  1. I likely won't be going to all All In 2024. I didn't go to this years All In. I was going to, but I remembered that I prefer the TV presentation over the atmosphere of being there live. Back in the day I went to WWF Insurrextion 2000 and 2001 at Earls Court in London which was fun, but each time I felt like I was missing something and the atmosphere wasn't making up for it. So, during Insurrextion 2001 I realised I'd probably be having more fun sat at home watching it on Sky Box Office with a large pepperoni pizza. Not sure I'll ever go to another wrestling event live even though All In did look fun.

Didnt this issue happen because Perry wanted to use real glass and Punk told him off for being stupid

Punk seems the sensible one here

The story is that Jack Perry had vacation time booked, so he planned to do a angle backstage involving a car to write himself off TV for a week. CM Punk told him no and stated that a broken glass spot would be too dangerous. This would have been fine if it just ended there, but CM Punk being CM Punk also insinuated that Jack Perry was trying to get serious cuts as a means to not come to work. It's the last part that seems to have rubbed Jack Perry the wrong way.

That said, Jack Perry saying something during his match at All In shouldn't have lead to a physical altercation. Jack Perry was just doing CM Punks schtick. CM Punk has made a name for himself by outing insider topics publicly while belittling those around him, so it's pretty pathetic that when the shoe is on the other foot he can't take it. Any rational person would have taken what Jack said at All In as a joke even if Jack Perry was being serious, but instead CM Punk got Jack Perry in a headlock and threw some punches like any sane person would.

  3. I think overall the AEW locker room is fine as all of the toxicity is emanating from one singular person. I mean, until yesterday no one had an issue with Jack Perry, let alone enough of a problem with him to throw hands and choke him out backstage. There is one common thread with all of the AEW drama and it's CM Punk, which is an issue because CM Punk is Tony Khan's favourite wrestler, and the one wrestler he wanted to sign for AEW above all else and CM Punk is taking advantage of that fact. My concern is if fighting with EVPs after All Out (2022) wasn't enough to get him fired then I don't know what is. Tony Khan definitely needs to step up and do something though because the way he handled the fall out from All Out by giving CM Punk his own show on Saturdays just reinforced the bad behaviour. Tony Khan was doing it to keep CM Punk and The Elite separate, but CM Punk saw it as a promotion and it added to his already massive ego.

  4. Overall All In was a great success with great matches from start to finish. Some matches could have been better, and I think Tony Khan is a sick **** that is bullying the women's division at this point by putting them on after Stadium Stampede, but All In was great and I look forward to All In London 2024.

What a experience that was. A really awesome show. Another thing off the bucket list!

    Man that ending though sucked

I don't agree that it sucked. I thought it was a match full of great storytelling that culminated in a great feel good finish after almost 30 minutes of "will he, won't he" back and forth between the two. I thought Adam Cole would turn on MJF, but I didn't consider the friendship ending which is actually a way more unique ending. Adam Cole & MJF started the night with raised hands in the middle of the ring, and they ended the night with raised hands in the middle of the ring which is great. I am looking forward to seeing where the story heads going into All Out and Full Gear.

Can't find an easily linkable thing...but there's a kind of canopy above the ring which looks to be maybe 10-20m above it...screens and that on all four sides, if you're mid or upper tier you probably won't see the ring?

It's seems to be the same canopy that Wembley provide for the boxing at Wembley Stadium. Photo from Fury vs Whyte

Sounds like we made this trickier than it had to be

It wasn't that tricky in the end. Burnley had 5-10 minutes at the start of the second half where they threw everything they had at us and almost succeeded, but after that it was back to Villa being pretty comfortable. I never once thought we would lose and I mean that as we have too many goals in this team.

Real shame if the original person has sold it or something.

It's likely still the original person.

The main thing that has changed is that anyone with Twitter Blue that gets 5 million impressions (or more) per month get paid for tweeting. It is now in that persons benefit to spam anything and everything to generate impressions.

Hopefully nothing too serious on the injury...  We can't keep losing 1-2 players to injury every match...

It looked like it was a knock more than anything. He'll probably be rested for the Hibs game and will be ready for selection for our next league game.

The bloke is seriously talented. I have to ask why it is only us in for him though.

His injury history is abysmal for a guy as young as he is. Many clubs aren't willing to risk it, but Aston Villa need to take risks to get players of his quality as we're not a Top 4 mainstay yet that can sign anyone in the world budget permitting.

    Hmm strange.

