Great post by PB.... I like many others am aghast that we have gone with Mcleish because of the style of football he seems to encourage his teams to play. However, as I work in football down here in the smoke, I would say to everyone DO NOT believe the figures that the papers are quoting on compensation and the like. Are we seriously to believe that a gentleman as ill as GH could not be dismissed under an ill health clause? And yet the papers would have you believe that he has been "bought" out of his contract. Let's see what the current season brings, and being honest, I don't think there will be much of a transfer kitty for Mcleish... hey ho, the joys of being a Villa fan !

Your are so right Becks1876. Sorry guys but can't agree that players should be booed.... they are MY team through thick and thin and I am proud to wear the shirt. God knows I hear enough people moaning down here in the Red portion of London, but I always believed MY team and our supporters were a class apart. Judging by the posts on here, I will definitely be in the minority... but I will always love MY Villa.

The most amazing atmosphere ever. The Arse fans can't get over how brill the Villa fans were. The whole day was like one big party - thanks to the guys who bought me a drink at half time, even at London prices !! Still haven't stopped smiling !! Even the Arse fans are rooting for Spurs as they hate Small Heath as much as we do.
