Next game we get cuellar back so that will rectify a few problems we had down the right hand side tonight. Usually we have milner tracking back to defend but heskey was never gonna be good at doing that. Beye isn't good enough and it certainly didn't help his case that he didn't get help from Heskey. Reo coker did alright when he came on.

It is dissapointing that we lacked urgency during the last 20 minutes. It was as though the team was settling for a draw. I know MON certainly didn't want a draw, he was livid at beye for taking his time walking off the pitch when he got sent off. We shouldn't be dropping points to these kind of teams if we want top 4. Frustrating match to watch. They deserved the win,they created more chances.

NRC man of the match definitely. Hassled their players throughout the game and ran the show in midfield. Also carragher and torres are such annoying whinging pricks.The way carragher just tried to lift ash up when he was still injured on the ground really pissed me off.

Well I did say about 30 or so pages ago (cant be bothered to search back) that Eidur G would be a brilliant signing for us. he can score goals, has technique, vision, comfortable on the ball and could possibly be a similar player to Merson.

surely we want a striker that scores goals for fun ? not a playmaker type that will chip in with 10 or so

we need a proper, out and out, goalscorer

Gabby and Moore are out and out goalscorers.I really hope moore stays and fix his alleged attitude problem.Gabby can score goals regularly when playing in the striker position and not on the wing.Gabby reminds me of thierry henry and playing of the last defender, will score about 15 goals if played regularly.Moore is the most natural finisher at the club.He has the ability or luck? to turn up at the right place at the right time and is a poacher.Add Gudjohnsen and we will have brilliant options.And if carew gets injured,touch wood,eidur can takeover even though they don't have similar playing styles.

Fernando Torres is a huge talent, a huge name and he is like 22. Always played in the same team, which have never been in title contention, can probably pick the club he wants to join, except Real Madrid of course who wants no business with Atl. Madrid. John Carew on the other hand has no proven goalscoring record, he has a history of injuries and his career is on the downer as he stepped down from a Champions League team to a mid-table Premiership club, it also didn't seem like many clubs, if any, were interested. I know you are not saying these are similar types of deals but in my eyes they are lightyears away

I agree that they are lightyears away and that's why i said our chances of signing him are miniscule.I also think that trezeguet is a level higher than carew.I used carew as a base case because he is the best european former champs league player that we have.

news that Bayern Munich are releasing Roy Makaay + Santa Cruz. They are supposed to buy Klose and already have bought Luca Toni of course. Makaay is not that old is he..?? And still could do a job i figure. Classic goalscorer. Could go for a bargain price as well because of his age.

If we are buying players based on FM,we should get Oscar Ustari as GK,Ratinho as RB,Kompany as CB,Mauro Zarate as CF,Nicolas Millan as winger and Gerardo Torrado as DM.In real life though, only Torrado and Kompany are proven good.I can't judge the others as I haven't watched them play.
