  1.

Weak against city and Tottenham - not good enough

Not good enough for top 6, but good enough for lower mid-table, I would say.

    In the Championship?

Proven time and time again he is not a PL player.

He proved he is a Premier League player most of last season. Players will have a bad year, it happens.

A virtual ever present in a team that conceded 69 goals?

    He didn't like.

  2.

nearly as bad as criticism Aaron Lennon got for having a cigar when England lost to germany

The difference being someone snapped Aaron and the photo was leaked to a newspaper iirc.

He didn't post it up laughing , showing full well he doesn't give a shite about results or performances. Here is to another relagation battle next year Andi with that attitude.

I'm not sure whether I should react to someone who has just 77 posts to his/her name... however, surely the result that counts this season is safety from relegation? For this team, that is success. If you expect anything else you are being unrealistic and you are directing your emotion in the wrong direction.

    Long time lurker.

Don't think I don't know about your Scottish Xavi heat maps.

EDIT : BTW Palace really dropped down the leagues when Pulis dropped Bannan ay it.

  4. Sell him, and use his wages towards a player who does it more than 5 times a season.

Anything more than £5m would be a bonus.

The loyalty thing always grates me,no other club in the league would have paid him the wages he has got here. That isn't loyalty, it is the comfort zone and he has shown zero attempts to improve as a player the last 5 years.

  6.

Group of lads aged 20-27 drinking on a coach. Hardly a shocking image.

Finished a long season, may not have a been an adequate season but I dont think we can begrudge them having a drink.

Nah just posting a picture of them laughing and joking after people have paid good money to watch them roll over again.

Again - what do you expect them to be like?

Show a bit of humility, and not post this shit up after that performance.

  8. Lmao... the guy's having a beer with his mates. I fail to see the problem? Every footballer in the league that isn't tea total will be doing the exact same thing.

I still think we have the worst fans in the league for this sort of bollocks.

Fair enough but why post it on the internet after another totally shocking performance.

He is taking the piss big time.

  9.

Absolutly inept performance again, shame we never got to see the ear cupped celebration again proving us all wrong.

Big time contract, big time attitude, big time pisshead, big time lard arse.

    Get rid.

Are you actually saying he's an alcoholic? Because he's been pictured drinking a beer? And I suppose you've never drunk a beer in your life?

It's not just this picture though. It's clear he likes a drink, it's clear for all to see how his performances have dipped from last season, clear to see how his attitude has changed, clear to see how gobby he has become, clear to see the weight he's put on, clear to see he is blowing out of his arse after a few runs. Clear to see he is often amongst the least touches per game.

This myth that he works hard is nonsense too.

  11. Yes Bacuna has the extra pace Lowton puts in a better ball and reads the game better...

Lowton doesn't read the game at all. That's his problem.

The amount of times I have seen him flummoxed by a simple one two is ridiculous, gets drawn into the centre way too much when defending, allows players to run goal side. He has no awareness and no idea what is going on around him.

I expected this coming from league one, but he really hasn't pushed on as I hoped.

He is useful with the ball though, and can put it a great delivery so that's something.

  12.

I think he's a good player, would take him, I remember his debut for man city was at villa park, he was outstanding, best player on the pitch

Maybe we should get Luke Moore back then too.

    No thanks on Nedum!!

What's Ethan up to these days I wonder?

Playing part time and sitting in a taxi office, outstanding on his debut though so sign him up.

  14. Was a decent prospect 7 years ago but not now.

On about £50k and hasn't pushed on at all. Clueless at CB, pace gets him out of trouble at RB.

I wouldn't want him anywhere near our squad.

  15. You do realise the difference between elite PL football and a pre season game played at a nothing tempo against a league one side?

He was bought for the future, he will get his chance. He probably would have by now if not for injuries. Relax

  16. He did nothing, if it was Benteke/Kozak/Weimann/Gabby/Bent putting in that performance he would be getting dogs abuse on here.

Why do we love an underdog and praise some mediocrity?

    Mediocre being generous.

Where we are now financially any player on the wages N'Zogbia is rumoured to be on must be a stand out player to justify the expense.

I believe, while he's out injured, we get covered for his wages on our insurance. It's possible it just suited us for him to "come back" from his "holidays" with "an injury"

You recon the club are committing insurance fraud? That's a pretty serious allegation.

I think he is injured.. but hes just stating that it worked in our favour.. im sure they weren't in a rush to get the medicals/operations sorted!

    Really?!

Yeah, I am sure N'Zogbia wouldn't mind his career and livelihood being dealt with like this....

And insurance companies will just shell out £40k per week without assessing the injury for themselves with an independent doctor??

No they don't shell out money covering salaries.

The premiums to insure every player in the squad versus a select few getting injured is not worthwhile. Think about it.

What an absolute joke of a post.

I don't think we would be getting his salary paid through insurance, to insurance every player to cover salary etc... whilst injured is not worthwhile or financially viable.

  20. £20m net spend will probably just about be enough to stand still next season. It won't be enough to significantly improve what we have. It depends what we're aiming for. If it is top 8/10 then I think we'd need more like £50-60m.

How much did Newcaslte, Stoke and West Ham spend to be hovering around 10th place?

Mass hysteria as usual, we don't need to spend £60m, Lambert has got his squad now, the wage budget is down, £20m can get us 3 very capable players. I have no doubt if we can just get one top DM we could push onto 10th place. Which is progress.

now we add quality, even more so in another 12 months when Bent, Zoggy and Hutton are shipped.

  21. Don't believe the Zola for manager rumours. However Zola as head if youth development ?! I could see happening. My money is literally on De Boer

You have threw away your money then, no 'name' will be coming here (not that I really rate De Boer anyways but that is a different matter.) I can't see anyone proven out there who would work under these constraints.

We will stick with what we have, hopefully Bent and Hutton gets a lucrative contract in some jokeshow league and we can add 3 very good, experienced, proven players to the squad he has assembled. Then will be the time to judge Lambert.
