considering theres too much controversy about whether he is any good or not, it shows his inconsistancies are an issue, itll be easier just to give him the chop come summer, we need a new right back anyway, someone more consistant who can both defend and run the wing.
-
i dont trust bunn, we need a new face between the sticks full stop, no matter what league we are in (obviously championship) id like to see myhill come back and maybe be no1 seeing as hes second choice at albion.

if gary cant excel in the championship for the club next season then it will be clear he just cant cut it in the premiership for us (if) when we get back up, even with game time under his belt, hes already had enough chances.

my villa are in the middle of a take over (as you can imagine, randy is a **** ) but the club does £300m in the bank, at the top of the league and won a few cups with the league about to be won as well ;-) (oh how to dream)

Are we going to change our transfer strategy again? I hope so.
i really hope so too, because after over 10 years of buying players for far too much that aren't worth it and have no sell on value, and not giving youth a chance or investing in true talent, then allowing youth players go for near enough nothing, then of course paying players far too much money which the club can't sustain, it clearly hasn't worked. :-)

would the clubs priorities be the same come summer as they supposedly were in january, a striker and a goalkeeper? i personally dont rate bunn much, nor guzan tbh, so id like to see a new keeper in, and we definitely need a striker who knows where the goal is.
-
its a strange one that he left the worst 2 defenders, richards and lescott out, maybe he has already accepted their awfulness.
-
what is on my mind now is how im going to get my son to support this club, i mean, why would i want to?
the problem i face is that the other half supports small heath, ive gradually turned my step daughter to support villa and disposed of most small heath memorablia in the house, but she keeps asking me when im going to take her to a game, i make excuses.
but my son, my blood, my only child, it would hurt me more if he came out as a small heath fan, than being gay, he will be laughed at in school for being a villa supporter.
-
anybody know what the full line ups were for both 11s?
-
saying that though, theres a couple of players who were on the last edition but not this one
-
there isnt many first teamers who can give advice, i mean, would you want to take defending advice from lescott or scoring advice from gabby? its laughable.
-
theres to many people at the top of this club not making the right decisions but are also sitting on huge contracts, tom fox on £1m a year for what? a second chairman with no money to invest for what? head of recruitment for what? no wonder no players were signed in january.
-
straight into lerners pocket I would imagine
okore, gil, guzan and veretout we will struggle to keep hold of, as well as traore, kozak and gana
-
ill be very surprised if we sign anybody in the summer, a) i dont think anybody would even want to come to us, b ) the board clearly are not going to want to spend any money, c ) i think we will have to rely on youth players and deadwood that we cant offload

Can anyone tell me why, yet again, Lee Hendrie is still on the database?
i actually signed him for villa to play in the reserves

you really have to wonder if randy is any sort of businessman and not just living on the tails of his father, when you see mocking articles like this...

thanks randy for turning this club into a joke...

interesting replies,
thinking about it, i think alot of the foreign players will leave, even the ones wed like to think will stay, i read that both crespo and gil are unsettled so they're bound to leave, and other just think they're too good for us despite being the culprits that have got us relegated.
i really hope we can keep hold of amavi, veretout, bacuna (we need a RB), and traore.
hopefully is time for lads like gardner, donacien, mason, lyden, lyons-foster, kinsella, sellers and robinson to step up
-
nathan is just another one of the villa players that, although really do try, isnt very good in the premiership, luckily seeing as we will be in the championship next season he should do alright, were going to need him.
-
hes only gone for a month, not really long enough to get any serious game time in, but hey ho.
hopefully a new contract will be offered, although its been left a little late.
-
hes gone this summer, just hope there isnt a year extension clause in his contract, we dont want that muppet fox to enforce it in the hope of saving money on actually buying a decent midfielder.
-
i was hoping to post this in a similar manner on an already existing thread seeing as you guys usually get all topics of conversation covered, but i couldn't see one to suit, so here goes...
taking many factors into consideration, like this season is already over as villa are just the whipping boys for the other league teams training sessions, many of the over paid pre-madonnas are clearly going to jump ship, and for some, if they don't jump they will have to be pushed as the club wont be able to pay the sort of wages that these 'footballers' 'earn'.so who can we hope to see the back of? what youth can we hope to see get promoted to the first team? should we even expect any purchases?
hopefully we will see the back of nzogbia, lescott, richardson and richards, unfortunately we might see okore, crespo, gil, traore and sinclair leave, and i reckon ayew might want out as well.
players like clark, baker, westwood, bennett, gardner, veretout and gestede may play better.
id like to see donacien, kinsella, mason, lyden, robinson and sellers make the first team on a regular basis.
-
i might actually buy my first season ticket next season seeing as the price will be cheaper and the first team will most likely be full of youths and players wanting to get back into the premiership.
this window will be a clear out of all the over paid pre madonnas that dont care about this club (hopefully)

thought reginald ray was the assistant manager?

not callum robinson?
What team will we see next season?

if none of the current first team have the motivation to want to stay in the league then where will the club stand next season in the championship? even less motivation, proping up the championship?
take richards and lescott for example, arent they both meant to be villa supporters? with that in mind (i could be wrong) youd think they would forge a solid partnership and want to keep this club in the premier league, but theyre both awful.
