  1. I have his email from previous times when he wanted contact and wanted to be helpful

Nice one, good to hear from someone so close to Randy. Have you replied to that email off him?

I would have replied simply and calmly. 'Okay keep the manager for the last 4 games, but sack the bastard on the 94th minute of the Norwich game, before you lose A LOT of money.

  2. Protesting is about letting McLeish and the board know we are not happy. At the moment it has been said there is a small minority that don't agree with McLeish. We need to let the media, the board and other football clubs know with a protest in the ground, that under no circumstances do we want McLeish as manager of our football club next season and he has zero support. If people are still thinking this is wrong, I care not, because as soon as we go a goal down at Bolton tomorrow night the fans I believe will go **** mental. UTV

I agree - I think if we go a goal down, we will be (including myself) absolutely LIVID and it will show.

  3. Took it upon myself to contact General K this afternoon asking him if he or Randy were goingt obother attending another game thisseason. This is the response.......I will not comment!

    Denis,

Randy has been over almost every week for the past year....not sure what you mean by bringing him to a match. "Since we both last bothered"...you are kidding me aren't you?? Like we aren't bothered? Millions upon millions of pounds and we aren't bothered? Do you somehow think that we aren't aware of what is going on? Any suggestions??? Let's see, a few games left...fire the manager? That would really be a wise move. Buy a player? Hmmmm, not sure any are for sale right now...do you know something I don't know? Get some miracle healing for all of our lads who are injured?? Again, do you know of a medical miracle store where we can go shopping?

I know you are frustrated. So are we!!! What can we do right now.....we can GET BEHIND THE LADS AND STAY BEHIND THEM UNTIL WE KNOW WE ARE SAFE!!!!

    Gen K

Seems like they are happy with the dross thats being served up at Villa Park, or are either obviously oblivious to it?

  4. I think its time to put all this crap about not coming to VP because of Mcleish, behind you for the last couple of games and get behind the team. They're going to need us, more than you think.

The fans have been behind the team all season and look where we are.

There is only so much that positive chanting can achieve.

Apart from the 1000's that don't turn up each week because of a manager. Don't get me wrong in no way am i defending him, i think he's a prick and wished he would get fired already, but its a case of the empty seats need to be filled to support the lads.

  5. The question is (apart from a Facebook group trying to get banners and leaflets produced for a protest at the home game to Spurs) what is anyone doing about it?

    The answer is '**** All'.

Aren't those renewing their season tickets giving a mandate to Lerner to basically say "carry on regardless because we will still be pumping money into your business"?

So if McLeish is still here next season then there are 1000's who will have to look at themselves and say "what did I do to help when my club needed it"?

In my opinion, it is a bit like voting Tory at the last general election and then spending the next 4-5 years moaning about the fact that the government has stitched you up.

    Totally unbelievable!

Good shout mate, that's exactly how I feel about it all.

    where is this fbook group?

  7. You'd be better off just not going to the games at all, you'll save yourself money, and it'll hit Lerner where it hurts, forcing him to take notice, as he doesnt seem too bothered at the moment. Why anyone would want to set foot in VP at the minute with AM in charge, i don't know, we're going no where, and the football is dire.

I'm a season ticket holder, so that would be pointless. Going to Villa park is something I look forward to every week. I don't enjoy the football we're playing, but I enjoy singing, chanting and getting behind the boys. So my way of protesting against our manager is by chanting, your way is by not coming. We have different ways of doing the same thing.

Whilst its good you still go down, i don't why you'd want to renew - we're going no where with AM in charge, we can't win games, football is dire, RL doesnt seem to be bothered, offers nice gestures of free travel every so often hoping it'll keep us quiet, but we never hear from him, half the players dont seem bothered, and its expensive.

Thankfully, my decision not to renew coincided with MON leaving, so i've missed all this rubbish.

Luckily I'm still young enough to live with my family - my dad who loves Villa and will support them till the end (the same as me) pays for my season ticket. It's something we do together, we don't get to spend much other time together as he is often working around the country and I board at school during the week. Going to Villa is our time we spend together and we both enjoy it even if the football is shite.

  9. Was there any protest yesterday or anti McLeish chants ?

There was one anti mcleish chant - it followed the chant:

    'Martin you're a tw*t, Martin Martin, you're a tw*t'

then it was (which i got involved in)

    'Alex you're a tw*t, Alex Alex, you're a tw*t'

Along with some booing at the end result.

EDIT - 900 pages about our pratt of a manager - hey Lerner you faggot, look at this.

  10. All this season is proving is what a monumental **** up it was to appoint McLeish and further proved how out of touch both Lerner and Faulkner are with football in general and the Premiership in particular.

Interestingly a business associate of mine had a meeting with a very senior person at the club this week. I can't be too specific about what for obvious reasons. For the record he is a big football fan, a Celtic supporter in fact. He made two comments: firstly they are under the cosh over costs generally and secondly there is a lot of nervousness as to how this season will pan out. Obvious really but the latter observation suggest to me that maybe just maybe they realise the stupidity of the managerial appointment.

    You can but hope.

    Basically our club is fooked?
