Imagine this with our lion and in claret and blue! 😍

FYI, Adidas already make a claret and blue tracksuit in conjunction with Wales Bonner. Anything like this would be great IMO.

I thought this and commented as such yesterday.

It's worth adding that he's not a football fan at all, so has no interest in the Villa. Simply suggests there could be a multitude of reasons why this design has been registered for a UK trademark, but that insolation wouldn't be sufficient to protect a brand's IP globally.

Something as significant as the new crest for a PL team wouldn't, in his opinion, be left to discover in such an open source manner.

  3. For me, a great start would be getting those fans that hail from the Birmingham area, but chose to be Man U, City, Liverpool or Chelsea. Having a team that captures their imagination from an early age will only stand us in good stead.

Whatever we think of the Saudi's, you won't see too many in Newcastle wearing another team's kit.

  4. With the Man U game so close to this one, I wouldn't be taking chances on the fitness of Pau or Tielemans if they're not 100%.

We could go to a back 4 of Cash, Konsa, Carlos, Moreno. Or, Lenglet could come in as a direct swap for Pau.

Part of me is tempted to say we bring McGinn off the bench if we need him, as he's both one yellow away from being banned against Man U, and he's played a lot of football.

    I'd potentially start with:

Luiz, Donk, Ramsey, Zaniolo, Diaby and Watkins ahead of a back 4, with McGinn, Youri, Pau, Bailey, Duran all ready to be brought on if things aren't going to plan.

Most of the " smoke " I've seen are from African Arsenal fan pages

Haven't really been online today mind, what have i missed?

Also saw another story saying he has no release clause etc.

Yeah... Unless I've missed something too, a lot of the smoke is from fans on Twitter and us lot debating whether he's going to leave.

Also, in order for him to leave, a crucial part would require an appealing club making a bid. FWIW, Ornstein says that not all the decision makers at Arsenal are convinced by Dougie, and he certainly doesn't anticipate a bid from them in January.

  6. Whilst refereeing in the PL is at an all time low, I must say I thought John Brooks was very good in our game yesterday.

Not only in his decision making, but also in his rapport with the players on both sides. Surprised to see some people vote him as poor and very poor.

  7. Unlike Targett who bailed as soon as Digne came in, Lucas has risen to the challenge of Moreno's arrival and has been a vital player this season.

Seems like a good character and looked genuinely happy for Moreno when he came off the pitch.

Comfortably winning MOTM poll. Lots of comments before HT awful, rusty, rubbish, get him off at HT, must be subbed.

I guess the goal erased those

    The Garth Crooks factor!

In all seriousness, it's great to have him back and I thought he got better as the game went on. Chuffed from him to get the winner too.

Well I don’t think he’s going anywhere BUT these two sentences show the challenge, as if he’s on £75k a week plenty of clubs would/should triple that amount and we are some way off being able to do that!

This is the biggest challenge we face with players like Dougie and Emi, irrespective of whether they're settled at the club and in the area. Not only can the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool, City and United pay much bigger wages, but the commercial endorsements come rolling in too. It's unlikely that Jack would've got his Gucci gig had he stayed at Villa. His Instagram following has gone up from under 3m followers to 9m too, bringing in even more money for him.

We really need to tether these guys to the club as soon as possible if we can, especially if we can qualify for CL football next year. If Heck can also increase the profile of the club and, by association, the players, it should make it easier to retain and bring in the players that Unai wants.

I believe Subside Sports sell it.

A client of mine is a lawyer. He's not working with the Villa in any capacity (nor is he a Villa fan), but does a lot with corporate media and sports organisations.

He seems to think our next kit supplier will be Puma. Heard anything to match this from your side of the fence?
