  1. Cheers for that Julie but it doesn't fit in with what our CEO has just said today: http://www.pinkun.com/norwich-city/david_mcnally_exclusive_norwich_city_spread_search_for_paul_lambert_s_replacement_to_europe_1_1398556
  2. Err, no they haven't, we've denide that this morning.
  3. A hero? Despite seemingly having pushed your star striker towards the exit and perhaps having cost you compensation for Lambert? None of which has actually happened yet! Forget the 'little old Norwich' tag of three years ago, that died when McNally came to the club.. PS. When are you unvailing your new saviour? Which is why I said "seemingly", "towards" rather than through and "perhaps". I think you will notice I'm aware none of those things have happened yet but there is a distinct possibility that they will and should they do so to hold him as a hero is more than a little odd. As for forgetting the tag or little old Norwich, I never attached such a tag but it seems odd to me to think McNally is the one who has turned you around when it seems 'your' saviour was Lambert. As for our press conference to announce the appointment of Lambert, there is no rush. Oh and we don't need a saviour, we've never left the Premier League you only need one of those when you drop like a stone to League One. Good reposte mate.

  5. We call McNally..McNasty, a nickname he earnt at Fulham......and yes, he's a big hero to us.
  6. IChildish but amusing LOL Somehow I don't think Wiz will find quite as amusing though haha The day I get rattled over a mad drunk bint is the day I give up.
  7. I find it quite hilarious that suddenly all you Villa fans have become experts on OUR contracts. I'd say arrogant as well, but I'm far too nice to say that.
  8. I understand why you'd be bitter, we ourselves have been in the situation countless times where our best players have moved onto bigger clubs and just because you finished above us last season by no mean means you're bigger than us. Not that there aren't plenty of Villa fans with ideas above their stations either. However, not that I expect you to be happy, but Lambert took you from a nothing club and got you back-to-back promotions and back into the Premier League in three seasons. You owe him more than you could know, and yet you don't wish him well? How ungrateful people can be. When Milner left for Man City I was annoyed, but not at the man himself. He's a true professional and I appreciated what he did for us. Show a little class. Oh and welcome Mr Lambert. Very pleased with this appointment and can't wait for him to start. Lambert was nothing when we took a risk with him....it works both ways.
  9. So now you have him, a ruddy good manager no doubts on that, nasty and selfish, but he knows the game. I don't wish him or AV well, infact I hope he implodes with you. But please cut me some slack, I'm very bitter today, one thing for sure though our game with you at our place should be lively. Cheers.
  10. And you're quibbling over paying it? Wow, what a big club you are. And when you do eventally have him and a top 6 club suddenly needs a manager, enjoy looking over your shoulder.
  11. So you've seen his contract have you or are you believing the Sun ? I think you'll find that he didn't have a clause saying he could talk to other clubs, hence why hes now on gardening leave until you guys come up with compensation that is acceptable to us. So you've seen his contract have you? No but our CEO said yesterday in an interview that we're still trying to agree compensation and if he had a clause saying he could talk to other clubs, then we wouldnt have been able to refuse him permission to talk to you would we ?? That's why paul and others on our side of this are more than a little pissed off with narich. Your club have not acted well in all this and despite all the talk from your fanbase about the relative sizes of the two clubs, naaaarrrrich have shown themselves to be small time and lacking a bit of class and honour. Shame as I always had a bit of time for the club Jesus, look in the mirror ffs! You poach our manager and still you whinge. And by the by, if we've acted wrong, and we have no right to compo, why have you not appointed him yet? Its because leagally you can't.

  13. So what you think Wiz? Still gutted and angry mate, it will go but that will take time. As for his replacement, I've no idea....as long as its not Malky, Bruce or Haugton.

  15. You've been very vocal about how he absolutely positively wouldn't join us, so I understand your frustration and sense of loss (if this actually goes through of course - it's not beyond us to make a balls of it, even at this late stage ) But, when the dust settles, maybe there is some consolation in the fact that he achieved his objectives with you. Probably 90% of managers don't do that. Had Martin O'Neill came in, gave us 3/4 good years that ultimately resulted in CL qualification and then moved on to a bigger job, after the initial disappointment had subsided, most would have been grateful for the job he had done. And understood his reasons for leaving. When you were in League One, a return to the topflight would have seemed like a pipedream. Yet you've done it- in double quick time, too. Even if you struggle next season and ultimately go down, you will be in better shape financially to come straight back up. A decent appointment like Poyet or (much as I dislike him) Holloway could see you build on the solid foundations already in place and defy the odds once again to stay up. I think most neutrals (incl Villa fans) would like to see that. Cheers mate, good post, give me 24 hrs and I'll be a lot happier, its just a little raw atm.
  16. I was, I really trusted the man.........maybe there's a lesson for you in there.
  17. He was refused permission to talk to you last night, no agreement was made previously to allow this. Yes, you may have a top manager, but you won't rest easily, he walks out on everyone....including his wife! I thank him for what he's done here but I'm sure you'll understand when I say I hope he imploads with you. Bitter? Moi?
  18. Isn't he on a year-by-year contract, which expired today? Not that I would wish a manager to turn his back on a club, nor do I wish us to do it underhand, but surely if the contract hasn't been renewed then the CEO can't actually stop any approach.. Correct me if I'm wrong but a rolling contract means just that, rolling. So, a new year started today, if indeed it ran out today.
  19. Sky are saying you'll make an official approach in the next 24 hrs, our CEO has said all approaches would be rejected. After that, Gawd knows.
  20. That was 3 long years ago mate, and I'm pleased you seem to know our budget......because sure as hell we don't!
  21. We have the advantage of knowing how he talks to the local press Mazrim, with respect, you dont. Down here, in all his interviews, he clearly says he's going no where. We call it 'Lambert Speak', that has not changed for 3 years now. We also have a CEO who said we would not welcome or give permission for clubs to speak to him. Hope that helps. Right, cloud canary land it is then. So he answers differently depending on the exposure of the media organisation asking them? What utter bollocks. Where does he say, categorically, that he's going nowhere? And you can quote your Farmers Weekly or whatever it is. What else do you expect your CEO to say, "yes, come and get him and dont worry about the compensation"? No offence mate but you're very naive in these matters. We know all about players and managers "going nowhere". It's nothing but lip service. Hope that helps. Again, with respect, you have no experience of how PL operates, we have 3 years on you. Secondly, you have no idea how Norwich deal with speculation, I have 53 years on you. How Villa operate I haven't a clue nor would I have the arrogance to compare our two clubs. I'm confident Lambert will remain our manager....I have seen nothing to suggest otherwise. So why are you here if your that confident? I don't like to see people chasing wild geese.
