  1. Have to give credit to Smith for his performance in todays pre match conference.  Watch it now!

The journo digging away about Terry.... then telling SMith that grealish is just what Man utd need at the mo

Smith turned the tables magnificently by starting to  talk about wolves and Neves. It's so so true Wolves have been able to go quietly about their business improving season on season without any of the star names being even sniffed out by "so called big clubs"

It's time someone like Everton or Arsenal blew nuno out the water with an 8 figure salary and an unlimited supply of monatomic beard oil.

And how come neves can go under the radar for so long?  even Doherty  surely could double his salary somewhere else. Lets see how thwe wolfs  handle it when their manager and players get tapped up and become unsettled.

  2. Just now, JAMAICAN-VILLAN said:

I can't see Sheffield United being sapped of any will.

I predict they will flap it sooner or later.

Wilder seems like a Tony Pulis style character with a bit of peter reid thrown in. After the one game he said "We'll get a few beers inside us and look to the next game"

Lose Norwood and lets see how they cope. Jagelka isn't going to play every game at his age.

  3. It is crucial Villa make a 30m marquee signing of a striker.

If for no other reason than to sap the will of watford, southampton, norwich and sheffield utd (they will fall away when injuries and suspensions hit their miniscule squad or they get sick of wilder barking at them).

the disenchantment will hit them hard psychologically. Fans vlogs will be littered  with cliches such as "how can we compete when Villa are spunking that kind of skrilla?"

Like when ManCity started pumping their black gold and people like Lerner simply hoisted the white flag.

A show of intent is sometimes more important than the outcome of the intent.

Even better if we could take someones star player.

  4. The question is who is actually picking the England team?

Smith mentioned in his post match interveiw that Grealish is "putting more pressure on the people choosing those squads. "

DO we take this slip of the tounge by Smith has revealed the secret  inner workings of english football and the squad is picked by a commitee?

Southgate's volley of excuses for grealish's ommitance from the last squad were pathetic to say the least, like someone who was making it up on the spot.

  5. These so called super rich owners need to be left in no doubt about this situation we are in. A long term injury to Grealish and we could easily not win another game this season.

The work rate we have to put in just to get draws against brighton and manu is phenomanal.

Spunking a huge wad of cash on a darren bent style signing will:

    a) send shockwaves throughout the football world that Villa are serious about doing something

2)boost morale in the sqaud. Gilebert and Angels will no longer be the new boys and have to worry about jack and john's practical jokes.

q)competition for the shirt would benefit wesley.

We've been bummed hard by the loan system. seeing Abraham kissing that chelsea badge makes me sick to my jappa. If he'd gone to any other  club last season who didn't create any chances he would still be in the champ today. If he'd gone to Wolves back in jan my guess he would be out on loan in the championship right now.

Klop has being sayin Ryan Kent is this and pep has been saying foden is that yet they never play. I would not take another prem clubs youngster on loan ever again.

If Jordan Sancho was available for loan from where ever he plays in europe this could be a nice deal. but I think they actually give him game time so I dont expect he would return.

  6. If Villa ever sell Grealish it will prove these guys are no better than Lerner or Ellis happy to flog the best players to Keep the bean counters happy.

We've had local lads break through before Daley, Hendrie and Vassel all decent but no one who was good enough to be a big big star on the world stage.

We won't ever get sucess unless we can put some quality in and around grealish. Better wingers and a better striker. we are not a million miles away. Just £90million away.

  7. We dominated the first half. It seemed Man utd only tactic was to kick lumps out of Grealish. but 2nd half we got pinned back. McGinn and Luiz went missing the 2nd half. I thought we could of brought on Nkamba for Luiz as this guy seems to fade away after 60mins.

Also I was dissappointed in Trez  he's up against some spotty little teenager I wanted him to have a real go at him, like El Gazi did early on.

I'm happy with a point due to our history of rolling over for man utd.

I just hope Man utd keep ole till they come to Villa Park.......because they are so poor we will destroy them.

  8. daaaaamn! I forgot about mata. he's decent. however if he can't get intothe first 11 of that squad on a regular basis he obviously doesn't give that much of a toss and is busy spending the cream up.

It doesn't matter about history this is a good time to get manutd.

The performances against spuds arse and man city first half make me think we can get something.

I'd like to think we had learned a few lessons from the above games and the liverpool defeat. It's got to sink in sometime.

    Want that big scalp!

  9. What Villa need in the Jan transfer window is for Smith and Jesus to deliver what the messiah O'Neil did in 2007.

Getting rid of dead wood Milan Baros and bringing in the legend Big John Carew in a swap deal in the window must be up there alongside Platt, McGrath and McGinn as the greatest bit of business in the history of transfers.

If smith can put in a repeat performance by swapping Kodjia for some european journeyman who's never really found his home but constantly delivered then we will comfortably hit my target of top 10 finish.

There must be some experienced guy out there who can come in and make an impact. As long as his names not mario we will be alright.

  10. When I was queuing to enter the stadium on Monday night I was stood behind some little kid. To my horror they let this kid in without searching her!

Whilst they frisked me up and down quite vigorously.

Due to the recent events at star city shouldn't the kids be searched as well?  She could have concealed weapons or flares in that frozen backpack.

I was on edge all night knowing there were kids in the stadium.

So you wouldn't have Rashford then!

damn right I wouldn't yet another over hyped player who shows alarmingly similar attributes to  the likes of rufus smalls  darren huckerby and Ade Akinbiyi.

He's got acceleration but speedy strikers are as ubiquitous as day glow boots in the prem. He's just as likely to put the ball out of the stadium as to finish like he did for england the other week. (against the power house of world football....Kosavo)

I doubt he'd get near the national squad if he was playing for Burnley. and that disgraceful mullet hair cut just makes me want to jump at him with an andis t-liner.

When Manutd finally get someone in charge who knows what he's doing this guy will be playing for everton...if he's lucky.

  12. It's time Smith gave us a big scalp.

It's ok pumping the likes of norwich and toon but we really need a win over a big team to make the fans and players truly believe we are going somewhere.

Norwich Sheff utd and even newcastle united have theirs. Whens it going to happen for us? sick of waiting. we bottled it against spurs arsenal and liverpool. and to a certain extent man city.

The only players I'd take from man utd is anthony martial. poissibly harry mcguire however he's been looking shakey. I'm sure they'd take at least 5 of our boys.

This is the first time in years we can go there with a view to getting something. I think in the after match interview on tues Jack said something about not having beaten the top six yet.

That gives me a feeling the players are looking at this game to rip up that stat.