They should have done a FTR bucks vs hardys ladder match in my opinion

I think it would have been great to see The Hardy Boys on the All In card, but I think Jeff Hardy's criminal record is standing in the way of that.

Jeff seemingly gets arrested once a year for driving under the influence and his last arrest/conviction was 6-months ago. He was sentenced to 38-days in prison, 2-years probation, and his licence was revoked for 10-years. He avoided doing that prison time because they credited the time waiting to be sentenced as his prison time, but he might struggle to get into the UK given we're very strict about letting people with criminal records into the country. This is an issue WWE and Impact Wrestling also had to deal with, and it's a shame because Matt and Jeff aren't going to get many more chances in their careers to walk out in front of 80k+ fans in a stadium.

FTR vs The Young Bucks vs The Hardy Boys in a ladder match for the AEW Tag Team Championships would have been great, I'd have loved that, but Jeff Hardy is a recovering addict that doesn't make the best decisions at times and it now affects things International travel.

  12. It's looking like FTR vs The Young Bucks might not be happening at All In.

Cash Wheeler was arrested this morning for aggravated assault with a firearm. So, unless the charges are dropped he likely won't be allowed to leave the US as he'll be on felony pre-trial ahead of an actual court date.

Very curious to see what happens next.

    Update:

The warrant for his arrest was placed on the 28th July and Cash Wheeler plead not-guilty to the charge on the 3rd August. So, whatever incident lead to the arrest this morning was for a crime that was potentially committed over 3 weeks ago.

    Update 2:

Cash Wheeler at his bail hearing earlier today was not asked to surrender his passport and currently there are no restrictions on him travelling Internationally. Seems like the match might be going ahead after all?

Also that texas chainsaw massacre part on Dynamite this week was like watching wcw in 1990s.

    What a terrible segment

I think the only saving grace of that match is the whole segment was bought by the publisher of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre game and the deal was worth over $100,000. So, because all the money from last nights Dynamite was going to the Maui Food Bank, it wound up being a good thing even though the match was downright terrible.

Doesnt it seem odd that thwy doing two ppvs so close together? I mean is MJF going to have another title defence at all all out? Also why ahve two similar ppv names so close to each other? It seems rather poor and confusing. They should havw had all out as a fall out ppv 4 week after all in.

Seems abit strange how they doing it. I think all in will do better than all out based on the building up

It is odd that they're doing All In and All Out so close together, and I'm very curious to see how it works out for them.

As for All Out itself? I think it'll depend on what matches people prefer.

I think Adam Cole turns on MJF, wins the title and they have a rematch with a stipulation at All Out. I think a lot of the multi-man matches at All In will lead to singles matches at All Out. I can see Moxley vs OC for the International Championship at All Out for instance.

I think the biggest issue AEW have with All In and All Out being so close together is the cost of it all. In the UK it's fine as All In is £13 on Fite and All Out is £16 on Fite, but in the US? All In is $50 and All Out is also $50. I know AEW has some very dedicated fans, but $100 in a week levels of dedicated? I wish Tony Khan the best of luck as the buy rate for All Out might be terrible even if the card winds up being great.

    A couple dud matches tbh.

Like the sting match, four way women and best friends

Card was looking strong and its got weaker as each weeks gone on.

No keith lee, hardys, acclaimed, HOB, hobbs, starks, sammy, kris statlander jungle boy, hook, christian

Unless they planning some kind of BR

Some of the talent is being left off All In because of All Out happening a week later.

For instance, Luchasaurus (c) w/ Christian vs. Darby Allin in a Singles match for the AEW TNT Championship is happening at All Out, so Christian will potentially be saved for All Out.

Powerhouse Hobbs vs. Miro in a Singles match is also likely happening at All Out.

    That said and I will spoiler this because it happened last night;

    Spoiler

The House of Black attacked The Acclaimed last night on Dynamite and stole Daddy Ass' boots.

I think we'll get The House of Black vs. The Acclaimed & Daddy Ass for the AEW Trios Championship at All In so Daddy Ass can either officially retire in front of 80k+ fans, or so that Daddy Ass can win one last title in front of 80k+ fans.

Outside of that though, I think some wrestlers will just miss out and I'm not sure AEW has any plans to do a battle royale just to get the rest of the roster onto the card.

  16. The current card as we head into All In. I'm going to spoiler it as some of the matches were added last night, so for the sake of those wanting to find out the current card via watching Dynamite, I won't ruin it for them;

    Spoiler

    All In: Zero Hour

    • Aussie Open (c) vs. MJF & Adam Cole in a Tag Team match for the ROH World Tag Team Championship.

