I personally think we need to be looking at higher calibre than the like of Phillips and Rhodes.

Defoe wouldn't work give this system unless he's going to be a direct replacement for Bent. What we need to invest in is quality attacking players to replace N'Zogbia and Ireland.

It will take time given this system.

My view is that to play this system you'll need better and more consistent attacking players than Ireland and N'Zogbia. N'Zogbia is just poor, Ireland is too inconsistent and frankly a luxury player that we cannot afford.

Holman is not fully fit and needs time to settle, can't say he's not good enough purely off the back of today, absolute knee-jerk bollocks.
