For the next match please drop Traore and play Watkins RW with Davis up front.

Why does Barkley always f*ck off down the tunnel after being subbed off? Is it COVID protocol?
-
McGinn has zero footballing IQ
-
A £25m striker buries that.
-
The City kit looking like some soviet curtains.

Great Barkley is coming on
11 vs 10 didn't work and 10 vs 10 probably won't either.
At least going 9 vs 10 is trying something new.

Before the tackle happened Inwas about to type thatvI can't see how we would win this even against 10 men.

I think he's been extremely unlucky with the chances he's missed so far. Should have a few more goals but has become a bit of a meme due to some good saves and blocks.

Martinez
Konsa engels/hause mings
Cash Nakamba luiz targett
Mcginn
Watkins Davis
I think with this it also makes us more dangerous on set pieces because of extra height
Sam Allardyce, Gareth Southgate and 1 other cabbage like this.

Starting to think, John was also a more important player for us than we realized.
And his collapse in form has coincided with our decline as well.
He used to keep things ticking over, win everything and was also a goal threat.
Him being so out of form might also Abe to do with everything else being disjointed.
Drano obviously relies on hi heavily, currently letting himself and the team down.
I genuinely don't think he is as bad as recent form suggests.
What's happened?!
1. his injury
2. The Prem is too much of a step up
3. Playing a different role than in the Championship
4. Possibly the lifestyle that earning 50k+ a week offers. Heard he was told to work out in the gym more often. Just an assumption but I know it would change a lot of people, including myself.

We don't seem to be exploiting our opposition's weaknesses at all.
Last season when Targett was having a difficult time, teams were often overloading our left side. This season when Cash was injured, teams were targeting our right side because they know Elmo is past it. Other teams have obviously looked at our zonal/hybrid system from corners and targeted the area McGinn is covering.
I'd like to see us take a similarly ruthless approach.

The criticism of him is ridiculous. He’s a wholly capable premier league midfielder. Combative and competitive and important in attack and defence.
He’s part of a midfield that is getting overrun at the moment. Mainly because they don’t have an out ball that sticks or a creative player to give the ball to.
No he's been pants since his injury.

Targett put in a good free kick from the left. Apart from that our set pieces were shocking yet again again.
Come on lads. These are the absolute basics of football and one of the easiest things to get right.
How the f*ck are we this bad at set pieces (and have been for the last 10 years or so)?

- Inefficient use of energy
- poor decision making & concentration
- one footed
- slow since injury
- predictable
- 178cm (according to Transfermarkt but I'm sure he's smaller)
£15m max and should be a squad player. Still love him though.
-
I think he's off in the summer. Can't see how we would convince him to stay after having him watching our recent performances from the stands. He admitted that he was almost gone last year.
Like @supermon said, the rebuild job is just too big and would take up a large part of his career. He'll hit his peak in a year or two. A player of his calibre will ultimately want to win trophies and test himself against the likes of Haaland and Mbappé in the CL.
£150m in the bag which should be reinvested in 3 quality players (RW, LW, AM).
A top 8 finish might still change this but seems highly unlikely now.

Luiz so slow to react to loose balls. Completely anonymous today.

Bergwijn could have got Cash sent off there but he stayed on his feet.

And what better time than now to try out a potential plan B? We're comfortably mid table and aren't fighting for european places. The season is basically finished for us.
Imo Smith should be trying different things now and make sure he's comfortable with implementing a plan B at some point next season (if needed).
