Bon Jovi- Runaway
Great song. Their best one i think.
Agreed.
Aye, but saying something is Bon Jovi's best song like saying herpes is the best of all STDs.
For me "Bon Jovi - Runaway" has always been an instruction.

Do you not ever talk to God? If so, are you saying he never speaks back to you? That would be miserable!
A key point I think. I neither talk to God nor have him talk back to me. I'm not miserable. Far from it. The fact that you think I should be suggests that there is something missing in your life that you have to fill with superstition and myth. You need 'God' to avoid misery. I don't.

Sorry, but claiming you could match a professional F1 driver in any sort of car is an extraordinary claim. Their reaction time, speed of thought, judgement and indeed thier ability to know the car's limits are far superior to your average punter. It's what seperated them from other kids in go karts when they were 8 or whatever for a start.

I tell you what then........
Lets do bugger all because it's all too hard to do! I think not knowing how many people are in the country syphoning money from our economy is quite the the most wonderful liberal lefty way to live? No id card - no rights and "turrah".
You're losing me - are you for the ID card? Should we pursue it despite Solvoes essay and that letter from those 'boffins' that Gringo posted? Maybe the next paragraph will clarify the point...
And public fear is one thing. What would you be thinking if you really knew what a state we are in? Though I do tend to think the id cards are ill thought out and knee jerk.
Ah right. You think it's i'll thought out and knee jerk. Me too, amongst numerous other things.
But, if you do no wrong, what's the problem?
The airport stuff is a nonsense - villains lie!
No really - they do!
Er, you're losing me again.
Bottom line:
The politicians can't work it out so they just look after themselves and have great big wages and daft expenses! Nothing will happen until the next "big event" perish the thought we have rioting like France recently and then....worse!
Oh happy thread!
Nope, I've gone
"turrah"

Although to be honest I'd watch "Strictly Paint Drying" if Ola Jordan was in it!
Never heard of him
-
it would be competetive football and a bit of interest from the nation...
That's the bottom line for me Pablo - got to be better than friendlies - one thing they won't be is friendly!

No one old enough to remember when thousands and thousands of Jocks used to start arriving roaring drunk in London around Thursday tea-time and laying the centre waste?
And England fans would never dream of doing such a thing.
Nice how you're blaming the Scots in advance for any public disorder which might occur, when recent history would seem to suggest it's not us that has a problem anymore.
Well said. The fact is that most of us are not old enought to remember those days, but plenty young enough to remember English fans running amok in Europe.
The Tartan Army have a great reputation these days - earned over a couple of decades of drunken, but peaceful behaviour.
The one I worry about would be the Wales game. Cardiff's Soul Crew amongst others against the worst we have (Blues, Chelsea, Leeds etc) would not be pretty.
EDIT: Sorry OF, didn't see your response before I posted mine. Points taken - probably would have avoided such responses if you'd have said all that in the first place though, instead of basically saying "The Scottish will come and destroy our green and pleasant land again"

They make a big profit so must be evil.
What about those who do it by exploiting kids in the third world? Should we just let them get on with it?

Aye, Pepsi for me from now on in me Cuba Libres.
I would vote, but I don't understand the options.

actually it was Mellberg who lost Forsell, Zat was marking Jerome
Nope at fault for their goal - and went missing a few times especially towards the end.I thought Knight did really, really well today. He was good on the head, and looked comfortable to be honest. But do I give a monekys now? NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nope, Zat came out to try to win the ball high up the pitch, missed it tioally and got turned - he then laboured back and was still jogging in when forsell scored.
thank goodness it didn't matter. But I still think he's a liability
Forsell was Laursen's man. He gave him too much space.
-
Nice work from Petrov, both the pass to Carew and then when he won the ball and had the assist.
Indeed - he's started well

A bit of possession would be nice

Oh and yes, paper champion was correct until last night
To me, and most of the boxing world from what I can tell, it has been obvious for years that Calzaghe is a class act, regardless of reasons for not fighting Jones or Hopkins. I didn't need last night to tell me that.
-
I was disappointed in the judges tonight, the fight wasn't as one sided as they seemed to have it.....thought maybe it was my anti-Calzaghe bias but no, it seems the beeb actually know how to score a fight too - round for round exactly the same as I had it:-
The same BBC who's headline today is Awesome Calzaghe defeats Kessler?
and was Calzaghe's big-bout brilliance the other day? They got them right too. As did Steve Bunce:
Everyone knows how to beat Calzaghe. You have to stay tight and connect with fast punches, put him on the back foot and don't take any punches.
Just like everyone knows how to beat Floyd Mayweather or Ricky Hatton. I know how to break the 100 metres world record but it doesn't mean I can do it.
He could have fought Jones, Hopkins, provided he was prepared to fight for nothing and Frank Warren was prepared to lose £3/4 million quid - it made no common sense.
Paper champion? Pah!
Bloomin magnificent, as was the pre-fight tribute to the wonderful Ray Gravell. Great sporting day yesterday all round.

There is no contract Santa, you can join up for just a month!
Any one off fee to sign?
Don'tyou have to give a months notice before cancelling, so you end up paying for two months anyway? The month you wanted it on for, then your months notice period?
Yeah, one off fee of a tenner, and you do have to give one months notice. I decided to phone them - they told me this, then, after 10 seconds of me umming and aahing they waived the £10 signing up fee.

Try Flight of The Conchords, My Name is Earl and the hopefully soon to return of the mighty Harry Hill's TV Burp.
My name is earl is brilliant (although the new series is dragging a bit, they need to get Earl out of prison) Flight of the Conchords however, I just don't why anyone thinks it's at all funny.
Ah, im not going mad then, Ive seen it not laughed once, and im a student for crissake, this is supposed to be the offbeat stuff "to get"
I have to say I think I might have just got lucky with the couple of episodes I caught at first (2 and 3). The ones I have seen since haven't been quite as good. Still titterworthy IMO. This bit from episode 2 made me laugh til it hurt though.
Anyway, this is OT so I'll get it back on track. Er, Top Gear is still average!

I think I might have to then. Are the Villa on there in the next month? That would be a bit of a bonus
EDIT: Just checked, and the Arsenal game is on there on December 1st. A month from today. That's sealed it then. What a media sucker I am!

Does Calzaghe ever fight outside of Wales?
More than half of his fights have been outside of Wales yeah, but even the biggest Joe fan has to concede that he doesn't exactly like to travel if he can help it!

Russell Brand's is pretty good, as is the Now Show and the News Quiz, both of which come with the BBC Friday Night comedy podcast. I did like the Russ and Jon podcast from 6 Music but they started to grate on me after a while. I'm enjoying Adam and Joe at the minute, but I'm not sure if they have a podcast. I expect so, must have a look.
