Interesting how, since Rothschilds were appointed, that there haven't been any leaks to the press about the takeover. I take that as a sign that the whole thing is now being managed in a professional way.
What is does mean, is that nothing will happen for months yet. I'm sure the process of finding a buyer and agreeing on the sale conditions will take up until the summer.
So what was all this crap about "takeover done by the new year" and "the next 72 hours crucial"??
Aston Villa is a product. You buy it if you are happy with it. You leave it on the shelf if you're not. That is the only say in the matter that we have.
Has anybody bought today's Daily Express? A work colleague just told me there is a story in there from with Ellis saying that the Comer deal is dead because they were only interested in Villa's land and have noe realised they cannot make any money from it. I haven't seen it myself but apparently it has quotes from Ellis in it.
I'm glad someone has come out publicly and said this though. No one really seems to know what is going on, it would be great if someone could say something - LSE rules permitting of course!
