  1. Whilst we have to be realistic and accept we are in our lowest ebb for time, there are still positives. I am sure managers will be looking at coming to us as a fantastic opportunity. Arguably the biggest club in the division, we have the facilities, fan base and potential financial backing which is a massive pull. IF whoever comes in acts and spends wisely getting us back to the Prem first attempt he'd be adored and it would sit very pretty on their CV. To be honest Moyes can do one. His career has been in decline since he left Everton. Admittedly his job at Man Utd was going to be difficult but he didn't exactly cover himself with glory. If he feels Villa in the Championship is beneath him we have dodged a bullet. Your stocks low mate and I've had enough of Villa having to drag people to this club like we did with Micah and the likes. Get a manager who wants to be here and feels it isn't beneath him then rid of the players who don't feel the same.

Forgetting the team, I'm 100% sure the FA are against us this season. We have had so so many poor decisions against us and our oppositions have been let off so easily.

**** this league. Didn't like it anyway.

It concerns me. Before todays game a report was published by a former assistant. It stated if all refereeing decisions had been called fairly we wouldn't be in the relegation zone. Obviously we have been poor but still you can't hide from the bias from the officials this season. They seem so adamant on giving stuff against us and almost wait for the opportunity to punish, then pounce. Todays game; Cissokho has got the ball. Controversially, if he feels the second leg movement is a foul and calls it he must be sure about Huttons position. It could argued Hutton is covering even after all of this. Abdi should of been sent off when we were 2-1. Blatant! Then he should of been sent off again at 2-2. They don't go and push for the third on 92 minutes having a player sent off. Special mention for when Bunn got booked for time wasting too. Time wasting after Igahlo had robbed the ball and ran towards the Villa goal. I honestly started applauding the ref for booking Ighalo.

Saw a video of them coming off the bus on Facebook and it looks like the same old shit.  No Adama.

Shocking. It is borderline arrogance on the managerial part. It is like the more we want to see him the less chance he has of being picked due to Black flexing his muscles. Just give us something.

  4. This isn't front page news. We are all well aware of his off field antics so I'm really not bothered. It is old news. When The Sun editor mentioned bad news for Villa fans I was thinking it was something to do with Bernstein and King leaving maybe administration, match fixing or doping. Instead it the same tired story. He is cannon fodder one last time where they can use the line "premiership star". One thing I will say Gabby needs some new mates because they seem to be stitching him up all too often.

  5. There could be a lot of things at play here such as a takeover, budget, new manager etc. All we know there has been a massive disagreement. Unfortunately all we can do is speculate at this point. We all love our club and we just want answers but instead we get drip fed propaganda and we are left trying to decipher the riddles. Naturally we are going to read between the lines until we get the truth. The club owe us honesty because it is getting ridiculous. Stick together. Up the Villa.

  6. Bernstein was at Man City from 1998-2003 and the FA from 2011-2013. He has been at Villa for one month. His reputation is not exactly one of fly by night which concerns me greatly. Mervyn King is a huge Villa fan so will be acting within the best interests of the club. Reading between the lines but my worry with the official statement regarding a sale is that a buyer has come in who Bernstein and King have opposed. Perhaps the compromise is that they wanted to set the club structure in before the take over but were told no.

Good, he can go and be shite somewhere else

Have to agree. He cost £9 million. That isn't a punt. Mahrez was a punt at 500k and one that worked. Although he has been one of our better players which doesn't say much I expect more for £9 million. It makes me angry most have been plotting their escapes for a while. Let's just hope we can try and recoup some cash.

  8. Anybody else thinking about the dodgy handball given against Cissokho and the Huth elbow on Kozak in the box? Part of me thinks they've had it coming.

  9. I think Collymore will have a insight into the inner workings of this football club. His rant on air whilst passionate was calculated and essentially he has named and shamed the trouble makers. Brad Guzan, Micah Richards, Joleon Lescott, Leandro Bacuna and Gabby Agbonlahor were the ones targeted. For me it has confirmed what has been said on this thread for a while. Rewind back to December. A rock bottom of the table Villa team with a divided dressing room and this is their attitude. Not a care in the world but it is OK because "now it's confirmed maybe it's a weight off the shoulders".

It still baffles me how Collymore manages to get away with touting himself as Mr. Aston Villa given his track record on and off the pitch for us.

Regardless of how we feel about him he is our passionate voice in the national media. A voice that reaches the players. His arguments are right. He even admits his time at Villa was poor but it was poor by our expectations then. Our expectations have been lowered significantly since. We celebrate a corner FFS. Rather than scrutinise Collymores performances for us in a top half, European side over 15 years ago I think we should be aiming our discrections at what is happening now and appreciating some kind of representation in the media. He was right to have a go at Lescott and however poor his on and off pitch record for us was it eclipses the likes of Lescott which probably says a lot about Lescott and this Villa side now.

Of the top of my head thats 3 times this season we have made front page headlines, (Jack 2 Gabby 1) Disgraceful

Hahaha! Didn't Gabby hit the front page with tales of his mistresses? That would make it 2-2. Incidentally, more tabloid appearances than goals for both. Worrying!

  12. I can believe this even if it is the Star. Interesting read and the pieces fit together.....

It seems it wasn't just the fitness training they rebelled against. The poor lads wanted to booze without repercussions. How dare Garde ask for professionalism.

"A number of senior players questioned his handling of the youngster following a nightclub incident."

  13. By stropping about the manager they have most likely got this institution of a football club relegated. That is unforgivable. Never mind their views on Garde they should put in the effort for themselves, the club and the fans. It is what they are paid for! It is a disgrace and they will have to do a LOT in the coming years for me to forget that. It is heartbreaking to see. Looking at their social media you would believe that they do not care and it is all one big joke. These are the people us as fans put our faith in and they are taking the pi** out of us all.
