Had he been rotated or rested you’d be having a dig at Smith for not playing one our best player even if he was injured.  You know that’s true...

If Smith had come clean about why he was being rested I would have said "fair enough!"

however smith has been dishonest with the fans many times including this season when Grealish's injured for the liverpool game

  2. some players are super important they should always play through injury like roberto baggio did for italy, ronaldo played drugged up in the world cup final....... and grealish should always play.

but I've always thought mcGinn is one year of development behind Jack. if we didn't go up last year John would have stayed another season as he's not quite on jacks level yet.

therefore he should be rotated when you have lansbury, luiz, houihane jota. nkamba plenty of cover for in there.

great players don't just go  crap it was obvious he was either injured or had been tapped up

  3. This seems to be a common theme from smith. first chester, grealish then mings now mcGinn.

grealish was playing through injury till he finally cracked against west brom

    Looked into this on Twitter.

Season Ticket Holders will receive 2 x £5 vouchers in the post after the Liverpool game if you purchased your ticket prior to the price change.

what a joke I wanted free munchies tonight!

  5. This is MUST win for Smith.

Due to a disgraceful set of recent results, I expect "Dunno Deano" to name a strong team including Grealish McGinn and Wesley.

I would like to see Villa echo stan collymores words and play like total c*nts by roughing up liverpools kids. Verbals, off the ball digs and studs up challenges early on win the game for "dirty dirty Villa"

I want to go to wembley again. and a two legged semi against oxford will be suitable revenge for what happened in 1986.

.. Maybe our reputation as a "big club" raises their game?  Maybe they see us as an easy scalp?

Yes we are a easy scalp.

You look at Villa and you see a nice team. straight out of the  tony mowbary text book "How to make friends in football (shower them with gifts)" and his best seller "going down in the right way, (playing pretty football)"

knock it around and be good sportsmanship and be talked about by pundits as "a great club" slow tempo shake all the oponents hands before the game do nothing to upset anyone.

we are too nice. not physical enough. no spoiling tactics. rugby tackles to break up play, no time wasting, not compliant in the dark arts of football,  look back at the goals we conceeded this season many could of been prevented with a well executed tactical foul. Wolves away when luiz got brushed aside is one instance.

It's time we took collymores words on board. "be c*nts or go down"

  7. if we can take benteke and andos townsend for 50m this might be the way out of the turbulent waters smith has steered us into.

Benteke hold up play and goals, townsend plays left right or centre can deliver and score too. both are upgrades on all our strikers and wingers. both proven prem players.

an alternative to benteke without the baggage would be olivier Giroud. however I seriously doubt he would come to birmingham as he'd turned down moves to places l;ike everton in the recent past.

However maybe JT could arrange a car share where they drive one designated day a week?

any business needs to be completed on Jan 1st not be allowed to drag on.

  8. Lets be honest. the pretty football is a myth. it was hit and hope yesturday. It has been for a while.

and so much for going to places and attacking. We were set up to contain and nick a point yesturday. No shots in the first half? He's turned cautious just like gregory did. The open expansive football well It's all PR spin. and most of the fans fall for it and refuse to question him cos "he supports Villa"

The subs are never genius tactical masterstrokes, it's always bottle job like for like winger for winger. shape never alters. If this winger can't beat his man I'll try another one. Yeah that'll work mate😀 the guy you left on the bench is so much better.

Compare this to rogers who picked a shape to destroy Villa one week then a different strategy for the next team. Brendan gets his ideas and gets players who can adapat weekily.

The only good thing that will come from this on a personal note is soon the people who have the away scheme locked down will soon decide to go to crazy golf on a saturday afternoon and I might be able to get a ticket to see Villa on the road.

Yes these so called "superfans"  who walked out after Grealish crashed his penalty against the bar. deserters.

9 aways last season not one this season. I'll never get to go to White heart lane at this rate. Ever!

  9. The brazillian experiment has failed. ;look at sheffiled one to eleven british passports.

Jesus's head must roll. We need action from the board...... tonight.

Wesley subbed for the first time by smith that tells you everything.

No more Mr nice guy from smith....he needs to throw Jesus under the bus by refusing to play the  garbage signings forced upon him. Or else he will be binned himself.

That "nice" little deal with pep to give luiz game time? f*ck him make him train with the under 9's. make sure he doesn't get that permit next year. He plays like he doesnt give a toss. Wesley the worse brazillian since dianne abbots clearing in the woods was waxed.

They want to be on cocacobanna beach doing keepy uppy with the drag queens not in a hail storm in sheffield

  10. Mings maybe a bit shakey in his defending however we missed his influence today.

House was solid ( I gave him motm) but you could tell the players didn't have the same beleif without mings.,

I've not seen Grealish so ineffective for a long time. Is he back on the bottle? strangly enough I watched george best interviewed by wogan this morning when I wokje up. it was on my reccommended vids.

Mings is an influential player even when he plays poor

  11. It's obvious Smith works hard during the week setting the team up correct. our first half results agains the likes of spurs and arse and liverpool should back this up?

it's in the 2nd half we constantly fall apart. When other teams change shape or personel or up tempo like today we never deal with it.

I see in the last home games smith terry cutler having a 10 min mothers meeting. every 2nd half.

it will cost them a fortune to get rid of him. Such a dumb move to give him an extension when he's proved nothing!

The new contract will have a clause in saying only 12 months compo if in the bottom 3 or 5 consecutive defeats.

He signed it so maybe he thinks the pressure is too great.

  13. First half we did alright but it was obvious sheffild utd would come out 100mph 2nd half after a rollocking and they did.

Pen miss was crucial. heads dropped noticibly after that. It's then smiths job to get his hands oiut of his pockets and become a cheerleader. didn't happen.

Our big chances came at -0-1 wesley and grealish hit and hopes.

surely its thanks for the memories deano?      If the boards arn't tapping up benitez or poch right now we are in turbulent waters!
