Surprised that Steve Clarke is assisting. He's been a manager a few times in his own right. He's been around the Championship a while so I think that's a positive.
Welcome RDM and good luck! If anyone needs it right now, it's you.

I wondered whose ten gallon hat that was backstage.
I thought that was Gabby's nosebag.

Deadlifts are the holy grail exercise for sorting out my lower back. Spent years avoiding them and trying every other therapy in the book but it was deadlifts that cured it.
Bodies and especially lower backs are stupid
The lower back problem can be the spinal erector muscles being too weak.
Deficit deadlifts are useful for targeting them.

I wouldn't be surprised if the TG producers end up punching the cast.
It was worse than the original TG that the BBC canned which was then revamped by Clarkson.
The chemistry of the original three was so hard to top that this was always a virtually impossible ask and so it proved.
The presenter line up made me think the show was produced by Harriet Harman. Talk about diversity box ticking.

That's what I was thinking, John.
He knows this division well (is it 4 promotions?). Done pretty well on restricted budgets. Definitely ambitious. Lives locally, IIRC. It appears he wants to be at a club who back him when he wants to make some 'bigger' signings. Will Hull offer this or does he feel that fighting relegation with them is the extent of their long-term viability?
If Dr T's pledges are true, it's certainly an interesting job to be had at Villa Park. The better budget over the short and medium term than he's used to at Hull might be tempting for him.
If you remove his connection with the Sty and overlook it in favour of just reading his record, he's a good candidate. If Dyche is now the kind of guy we're aiming for, surely Bruce should be in the mix if he doesn't get the assurances he wants at Hull.
RDM doesn't seem to be nailed on right now. Maybe Dr T's biding his time.

Tin hat on, but I would still prefer Pearson. I'd like someone who's had some experience at building a team, essentially, from the bottom. The job to do here is huge. Even assuming Dr T offers the money he's promised, players must be brought in to gel together and with the ones we want to keep. That's a tough ask.
But if it's RDM, then so be it. I could wish him more luck. I think he might need it.

where was this? London?
Yes. Number 11 Downing Street, judging by DK82's post.

But it was 'buffoonery', enough to get James Pearson and the other players sacked. Even none of our car crash of a squad have managed that.
True. Our players can insult our fans with impunity and coast along as if they're in the right. But - if James Pearson had been Jamie Vardy, I wonder if Leicester would have dished out the P45? Our players get away with things because the place is so threadbare they know we have hardly anywhere else to go. I suspect Mr Vardy would have received a talking to and reminded of his responsibilities.

My main concern at the moment is his plan to turn Aston into a "theme park". Do you think he has ever seen Aston? When this plan falls to pieces will he lose interest in the club?
When he makes a teacups ride out of European Cups, he'll win you over.

The Haye fight would've lasted longer if he was boxing the ref.
What an appalling night of 'boxing.' Knocking out a bunch of saplings is called entertainment. There was more excitement when the camera panned to Mourinho than from anything in the ring.

No surprise as he's just sold the club to him.
If he wants us to be the biggest club in China, then we need to be in the premier league. I'd also imagine a far east tour which is highly lucrative
When we're Premier League, I'd say regular trips to China are guaranteed.
I suspect our purchase is strongly linked to the Chinese President's pronouncements on improving China's participation in world football. Dr T wins Brownie points with the CCP.
It would be cool if, as we're the first club to be wholly-owned by someone Chinese, we were touted in China as as 'China's club' - China's representative in the biggest league in the world. Hopefully.

Has there been any mention of the debts we owe Lerner? the club's been sold for £65m-ish, how much do we still owe him?
Very likely that the price for the club included Lerner writing off the debt.
