Pathetic team, pathetic mentality. Wrong approach from the start and once again we’ve lost at home to a top half team. And not just lost but totally embarrassed.

We’re just a small provincial club these days with the odd good season. We have financial issues and our ambition in January was to sign a mid table championship player. We’ve been in this position many times before and bottled it. Back to mid table next season I reckon.

Hi I'm a fish, you caught me well done 🐠

  2. Jesus I said half an hour ago I thought we were shutting up shop to avoid screwing the goal difference in case it ends up 5-0 and now I wouldn't put it past Torres just getting the ball and hammering it into our net.

I said pre game we would find the pressure too much. We always do in big games.

Disagree with that. Great goal could do nothing about for their first shot on target and then shat the bed with that pass for the second. Other than that we've more than coped with the game.

Matches like this with no real chances, you're always screwed if you make a mistake or the opposition do something inch perfect. Just bad luck it happened within 5 mins

  4. We're by far the better side even though we're not at the races which is a good sign. Probably something to do with how we're playing a new formation and deliberately counteracting Spurs instead of trying to outplay them with our usual play.

Spurs don't have another way of playing other than running even harder, Emery has the nouce and the players on the bench to change this.

    Fingers crossed.

Said previous, have you not watched spurs. They proper come out the blocks 2nd half, we need to be on it, not bring on inexperience.

Oh sorry you said you think Spurs will be good second half? My opinion is completely invalid then I should have kept my mouth shut.

  6. Feeling relatively confident, we've had several chances to go ahead whereas we're stopping their build up well enough. They're using a lot more energy with this style than we're using to counteract it.

Wouldn't be surprised to have Rogers and Duran both on the pitch later in the match causing havoc whilst Van der Ven and Romero are breathing out their arse cheeks

  7. 1874 could easily be the best podcast around but it's getting left in the dirt.

I used to watch 1874 every time in spite of what annoys me, but now, I load it up, 85% of the time it's Dan saying "not sure if we're live" or slagging off the producer or guest in some way as a reason for starting late, then he introduces Greg. By that point I'm completely out and the episode is off.

The Square Ball is a good example of how to do football podcasts. Get everyone in the room and film it, the costs might be higher but the change in quality is immense and draws in worldwide audiences and a good percentage of fans of other clubs too.

Think Claret and Blue podcast are going that way now and they're my favourites. I kind of wish Dan would lend his talents to that set up and go all in with them, just ditch 1874 completely. We've got some great talents and good podcasts but it's beyond saturation point and if some of them who are in it full time and within a close distance just met up daily to have a chat it would draw in much bigger audiences.

Edit: Dan's mentioned he reads comments so if he ever sees this I want to be clear, Greg's the one who annoys me and brings the brand down and hats off to you for creating your own brand and podcast and making it full time in media. I just think working with other people would improve your product and help them get more out of theirs too.

Insurance will have covered his wage I imagine, so probably not costing us anything even at the moment. Maybe starting to train would be the cut off.

Not sure how we'd agree a mutual termination though,  he'd want the money he's owed and I wouldn't blame him one bit for waiting to get it and using our elite facilities to try and get himself to a level that earns him another contract.

This might be doing him a massive disservice but if he's just decided to not train or play anymore, or if we okay'd that, then coming into January Monchi could have gone through the list of players Emery didn't want at the club anymore and tried to terminate his contract.

We'd have grounds to terminate as he's not fit for purpose, he cannot play elite level football which is what we're paying for. So the option for him is take the termination handshake and part ways, or come back to training to prove you are still fulfilling the contract. And hey presto, he's back at bodymoor.

I'm not sure that's the case though as his cryptic updates on socials seem to suggest he's annoyed about how he's being treated.

  9. Honestly think he's done with his football career now and is back in training as we're paying him and need the numbers.

Think we're a few months away from a mutual termination of the contract that won't damage PSR too much. I was wondering if we'd terminate the contract the same time as Traore but maybe the implications for him are different?

  10. If the article is right and we can send 3/4 players out there I wonder who else will turn out for them. Might be good to send one of our keepers over as we seem to have too many good prospects for the games our teams play, someone is always missing out on minutes.
