  1. So I see Westwood getting the usual negative bullshit in here despite him being one of our better players and having a solid game so far.  Gardner has been terrible and I'd really like more pace upfront, I'd have gardner and gestede off for tishbola and grealish and put ayew upfront, McCormack being not being match fit might mean gestede plays the full game tho

  2. Show fight and plenty of heart today lads, I feel every player out there bar Bacuna and Gestede will do just that and hopefully Ayew and McCormack will have the quality to create and score goals.

  3. Win, lose or draw but as long as we show fight and character I'll be hopeful for the season.  I'd kinda like us to concede first just to see what kind of reaction the players give.  Hopeful for some positive signs.

  4. Was just in paddy powers and Andy Gray was talking about the football and I thought I heard him say Villa singing Robert Snodgrass was a real sign of intend so as soon as I got in I was expecting to see we had signed him but I guess he meant to say Ross McCormack.  I'd have Snodgrass here if he was available

  5. Watched 'The 5th Wave' a few nights ago and thought it was ok'ish,  the story was good but the end was pretty dumb and a typical everything falls into place with perfect timing bollox ending.  6/10

Watched '1408' tonight and enjoyed it as I do with most Stephen King stuff. I liked the trippy side to things and I think it's the first time I've enjoyed John Cusack in a movie, probably because he gets terrorized. 6.5/10

HITC are the only site I've blocked on Newsnow.

Well they broke the news at the same time as the Daily Mail about McCormack fee being agreed and the author of the piece was Graeme Bailey who is a reliable journo so maybe they are improving as a news outlet.

Try working on your adding up then.

    Bacuna + Hutton = 2 RB's, not 1.

Grealish, Bacuna, Adama, Tishbola, and 2 incoming = 6 midfielders, not 3

Better still, try posting your own opinions instead of hovering around discecting other peoples in a childish, pedantic attempt to make yourself look oh so clever.

So just 2 centre backs and 1 left back?  Ok then :P

    Yeah-Only 1 goalie as well. It's good isn't it?

I'll leave you to work out whether you've read it wrong or whether you're just being rather silly.

Pretty sure your post was rather silly to begin with so I guess I was just continuing the trend ;)

    In this order:

    1. Creative midfielder
    2. Defensive midfielder to play alongside Tishbola
    3. If we're not going with Adama then another creative/wide midfielder
    4. RB
    5. CB
    6. Another striker

4 already in another 6 to go and keep Grealish, Amarvi, Aywe and Adama.

I'd be more than happy never to hear any others mentioned again-Certainly not as Villa players.

Realistically, Bacuna looks to be staying so I suppose I will have to live with that.

So you'd be happy with us having 2 centre backs, 1 left back, 1 right back and 3 midfielders in the squad or am I reading that wrong? ...

  10. Don't care what the fee is, just get it done.  I like that he creates goals as well as scores them. He's probably being involved in more goals over the past couple of seasons than our entire team has managed to score.

  11. His tactics and team selection were shit vs Boro and was the same shit as last season.  I hope this excuse of 'it takes longer than a couple of months to fix years of mistakes' isn't what we are gonna be listening to, we need a manager who can go in and get shit sorted sharpish, fair enough if the owner doesn't back him but I get the feeling RDM thinks he has the midas touch which won't work on our shit squad.

  12. I don't see this as positive news. Only a couple of days ago the manager said he was staying and now when given the first opportunity to go, Clark is jumping ship.  This to me is a sign that not much has changed within the club and he doesn't want to hang around for more of the same as the past few years.  All the signs are that we are under prepared and I'm losing hope with this new regime.

  13. Xia tweeted earlier that RDM told him that we have some great talents but that the management was wrong. It's fair enough to blame the managers but truth is the owner didn't care and his lack of funding was a bigger issue.  This worries me a lot as RDM must obviously rate himself and probably thinks he can get them performing. We got the change at the top and now we need it on the pitch.

    I just didn't see him.

I especially didn't see him when their players were jogging through what looked like an empty sunlit meadow on their way to tapping home their second goal.

He can't score, he doesn't assist, he can't tackle, he can't take a corner or a freekick or create a chance out of nothing. He's trash to be honest. Hard working, maybe, but absolute trash.

Someone from our left side passed a ball into the centre to Westwood but it was way too far infront of him and he had to stretch for it leaving him on the ground while Boro strung 2 passes together and were in. I can't see any reason to blame him for that.?
