  1. I think we were unlucky to lose the away game. It was only when Jota came on we stopped playing.

It's time Smith gave us a big scalp.  they are not hot spurs away from home ....2 wins in 18 on paper it's a weaker spurs team than the one we played in august. no kane erickson etc.

going to a flipping Peppa Pig concert that day!!!

peper pig is possibly a Frankfurt School subversion product. it promotes an attitude towards daddy is silly or makes out daddy is incompetant at most things, primarily from peppa the daughter. this i believe eats at the foundations between father and daughter. it is banned in china, I wonder why? I urge you to come to the match on sunday.

  3. raiding relegated clubs gems should be first on our transfer agenda. Low hanging fruits such as Delafeo, Arrons, Cantwell and Dunk just as squad filler.

Also you have talent from leeds who will undoubtably fall away again. Phillips won't want another pre season of fell running thats for sure.

After that the marquee can begin!

What has he done to be labelled by some as the best player ever to play for the club? It’s hyperbole to the max and an insult to past greats in my opinion

Old timers come up to me and say gary shaw this gary shaw that. Shaw was in a team full of top draw players. he knew he'd get the ball perfectly into stride so he could "cause confusion"

Grealish is surrounded by bumfluff, every pass he has to adjust his whole body.

Mings is influential,  but not great great. you need him out there just like we needed Vlaar.

If we stay up and finished 17th, would you want to keep Smith or sack him and start next season with a new man in charge?

I don't think it matters who the manager is if we have quality players you will do better than if you have a load of deadarses. Obviously the odd game is decided if you can tweak a system. going 5 at the back after getting battered by watford was crucial. But if we had 1 better centre half than the combined Konsa and Hause we would still be playing 433.

If Paul Lambert had been able to sign the players he wanted where do you think we would be? Lukaku, Coutinhio etc.  in a better place than having dogs like Weiman, Holman and KArim el Ahmedy.

Villa fans want big rep players and believe a big rep manager like Benitez will attract them. Like Bruce was able to bring in Terry Snodgrass Bolasie got us El Gazi from Ajax etc. Smith hasn't made one big name signing. No ones heard of him. No ones heard of the players he signs.

surrounding him with 3-4 £30m players, as he really does deserve to play with far greater quality than he has in his career to date.

I would bring in John Stones, Declan Rice, Gerrard Delafeo, a top striker to cover Barry and Wilfrid Saha unless Bale wants a return to the prem. and go back for Butland. This quality would ensure bring us champions league qualification and keep a claret and blue shirt on Jacks back.

All these so called big clubs should start sniffing around wolves. They've got some good players who go under the radar week in week out. and when's nuno going to get a big job?

  7. Now it's clear why we were so "lethargic" against Bournmouth.

The players were off on their jollys, all booked up and on the proverbial  beach already...... and they've not been shy in letting the fans know on social media.....shocking!

This is where a disciplinarian like fabio cappello would come in handy. Nice guy smith is out of his depth handling these millionaires. he's used to former hod carriers and plumbers going to blackpool for a weekend on the lash. easier to say no to those mugs.

extra training and ice baths is what we want to see after going down without a whimper against a joke of a team who's badge looks like andy carrol when he's lost his hair band.

  8. I wouldn't trust jesus or smith to build another team. especilly without Grealish. Grealish  is the one who gets them both out of jail

The solution is for the team to bust their balls and stay up then add proven quality to the team, no more gambles, no more belgium or  brentford sheight. 35m plus players.

Look at wolves. Splashed that big money on Daniel Podence  and neto, both his the ground running, you don't hear nuno talking about adjustment getting up to speed with the premier. he just gets plug and play talent.

  9. Smithy could banish El Khazi to the bench and utilise Kenian Davis on the wing in the "Jostein Flo" role.

Mings could continually pump long diagonal balls to the head of Davis whilst Smatter feeds off the knock downs. Bingo!

  10. Reina has always had the odd blooper in him I remember a mersey side derby he fluffed. however you don't get many that many honours in world football if youre crap. he's Reina not Andy Dibble.

Punching stuff out is what he's always done. The defenders need to be on high alert to get to the 2nd ball.  Nyland likes to catch the ball like a 1980s keeper but for me the gloves are pepe's and that includes the final.

  11. I see another player went down with the mysterious "tight calf"  It's smells like bullshit Drinkwater was obviously given the day off. Which is an absolute joke considering there's no games for 2 weeks.  Even if 2 games in 4 games was too much for him he could of started the first half just to give us a foothold in the game.

away from home it's crucial drinkwater plays. It gives Nkamba a bit more support. Nkamba was ragged yesturday (amongst many others)

  12. In the press conferences after the games Smith was on the edge of a nervous breakdown when we lost against Watford. The latest defeats he's more nonchalant.

Purslow must have told him he's secure. I just hope purslow is as trustworthy as he looks.

Must say I don't see the Engels incident as a penalty.

    100% stone wall pen

If Englels goes up for a header and impedes the goaly and we score 100% it will be a free kick against.

Why should only goalkeepers get "offered protection" in the box?

What does a keeper need to do to get sent off? a Tony Schumacher?

  14. Smith doesn't know what to do against 10 men.  Bournmouth are awful just had 10% more desire and it was enough today.

we had one spell in the first half when we looked like we might take control of the game. but then bournmouth got the 2nd goal. They even gave us a gift of going to 10 men by putting that idiot on a man for man marking job on Grealish. It was only  a matter of time before he saw red.

dunno why he took konsa off and not house?

Gazi was invisible in the first half but had just started getting into the game when he was subbed. outrageous!

Dunno why drinkwater wasn't in the squad he's meant to be getting minutes to get fit. He is essential away from home. Then you can use Luiz off the bench.
