, I can't see the reaction to this pisspoor bunch of losers being at all positive. It will be a walk of shame in my opinion.

Worst Villa team in 25 years with the worst manager since Billy McBingo and they have shown it over the course of the season.

  11. Blame Paul Lambert. Blah! Blah! Blah!

It's all his fault. Blah! Blah! Blah!

You don't know what your doing. Blah! Blah! Blah!

He hasn't got a clue. Blah! Blah! Blah!

I never wanted him in the first place. Blah! Blah! Blah!

We go again. Blah! Blah! Blah!

Well actually No. I don't blame Paul Lambert. It's definitely not his fault. He does know what he is doing. He has very much more than a clue. I  wanted him in 100% in the first place & still do & like he says guys, "We go again."

I don't mean to be rude, but have you ever considered therapy?

You only have 3 games to go before your hero will get what he rightfully deserves - the sack.

You can toddle off and support whatever crappy team he ends up at.
