I would have taken 1 point before kick-off, I can't fault anyone at Villa Park today, they all played their part (OK some better than others) only mistake i could see is why our best header of a ball (Holt) was not brought on when Albrighton was on fire, the lad made some great crosses and i'm sure Holt would have bagged us a goal.

91 guests on the forum! all time high wondering if we know more than they do, and my guess is 50% are journalists fishing for info and the other 50% are scousers S****** their pants.

Best case is that what has happened has cleared the air and Villa show a bit of fight (but not red cards) on Saturday. It is our biggest game of the season and Lambert just cannot afford to lose this one. A battling draw is a minimum requirement, with a win at Swansea. I know, I am dreaming for that to happen. 2-0 Saints and cue mass mutiny in the stands, if people can be bothered anymore to protest.
agree with the 2-0 to Saints score line maybe grab a draw at swansea and then get thrashed by the Tigers but i'm 100% sure we can get 6 points from the last two games; who the hell are city and spuds anyway.

Westwood to me is one of many Villa players who can only pass the ball in the direction he's facing, backwards most the time in the first half. God knows why Lambert rates him so highly, there again i could be wrong as i never rated Delph but that has been proven wrong this season. Westwood needs to grow a pair and start turning and running at the opponents insted of pussyfooting it back to Baker/Vlaar to pump it back to Guzan.

Should be a ratings for the linesmen 10/10 for me, icing on the cake was the SHA result.

anyone watching Norwich V Spurs? Were F***** especialy playing at home.

So much for the warm weather trainning in Portugal, we stand more chance of winning the Masters.

"Did i watch the same game as you lot!"
So we lost a close game again, we learn and we fight on.UTV

We never get to hear the direct take on Aston Villa from Randy Lerners point of view, we never get to hear what HIS plans are for the club....
Sell up hopefully.
That could be a smart move, i hear the owners of Racing santander are looking for a new club.
Oh yes of course, the next owners will be the worst ever. This is a lame excuse and if this is the only defence of Lerner, it shows exactly what a failure the man has been for us.

More like custodial sentence.
Better the devil you know, than the devil you don't, springs to mind.
If I lived my life by that rule I'd still be in a job I don't like, living a miserable existence with my ex-mrs.
I also wouldn't have a new car, an Xbox One, or have discovered I like sushi.
Enjoy your Farley's rusks and tit milk though. Better the devil you know and all that
Thanks, i was stuck on what to have for a midnight snack! managed to the get the farley's but stuck finding the titty milk, maybe you could tell me?
I'm pleased you found the job you love and that your life is on the up now the Ex has left you, as for the new car! Tonka cars are a great investment but "don't count on it as a long term ivestment, i hear the Chinese have got that coverd with forged goods".
Xbox One, you must be rolling in it ££££ , i would give my old underpants just be see one let alone own one, you must have a great solicitor to negotiate that with the Ex.
PS> Sushi if cat food glorified, rather have a rare fillet steak .

Up The Villa.
Everton tomorrow. Fancy us to break their streak with their injuries and away form.

Mind you, our lot look like an advert for slimming world
Is that big guy the chap you always ALWAYS hear starting songs at away games with his massive booming voice? He's quality! can't remember exactly what he looks like, though. Rather than just being, yeah, big.
You would be hopeless in a line up parade. And if you're talking about the guy holding the beer in his left hand ,No he's not.

I would have taken a point away before kick off but we got robbed again ( just like we did against chelsea).
Voted MOTM to Bertrand best LB performance i've seen in years and useful in attack, Lambert got it right and played aggressive attacking football right from the off, Gabby missed a great chance to put us ahead after 53 seconds and Andi could have had two in the first half, missed chances like this cost us the game as we could and should have been 3 up at half time:
Second half it was expected that we would sit a lot deeper in defence but we didn't (most of the time) and althought they had the greater possession we still had a good chance of getting a win.
Ref got very little right for me, not a penalty, no advantage played (at least in our favour) and we pick up four yellows to there none.
Lambert got most off it right today only mistake was leaving Albrighton out, he could have put in a few crosses for Holt and Benteke to get there heads on and the much needed pace we lacked in the second half.
Overall team performance. 8
Manager. 8

Just seen the interview on OS and for a young lad he has a touch of the greys showing; Bet he looks like santa by the time he leaves.

Can't recall us losing a game wearing the new away strip, but i'm sure someone here will prove me wrong.
