  1. Fair point jjaacckk. The counter argument to that is that this is OGS's first attempt at the Premier League and if he fails it could be a tarnished reputation. Yes Tan is an extenuating circumstance but OGS is a young manager and it's risky putting a failure on your CV and Cardiff is a higher chance of a failure.

but he'd have to put his reputation on the line at some point anyway. why not cardiff? he'll have money to improve which is a lot more than we can say for ourselves at the moment.

and being newly promoted their expectations should be tempered somewhat over the coming years.

if you look past this season it looks a much better job than the baggies job for instance.

  2. does no one else think it's an easy choice for ogs though?

if it starts going pearshaped he has an almost readymade excuse in tan et al. and if tan sacks him he'll be even more minted.

and if it goes well he'll be walking into a big job

  3. Just watching motd and Tom huddlestone absolutely dominating midfield. When he wa mentioned in the summer many people mocked and said he was useless. Well he is exactly what our midfield could use right now. Don't think he would be available now unfortunately.

I thought most people thought that he was injured too often?

a bit like jimmy bullard, very good player but team really pays the price when he's not available.

  4. One thing I noticed, he had a shot from about 35 yards that went way over the bar, the big screen in the north stand showed him holding his hands on his head and he was blowing out of his arse, he looked totally knackered after 30 minutes

there was a moment about 10minutes in, where he'd pressed the ball back to keeper, they the keeper passed it to a cb and gabby pointed to tell him to press the other centre back but he jogged slowly back looking like he couldn't manage much faster.

I'd confidently say he's not completely fit if he hadn't started the game

  5. What was going on after Gabby scored the goal, he ran towards the bench followed by most of the team and they all pretty much ignored Lambert to go and celebrate with someone on the bench. Looked like Lambert got a few half hearted high fives but most of the players seemed to ignore him. Am I reading too much in to this or have the players had enough of the manager? Who did Gabby go to on the bench?

I thought Lambert ignored the players.....

no they literally ran past him, he was trying to hi 5/hug/pat them on the back but he got blanked mostly whilst someone on the bench was mauled.
  6. the benteke stats are surely useless. you are saying we lost more games when he doesn't score. but with nothing to do with whether he was playing or not. if your striker doesn't score then of course you will lose more than when he does.

a better stat would be points scored with and without benteke, which may show the same but that's not the point.

as for comparing him to other managers under lerner it is possible to argue the budgets can play a larger effect on results than the managers ability, dependant on how restrictive they are.

so you might be right on both with what you're saying but we need to compare apple's with apple's.

  7. scrap that its crashing after every game, even online.

game just turned into one expensive coaster ffs

fixed by deleting all saves and then deleting the game app, then installing.

think the problem was a custom pro. but that's working since the fix.

  8. We cannot wrap the kid in cotton wool forever. If he's fit he should be considered a start at Stoke. I suspect he will be on the bench though and lambert will persist with the ineffective KEA.

in all fairness 'wrapping him in cotton wool forever' and not starting him after he's been in full training just over a week after a long term injury (or 2) is not the same thing at all.

I see no point in rushing him back at all, he didn't feature last season or this so far, the squad can cope without him and he should only start when he's truly ready.

I think people need to put on the brakes a bit here with their expectations because the last thing he needs is being rushed back and possibly getting written off when he's not fully ready for the first team or having huge expectations on put on him when he should be in and out the team whilst he finds his feet again.

just my opinion, he may start at stoke but I'd rather a few sub apps before being thrown in at the deep end.

  9. anyone else on ps4 had problems with error messages in single player ?

tried starting one at least 5 times now and I'm getting fifa 'app' crashes at the endow my first match every time=\