    All In

    • FTR (c) vs. The Young Bucks III in a Tag Team match for the AEW World Tag Team Championship.
    • Hikaru Shida (c) vs. Toni Storm vs. Saraya vs. Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. in a Four-way match for the AEW Women's World Championship.
    • Darby Allin & Sting vs. Mogul Embassy in a Tag Team Coffin match.
    • The Golden Elite vs. Bullet Club Gold & Konosuke Takeshita in a Six-man Tag Team match.
    • Eddie Kingston, Orange Cassidy, Best Friends, & Lucha Brothers vs. Blackpool Combat Club & 3 mystery partners in a Stadium Stampede match.
    • Will Ospreay vs. Chris Jericho in a Singles match.
    • MJF (c) vs. Adam Cole in a Singles match for the AEW World Championship.

Yet to be confirmed, but likely to also be on the card is CM Punk vs Samoa Joe for the "Real" Worlds Championship, but CM Punk has yet to agree to the match publicly on Collision, so we're just waiting on that storyline to advance at this point.

    Sorry, what?

He wrestled at Wrestlemania III.. Summerslam '91 etc.  How the **** is he still wrestling!? He must be atleast 80 by now?

He wasn't wrestling. He was the special guest referee for CM Punk vs Ricky Starks on AEW Collision last week.

In 2004, Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat was a part-time referee for Ring of Honor, and CM Punk was at odds with him because Ricky had an issue with CM Punks arrogance. They eventually overcame this issue and Ricky became CM Punks mentor. Fast forward 19-years and CM Punk knew the perfect person to call to be the special guest referee for his match, as he knew Ricky Steamboat would call it straight and put up with no bullshit.

So, Ricky Steamboat appearing is not as random as it sounds, but he wasn't wrestling. He did get a pretty nice beat down by Ricky Starks after the match though.

  18. I think one of the AEW's bigger issues is not talking about injuries. For instance, Kyle O'Reilly is injured and required fusion neck surgery. Bandido broke his wrist two months ago. Bryan Danielson broke his arm at Forbidden Door. Danhausen tore his right pec at AEW Revolution earlier this year. Mark Briscoe is out with a serious knee injury. Marq Quen has a serious undisclosed injury. Thunder Rosa back injury, and only restarted in-ring training on July 28th. That's just the injuries I know about and there are likely more which isn't ideal if a fan watching at home is hoping to see Bandido, but Bandido is at home healing up.

I also think AEW are struggling to navigate having three TV shows. They have Dynamite, Rampage, and Collision. Some of the wrestlers that fans are missing have been on TV, but maybe not the show they watch. Keith Lee has been on Rampage the last few weeks. The Hardys have been on Rampage. Kip Sabian is on Rampage. The Butcher and the Blade have been on Rampage recently. AEW are still a young company and I think they're still navigating how to rotate wrestlers between the three weekly shows that they have. Of course, there are some wrestlers that will always be on Dynamite or Collision because they are mid-card/main-event level talents, but some of the lower-card talents are getting lost in the shuffle by being on Rampage and only Rampage.

  19. For those with a modern Xbox console (Xbox One, One X, Series S, Series X) then you can buy Red Dead Redemption on the Xbox store right now and play it at up to 4K 30FPS (1080p on XOne, 1440p on Series S). You also get to play multiplayer which is cut from the soon to be re-released version on PS4 and Switch. Better yet, it costs £24 and goes up to £30 if you add the Undead Nightmare DLC. So, not only is it £20 less than what Rockstar are charging on PS4 and Switch, it also has more content because the Xbox version still has access to multiplayer and those servers are still live. Plus, unless the re-release on PS4 and Switch comes with all the ancillary DLC packs for golden guns, warhorse, hunting and trading etc. Then the Xbox version also has that advantage as every DLC pack from back in the day is still available and can be purchased separately.

I don't understand this re-release. I understand why they aren't re-releasing on Xbox because Red Dead Redemption has been on modern Xbox consoles for 7-years now, but they are charging way too much on PS4 and Switch for a bare minimum port that isn't even being done by Rockstar, it's being done by Double Eleven Studios which may mean it lacks quality in other areas as well. Rockstar continue to deliver the bare minimum when it comes to keeping their older titles relevant as they only seem to care about GTA V and the upcoming GTA VI.

  20. Wrexham have been my second team since I was 8-years old or so. They had a good run in the FA Cup in the 96/97 season so they were on Match of the Day a lot. I don't know what it is about them, but I found myself following their FA Cup journey that season and since then I've always kept tabs on them.
