  1. Have any of those clubs dropped like a stone over the last 2 years?

Have any of those clubs paid £12 million in compensation to managers in the last 2 years?

Have any of those clubs seen a drop in attendances like ours recently?

Have any of those clubs appointed a manager that hundreds of fans protested about before it happened?

The shambolic way our club is run is like no other at the moment. So comparing our situation to most well run clubs is pointless.

We are a mess mainly because of our owner.

    This.

    Agreed.

I'll forever hold on to the hope Qatari's will buy us out - hey? I guy can dream...

  2. Bugger that approach, football should be entertaining, especially when we aren't going to be battling it out with the big boys any time soon.

we also need to establish an identity. having plenty of local lads playing good football sounds like a good one to me, not a workmanlike team of journeymen.

I get more enjoyment out of a 1-0 win from a 90th min goal than a 4-0 victory. As I say different people like different things.

I know i get more excitement from a 1-0 win, but my god it tears you to pieces when you think you could lose it at any minute. Sometimes (aka this season) I like to win by 4-0 just because its so emphatic and you don't have to worry about the typical villa that throw away 1-0 leads.

  3. Funnily enough over the speakers at Liverpool we were told to sit down and we laughed it off

although the 'excuse' they used, of being for the kids' sake, did ring kind of true, as there were alot more kids at that game than I had seen at any other away game for a good while. Maybe it was just where I was sitting though, dunno.

Was also very telling how often they had to announce over the PA that Liverpool FC was anti-racism/homophobia/sexism/etc though...in a likewise fashion, I can only presume they've been in trouble for persistant standers sometime this year

Yea there was a young lad infront of me with his parents who had to stand on the seat - thats the whole point of away games surely though - thats why i love them so much, it creates such a better atmosphere! Every away game i've been to we've stood from the first minute to the 90th (with the exception of half time). Strangely though, I was watching the highlights between Tottenham and Norwich the other day and spotted the Norwich fans sitting down and standing up when the players forged an attack. Possibly we are one of the few that constantly stand?

Dad and I were laughing at the anti-racism statement they decided to announce at half time. Makes you wonder doesn't it ;)

  4. There is a section of the Lower Holte on the left hand side as you look directly at it, that stands for the whole of the game. This means they are constantly clapping, singing and chanting - improving the atmosphere. It's seen at away games we constantly stand - it creates a better atmosphere for singing and chanting. Funnily enough over the speakers at Liverpool we were told to sit down and we laughed it off. I can only imagine even however small that section is, if they are classed as Holte Enders they will create an atmosphere, hopefully!

  5. He's a good player, but honestly he isn't captain material. He can be lazy and times and doesn't seem like much of a motivator, I think it needs to be someone in midfield with some grit and determination. Someone like Herd.

  6. im worried as im sure he will get dropped fro Old Trafford fro Emile

I don't think so. When he scored against Fulham he started the next game. I believe he will start against United. He is the only one who looks like he might score a goal at the moment in our team.

  7. Poor performance, but we will not be relegated. Two points in two games is enough. But we don't play well, in fact we play terrible.

I missed the foul in the end, why was second goal for stoke not a legal goal?

Pennants corner had already gone out of play and then back in.

I don't believe draws will keep us up. We need to be beating the shit teams like Stoke. It just puts on so much pressure when we play Bolton at home. You just know the players will be so nervous because its a 6 pointer. Wouldn't be surprised if we lost/drew that game.

Weimann brilliant he needs to start every game...

  8. Yea that's something I noticed - the celebrations of some of the senior players make it seem like they're not bothered. My girlfriends dad said to me rumours are circulating that as soon as we're mathematically safe Lerner is selling up. = Qatari's :)

  9. Bannan was playing in that wing role today and you can clearly see he is not a winger, he doesn't make the runs a winger makes for the fullback and Hutton couldn't give him a pass. I'm sure Carruthers being a winger, will make those runs that are desperately needed, he can get into the box, take on a defender or two and send a good cross in. Give him a chance please MCECK
