  1. I would really like us to go for Joao Pedro in Jan. Young and Brazilian with lots of pace, dribbling ability, strong link up play and great work ethic.

Also lots to improve on so a very coachable player and can play in various attacking formations which would suit us under Emery.

I think he would be happy being a rotation player for the time being and I also love the idea of building up our contingent of South American players

For £25-30m would be a great signing I believe

  2. The role suited him well and gave us better balance. We just need him to find his shooting boots again! As the fact he can go both ways and shoot off either foot helps make him more unpredictable when he is driving at a defence

  3. Do you think there is a chance we could go for Tielemans? One year left on his contract,  based in the midlands and yes I'm sure he wants champions league football but as we know with Kamara and others that money talks as well as the Gerrard factor and we could pay him a lot more than he is currently on. I think he would be a great 8 for us and would instantly help improve our possession stats and control of games. If we did get him I imagine Gerrard could make him captain as he is a very experienced player for his age and Rodgers always says that he is his manager on the pitch and he would be one of only a few players that would be a nailed on starter. Plus he takes a great penalty which is something we miss with El Ghazi going.

I don't think it's too far fetched to think a deal like this could happen.

  4. Watching Keirnan Dewsbury Hall for Leicester makes me think that's the kind of player that McGinn should be week in week out. Tidy in possession playing short sharp passes, passing and moving and giving box to box energy. That's the player McGinn was in the championship.

Instead we have a player that gives the odd moment of high quality and high energy play, yet for the rest of the game is really poor and doesn't add much going forwards or defensively

I was silently speculating to myself a couple of days ago, but without formulating the sentence, just a vague idea that drifted across my consciousness, that we might try for Madueke. Or maybe as the thought comes to me now, Ibrahim Sangaré, I don't know anything about him just a name.

Really impressed with Sangare. Looks exactly what we need

  6. We could do worse than Papys Mendy as a dm next year. Not the big dm signing people would be hoping for but he is at least a specialist dm who is good at intercepting and is very tidy with the ball and is a good passer. Also experienced in the prem and local to the Midlands.

We could also get him for not very much money saving our budget for elsewhere.

  7. I would love us to get Chris Richards from Bayern in the summer. Young American International Centre back that has got all the attributes of a top modern centre back.

Been on loan at Hoffemheim and will want out of Bayern if he isn't going to be a starter there next year.

    Would be a great get

We need him to start scoring more goals, one in seventeen isn't good for someone who's playing in the front three. Because of how deep our midfield plays, it means if the wingers/wide forwards aren't scoring, we're too reliant on Watkins/Ings for goals. As it stands Buendia, Traore, Trezeguet, El Ghazi, and Bailey have only scored three league goals between them.

It's 2 goals really though if you include the Leicester goal that the tip of Konsa's toenail caught. It was a great header from Buendia

  9. I would love 3 players in Jan to make the 1st team stronger

Keiran Tierney- £35m. Would be a real statement signing spending this much on a left back and would be perfect for us in a Gerrard team. Injuries are a bit of a concern though and doubt Arsenal would sell

Yves Bissouma - £35m. Providing he clears his name legally he would be a class signing and 35-40m would probably get him. I'm loving the Marv revival and hopefully it lasts but Bissouma has been class for a while

Charles de Ketalere - £30m. Very classy player from Club Brugge who is going to get even better and become a star for Belgium. I think he would really suit playing as one of our 10s and provide competition to Buendia, Bailey, Chuck and could also play as the 9. £30m may not be enough for him but would be a great buy especially if we are linked with Kent from Rangers for £20m or so who is nowhere near as good.

    Poasible Outs in Jan:

    El Ghazi - £15m

    Davis - £6m

    Wesley - £5m

Apart from right back (recall Guilbert maybe?) and goalie I think that would give us a pretty strong 1st 11 and backup 11

  10. For me the two managers that would get me excited would be Graham Potter or Thomas Frank. I think either one of these would be a great fit for the club and would take us to the required next level in the current set up.

I don't think either would leave their clubs currently though unless we threw a lot of money at the club and the manager salaries

We don't have the space for him now but if we have a European campaign next season we have to purchase Gallagher. He's like a slightly more athletic version of McGinn. £20 million should be enough to get Chelsea to cut loose.

I was thinking the same. I really like JJ and I hope Sanson comes good, but having Mcginn and Gallagher in front of Luiz would be awesome

I wouldn't have any complaints if he does, just Tuanzebe has done little wrong too and might be more suited to Spurs. Whatever Dean Smith decides.

I agree, whilst Hause was brilliant I think Tuanzebe needs to play against Spurs for his pace, as well as with Kane dropping deep all the time I think Tuanzebe would be better at coming out from defence into midfield to follow him around and stop him getting on the ball

  13. Loved watching his finishing today in the training, always looks so sharp and in the right place.

It was the first time I had seen him play live and I can't wait to watch him down at VP again. His energy and attitude is infectious

  14. With some links to Will Hughes appearing, if we are looking for another 8 or someone who could also play as a 10 then I think Denis Praet from Leicester would be a good shout. Prem experienced and better than all our current centre mid options in my opinion. Very technically sound and works very hard off the ball too. He is looking to leave Leicester due to a lack of appearances and they have just signed Soumare so he will get even less time.

Leicester fans don't want him to go and think he should of played a lot more back end of last season but for some reason he kept getting overlooked. Could be a good buy at £10-15m perhaps

  15. Martinez, Heaton, Steer

    Cash, Guilbert, Elmo

    Konsa, Tuanzebe

    Mings, Hause

    Targett, Amavi

    Berge, Luiz

    Sanson, Mcginn

    Brandt, Olise

    Grealish, El Ghazi

    Buendia, Traore

    Watkins, Wesley, Nketiah

Loan out the youngsters in Kesler, Ramsey, Chuck, Barry and Davis. Keep Elmo around the squad for a bit of experience and leadership. Keep Heaton as well for the same reasons as well as being a quality back up. Interplay between Grealish, Brandt and Buendia would be lovely to watch and they are all hard working players as well

  16. Not sure where we are going wrong in terms of our style of play. First half of the season we seemed to have a lot of fast intricate passing in the final 3rds with lots of one twos and overlaps, coupled with some great counter attacking and I would argue there were only 1 or two teams playing better football than us.

Now the passing on the whole is really poor, we give the ball away so much, we only press in our own half (except for Watkins) and the movement in attacking areas is really disjointed. Plus our counter attack threat hasn't been there for a long time. I know we have lost Grealish and Cash recently, but the problems were there before they were injured and they have only gotten worse in my opinion
