Todibo would be a good signing but I would be very surprised if he's not at Man Utd come September.
Would be a great replacement for Carlos who isn't unbelievable in the air either.
We'd need £15m for Carlos to break even on his book value I think, which won't be easy, I doubt we turn enough profit so it won't be a case of sell Carlos, buy Todibo.
But maybe sell Carlos & Digne, sign Hermoso & Todibo?

Why would that be our shirt. Real Union are just using our colours.

Don't you think Konsa might get in one of your teams. He's looked at home in an England shirt.
I'd play him yeah, but I don't think Southgate starts him
-
Or this, with Mainoo as a 6, Rice 8?
CB as a partnership could really go any way imo. Guehi is the best imo, but hasn't shown it for England.
Pickford
Walker Stones Guehi Shaw
Rice Mainoo
Saka. Jude. Foden
Kane

He won't go back 3 In the group games. Unless he wants to play TAA on the right
That's what I think is possible
Pickford
Walker Stones Gomez
Trent. Shaw
Rice. Bellingham
Saka. Foden
Kane

Bit of a weird feeling about this England squad. Does anyone know what the first XI or formation is going to look like? There usually been a solid core who you know will play. This time the squad looks very young and hard to predict how we'll set up and perform.
I think it could depend on why Maguire was dropped. If he wanted him, but injury forced his hand, we may see a Back 3. If he finally feels somebody beat out Maguire, the decision will be who partners Rice and Rice played as a 6 or 8

I think Toney makes it in. Ollie obviously deserves to be there too. I think they both go.
I think Ollie gives you something different and a better chance of a goal late in a game. Toney gives you a better chance of scoring a Penalty in a shootout.
Both only really get on the pitch if:
- something else has gone wrong and we throw Strikers at it,
- or Kane is injured.
And if Kane gets injured, you probably want both there or you may wind up with Bowen up front or Palmer/Foden as False 9 as the only strike options.
Which also probably means, if one of Ollie/Toney don't go, Bowen has to be there as RW cover for Saka and emergency ST cover for Kane

Original. From a podcaster, believe he used to work at Bleacher Report until they went out on their own. Though weirdly, Sam Tighe, who is on the same podcast is the Villa fan, so weird it hasn't come from him

Box to box midfielder with 29 goals in a season. Yikes.

I assume I've missed sarcasm in these posts, but if not just incase:
The stats are the Percentile he is in of similar players. He was in the 29th Percentile for Goals, which is low. The higher the number, the better, that's why the coloured area of the graph is larger in stats where the Percentile is higher.
Thuram scored 1 goal last season.

Yep - Trafford most likely.
3 more to go - another defender definitely (Dunk or Branthwaite I'd guess). Think Gomez gets in as LB cover with Shaw being a fitness risk. I think Konsa goes too tbh. I think he's 4th CB in the pecking order and obviously offers versatility.
Another midfielder will be cut. I think Bowen is in trouble, must be third choice RW and we have a lot of left-footed players (although not much pace). But possibly Eze or Gordon miss out.
I think he'll take both Watkins and Toney. So it will be another fringe player (Wharton, or one of the other defenders/midfielders I mentioned) - depends on how he wants to balance the squad.
Agreed.
I think Wharton should go. He'll be a mainstay soon imo, would be disappointed if he was sent home

A keeper will be removed as well
Yeah I think think
- Trafford
- Dunk
- Gordon
- Eze
- Maddison
- Jones
- Quansah
Don't make it. Not sure I'd agree with it, but that's what I think happens

If he gets some game time at the euros and does well think there will be plenty of interest for what price who knows.
I agree, the hype is a bit down on him at the moment, but it won't take long to come back with some form.
He might not get the Arsenal move that he seemed destined for, but Chelsea, Spurs and Arsenal all need a striker. City may be selling Alvarez. Who knows what happens if he has a great Euros and their other more exciting targets don't come off?
I personally can't see it as likely, but it's certainly in his range of outcomes that he has a great Euros and ends up at one of these clubs.

Madison, Curtis Jones and Quansah not going to be part of the squad. 4 Cuts left, surely Ollie makes it through, Konsa going to be tight.

Juventus do not have the cash to buy Luiz, it’s really a non-starter. We will be asking something like £80mill to £100mill for Luiz, while Juventus’ total transfer budget is estimated to be €40mill = £34mill.
Unless our financial situation is so bad that we are forced to more or less give Luiz away.
Except the way the deal is supposedly structured is we'd be buying Soule and McKennie from them, which would give them the funds to buy Luiz from us. Effectively a swap, but in a way to help the club's get around FFP / PSR

Not for me, we struggled defensively end of the season and we'll be playing better teams next year who can break us down on the counter more easily. I don't think we can trust or rely on him and his moments of magic are too few and far between.

Would we be willing to keep Zaniolo on loan again to save some money and give him a proper pre season and go?
Still has Aston Villa in his profile on IG as well lol.
Just a thought.
I don't think so, metatarsal injured so he's out through the summer (maybe through pre-season?). I like the guy, I feel bad that his career isn't getting off the ground in the way his talent means it probably should.
But I wouldn't want to be relying on him in a key Champions League game, he was the most dispossessed player in the Prem last year with a decent number of appearances, we'll be knackered mid-end of next season, I wouldn't want to be relying on him for a goal and hoping that he doesn't lose the ball in a key area of an important game

Does it? Do we have a situation? Not sure we have a situation that we have to sell before 30th June
Similarly not sure we don't?
But we're being told we do.

I think the wide ranging belief is Hermoso would come in to do the Konsa role on the left side. Giving us the option to play either:
Konsa Carlos* Pau Moreno
Or
Cash* Konsa Pau Hermoso
*Possibly replaced by new transfers
