all the talk of NDIDI on here, not sure if its anywhere else, but for my sins, ive had the dis-pleasure of going to around 7/8 Leicester games this season and the player who has impressed me the most by a country mile on each occasion was Harry Winks in the defensive midfield role.  Hed suit us far better than Ndidi.   He will go and take the ball in pockets off the back 4, and draw in the opposition then find a gap with a good ball forward.     Albeit Championship, hes been the best player ive seen this season in that league and, tin hat at the ready, would be a good squad option for us at what id assume would be a decent price and suit the way we play.

Just my opinion, and no basis behind it other than what i've seen

Ive personally never seen the reasons behind his reputation , i've always thought he was a good player

I will possibly allow this but he must be forced to wear the number 40.

He's been giving it his all, you could see that by the way he keeps running and trying to get involved, his all just isn't good enough.

If that's his all, then let's hope we never, ever see him again.

  3. He's OK for backup if he's got Emi in goal or is alongside Pau but with Olsen and Lenglet, there's nobody to marshall the defence. Was always going to be a shitshow today. If we can get a decent price for him, I'd sell.

Played like...a centre back that has started 1 game all season, in a 2 man midfield alongside a player that can either no longer run or no longer wants to.

Had absolutely no idea where he was, where to stand and who to mark, much like the Man City game.

Clearly won't be here next season. Good attitude overall but doesn't have the quality.

It's not a good attitude if he hasn't a bloody clue what he's doing given how much Emery prepares his players for every game.

    Farewell appearance for Olsen? Hopefully!

Thank God we get to say a tearful goodbye to a player that we really developed a strong emotional bond with.

I know the game isn’t very important and that half the players are probably on the piss but I imagine Unai will be seething because of this performance.

We shouldn’t overreact to a game or two but the squad might need a serious re-shuffling around the edges.

He absolutely should be tbf. Absolutely terrible performance today, even considering that it's a dead rubber.

Can’t think of many occasions where a Premier League manager/coach has played his son? Ferguson maybe when he must have played Darren?

Dean Smith/Trezeguet. He was everyone's son tbf.

Expect him to leave in a similar deal to Aaron Ramsey and Archer… seen less of him than expected too…

nowhere near ready and especially at the level we will be playing at…

Yeah but nowhere near the fees we got for them. If we can get 4/5m, then we've done well.

Yeah, he doesn’t look like a Bailey, Diaby kind of highlight player, but he looks solid, dare I say, ‘old fashioned’ centre mid.

Tielemans is the closest comparison in the squad, I think.

Not the most thrilling of highlights packages… 😂

True, but it gives you a good sense of what kind of player he is and he looks like he'd fit right in, in an Emery team.

If we sell him on is it still a 100% win for FFP or does the fact that we have signed him back from Sheffield now mean he isn't classed as a product of the youth system?

Or does them being relegated effectively turn this into a glorified loan deal?

I'd imagine it will basically work out as the glorified loan deal where Sheffield United simply don't pay us the agreed fee had they stayed up. Whatever it is, it'll be done to look best on the accounts.

Olise release is supposed to be around 60million , city would want at least 50 million for Grealish, thinks if was a choice between the two, it's a no brainer . Olise is only gonna get better and Jack has probably peaked

Don't think we'll be spending that on any one player this window tbh.

I'd love Villa to get that dirty horrible team from Glasgow and give them a hiding like we did Hibs.

I've known so many of their fans over the years and they absolutely disgust me; they genuinely think they are the most important team on the planet.

    Which one? 🤣

If this is the one I'm thinking of, isn't he meant to be a prodigious talent and people were scratching heads when he went to Saudi?

We can allow a lapse in judgement from a young player tbf. He'd need to take quite the pay cut though.
