  1. If the leaks meant that my house was about to be ruined as a result and hence the value dramatically reduced, you bet I would. I have to pay rates, gas, electric, insurance and hence keep up maintenance to ensure the sale goes through But then you wouldn't have put it up for sale at the price you did, would you?
  2. Devils advocate????? Sorry. http://tinyurl.com/6cc89 That proves that JP2 was an absolute loon, as well as a mass murderer
  3. I was that close as well last week
  4. When you going to organise it? Whenever you want Den - can I count on your support?
  5. Or sit on their hands and do jack shit except snipe and criticise So when's the new protest?
  6. Hail to the revolutionaries!!
  7. Really scrapping the barrel aren't ya. Fryatt - unproven - shows promise, but we already have Luke. Pompey - they have spent £7m worth of shite today.
  8. Ah - that old chestnut :winkold:
  9. Richard I'm impressed - have you seen the light WHAT ABOUT THAT FOR MY 2000TH POST ON VT - WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT THAT EH!!
  10. No expectations from me, just hope and anticipation, emotions I havent felt with Villa for 11 years. Didn't say that they were my expectations :winkold:
  11. I see a Villa without Ellis I just hope that what I see matches up to the expectations.
  12. And conversely, you don't become a millionaire by selling things for less than someone is prepared to pay (even if it is over-priced). Its business. Hard nosed business. Bluff, smokescreens and bluster. And we're caught in the middle. There's no point getting worked up about it. Just sit back and try to enjoy the ride. Again Dave spot on - the post from Chris has stated at the moment that they are still talking - until Neville/Ellis/Comers state otherwise, as you say all the tak is just bluster.
  13. You can support the Team, and still not support the Board - I thought we were a football club
  14. Your choice mate. Personally I prefer to support the Villa through thick & thin. As for the takeover - I think there's an awful lot of posturing and attempts to smoke people out going on currently. I wouldn't believe ANYTHING you read in the press until it has concrete quotes from both sides in it. Exaclty.
  15. Where do they clain that Ian?
  16. I'm interested, but at the end of the day I can't afford it. Neville/Comers had made a bid in principle, but obviously when they have done "due delligence (?)" it looks like they have decided not proceed. Ransons bid din't add up - he was undervalueing the club un the eyes of the sellers, and decided not to sell.
  17. Where is the reasoning behind that? If they are the only people that have made a solid bid then the only choice is to accept or refuse. Who else is clammering over hot coals to buy us?
  18. What smoke screen? And why is it Neville who needs to make a statement? The article correctly states: Hello Doug? Are you there? What's happening? Why shouldn't he - if the deal details have been changed from what they were before, he can confirm or deny that the Comers have decided withdraw/continue. Doug is under certain Stock Market restrictions, and at the end of the day he can only deal with whats in front of him
  19. Perhaps it's time for Neville to make a statement and stop this constant smoke screen
  20. I ain't finished with him yet.
  21. Take it from me he ain't any better..... and I geninely take no pleasure in saying that Denis - I never belived that he was - 12 months ago whilst having a minor op on my shoulder I was told by one of the nurses at a private hostpital that he knew of Mr Ellis's condition and told me despite his statements that he was on the mend etc, (prior to his heart bypass), the situation was not like that at all. With the perhaps impending collapse of the takeover for what ever reason, it may be that the Comers are taking a back seat awating the inevitable and looking to buy " on the cheap" off his estate. Are we necessarily in a btter position. If Doug could see through something that with the deal - all we can hope for is that his instructions have been passed on, that the deal must be best for football reasons, not someone that will sell the land and make a quick buck, as it seems that's what the Comers wanted.
  22. I sat very close to Mr Ellis in the Albion Directors box and he lookedvery unwell to me.
