  1. News Now has a report linking us with the man i've been raving about on these forums for a while, Sully Muntari, i don't know how true the link is but it's an article from a Ghana website so there might be something in it, i certainly hope there is because he's a top four midfielder in my opinion,

And again we are linked in the independent with the West Brom trio Kamara, Davies and Koumas, i think it's a genuwine link to be honest, Mon has been watching them for ages it seems.

Would like this to be true.

No surprise to me that the Baggies season has been up and mostly down since Davies got injured. Koumas and Kamara would act as strong squad players. I think Koumas is still vying for a move to Everton though. (He still lives in the Merseyside area). Kamara, for me, is a good player, full of pace, and could do us a good job down the left wing or upfront.

Muntari is class act, nothing needs to be said about him. He would be a 100% improvement on McCann.

  2. We've seen some ridiculous suggestions for strikers on this thread, but I think we have a new winner.

    WHY???

Because you have suggested one of the most ineffective strikers to ever play Premier League football?

Was just talking to a Man City fan about this fella yesterday, I actually felt quite sorry for Samaras as I felt Pearce played him on the wing. This is actually incorrect. Vassell plays on the wing alot more than Samaras.

It would be fair to say that Samaras is absolutely HATED by Cit-eh fans!

We can do SO much better. Ridiculous suggestion.

On a different issue though, looking at the OS latest headline, looks like MON will definitely be in the hunt for a striker!

  3. In my opinion, we need two centre halves, a defensive midfielder and a top class striker.

Infact I'd say our whole defense is pants bar Laursen, Bouma and Bardsley. Laursen is always injured though. To be fair Bardsley has done well since he's come in and I'd like to see him sign permanently.

Martin O'Neill in my opinion has realised our defence is pants, thus why our midfielders have to play so deep to compensate them, E.g. Liverpool game, among many others. Against Blackburn he didn't play McCann and we had the arrival of Laursen, we looked so much better for it.

McCann is NOT good enough and we need a class defensive midfielder next to Petrov and for the rest of our midfield so they can go express themselves. Gareth Barry could be one to fall into this position?

A top class striker in the mold of Robbie Keane is needed to play next to John Carew. Bellamy would go down a treat as I don't think Keane will be available anymore after the last few months he's had at spurs. He's firmly first choice along with Berbatov.

  4. Anyone see us being interested in Bale?

I doubt it, he'll end up at Spurs or Manyoo. I watched him play against Preston the other night and was distinctly unimpressed anyway.

He has man u plastered all over him!

    Spurs dont stand a chance!

Yeah, fergie was watching him the other day at Preston. Either him or Nugent ;-) lol.

Heinze's gonna be off and Evra is seen more as a left winger imo, so Bale would be a good signing for them. Shame really. Get Bale, Barton and Bent and we'd have a seriously shit hot looking side.

  5. If we do great. But would rather wait for MON to get his prime targets in the summer rather than Plan C's now.

    Yeah.

The summer is where all the REAL action is going to take place. I think our team is going to be pretty transformed by this time next year.

I'd go as far as saying that this time next year, we won't be looking at signings to bring in, such is the success of our summer signings, and they'll be plenty of them! :D
