  1. It's not my business what other people choose to do. But it seems strange to complain about the club's lack of funds for players, while not attending games. The club need the money.

If 5000 don't go for 19 home games, that's around £2.5m lost. As an example.

ANd if the club was marketed properly or was sufficiently attractive enough then there would be no need to worry about the 5000 you mention who don't go. There would be 20,000 waiting to replace them.

Do you think our fan base is restricted to the amount of people we can get into the ground?

  2. the stance we choose to take of self sacrifice for the greater good, even if its only a small impact on my individual part, is in the hope that things will change for the better...

if thats damaging short term but makes our long term future better, then thats the cross we have to bare....

How noble the Villa Park martyrs are. How enlightened that they can see what us 'normal' Villa fans cannot.

Did your boycott mean you didn't go to Rotterdam?

No, you see Ellis wasn't in charge then

  3. Must be nasty to have made that decision and still fancy individual games. My uncle is on the same non-Villa diet and he's had to stop himself wanting to go to specific games. Blose this season is the most obvious yet. A little vein goes in his head when it comes up in conversation. Poor bastard.

I made the decision and the wife bought me a season ticket

  4. I don't think it will happen any more. I really want it to, but I just don't see either party being eager to resolve it.

Not sure TBH. I think the behind the scenes of both sides are eager to resolve it.

The behind the scenes of Ellis being his family and the behind the scenes of the Comers being Villa fan Neville

  5. But if there is a fixed price agreed between vendor and purchaser, that surely has no earing on the other share price?

It could also mean that large investors are selling high in order to buy low. Just turning over their investment to make money.

    It's no big deal

  6. I didn't live to see it, since I was born in 1985, but it is highly recognized that our win in the Champions League was due to poor opposition early on,

    Highly recognised by who exactly?

Take it from someone who was there. We were awesome for three seasons. We were champions of Europe. That is officially the best club side in europe.

Villa fans in playing down the history of the club shock. Or should I say you call yourself fans. Disgracfeul

    Onto the takeover.

    The month was up

The 48 hours is now up

    What next?

  7. I think there's more to it than price.

My comment on the £11 was that I doubt very much whether Ellis takes his responsibility to shareholders very seriously at all. I suspect he sees them as a hinderance.

As such if I believe that he ignores his responsibility to them, then I cannot see how he is working with their interests at heart now

  8. Stakeholders. I take that word to include me, as a fan. And he's not doing what I expect of him. I'm pretty sure a few shareholders feel the same in their position too.

Stakeholders are anyone with an interest in the company. So fans are included, as are employees.

  9. It's the chairmans responsibility to maximise shareholders return on investment.

What about those that invested £11 per share?

Not necassrily the case you see. It is his responsibility to act as stewared of the company for shreholders and stakeholders. Return on investment is never guaranteed. The value of shares can go down as well as up.

  10. The way the club are leaking information is a f'cking disgrace its supposed to be a plc not a tinpot business!

    I'd agree with this Mike.

In addition I don't think that people can call Ellis a liar and say he lies all the time and then go and believe him over this. That just wouldn't be consistent would it.

  11. there are apparently a 6 strong team of investers willing to buy into the constortium but the commers are about to pull out, after michael neville has failed to convince them that its worth buying. but talks are still ongoing.

Where is Mr Box when you need him?

  12. I'd heard that the Comers have actually pulled out because they thought they were buying Leeds and Ellis said, "At least we aren't Leeds".

Or is it because Ellis wouldn't sell them the patent and copywirght to his bicycle kick?
