  1. Randy can't possibly go for McLeish, he just wouldn't do that to us. That would fill me with an blinding rage.

If he does appoint him I'm done with Villa. I don't mind being a mid table club that doesn't win anything. But I want it to be a club I am happy to support. Randy Lerner has slowly made me dislike my club.

I pretty much **** hate Randy Lerner.

A tiny bit of me wants McLeish to get the job now, just so that idiots like you **** off and follow another club. No doubt you were one of the crew wanting Doug Ellis out too.

Armchair watching clowns like you should keep your views to yourself.

  2. what makes me laugh is that all this media bullshit is going about and in fact they know **** all, sky breaking news, sky sources blah blah blah these past 7 days could be total bollocks and this time tomorrow we will be watching a repeat of the press conference unveilling ancelotti as villas new manager :-)

one site says martinez said no, sky sports banging on all night about martinez been in talks, videos last night about benitez when none of them were actually pictures from recent

one of them it was **** snowing !!

    they aint got a clue...

Yep, they ain't got a clue .....aren't you the person who said 100% Benitez nailed on?

not me buddy, i dont want him 100 feet near our club.

like i said earlier, all this media shite is probably bollocks and guess work. this time last week we were reading that it was certain that ancelotti will be villa manager by next friday i.e tomorrow.. im waitin until tomorrow :-)

    funny ....

Well I have heard it's a done deal. It's a **** joke I HAVE LOST ALL RESPECT FOR LERNER

he has not got a clue!!!

Rafa is shit. He finished 7th with **** Liverpool and got sacked. That says it all !!!

I can hear the holte end now

YOUR JUST A FAT SPANISH WAITER

yea very funny where did i say its 100% nailed on??

i said i HEARD its a done deal.... i heard it on talkshite so it was obvioudly bollox

fair play to go hunting for my post though ,lol

PMSL! an even worse attempt at a recovery....We ALL know what you meant dude, LOL

  3. Randy is cool as fook, why you ask

    well....

    1. Nobody has a clue why Randy is heading Corsica

    2. He got his own private jet

    3. He contacts Wigan via a letter, he play its cool - none of this email or phone biz

    4. Fans are going insane coz they aint a clue what Randys next move will be

    5. Put his money where his mouth is when he bankrolled the Bent signing

I actually think Randy is a class act, jog on haters!

    THIS!

  4. Martinez is a good up and coming Manager who could get better and better, given backing and time. Again, he wouldn't be my first choice but I wouldn't be unhappy with him. He has bought well over the years and isn't worried about bringing in players from abroad. Bigger club, learning curve etc but more than capable.

    bang on the money...

  5. MM on H&V says that he thinks Bent is about to "have a meltdown"......not sure over what or why, but I don't like the sound of that at all...

I just pissed myself - you are kidding right? :)

hahahahahahahahaha! Are you for real dude? :?

I think you need to sit down, relax, and then slowly re-read the article again, four or five times dude. If you still think Bent's in meltdown, I'd ask your Mum or Dad, or someone else in a position of trust to read it to you again n hopefully the penny will drop. If it doesn't then there really is no hope for you.

  6. Another day, another load of rumours, and another load of commotion on here I see.

Whilst, in the meantime away from the media glare, Randy Learner and Carlo Ancelotti are thrashing out a deal and plan to fire Aston Villa Football Club back to where they belong....

I've said it every night for the past four nights, and now I'm even more convinced by every passing day, Carlo Ancelotti will be the new manager of this football club. One hundred per cent convinced of it.

I agree. I have faith in Randy, and for that I only need to look at this beauty

    darren-bent-aston-villa.jpg

Exactly right, no-one saw Bent coming...Keep the faith guys.

  7. OK previous topic locked, lets start again, with a new poll (as some of the candidates are now employed elsewhere).

Also can we stop with the baiting of a certain Liverpool fan please and can that certain Liverpool fan stop reciprocating in kind, thank-you

    Bicks

Why's there a 'certain' Liverpool fan on here anyway? Hasn't he got anything better to do, like frizzing his perm or ironing his shellsuit?..Either way he should F**k right Off!!!

  8. Thanks for proving my point.

Search the forum and you'll find I've debunked the Pako Ayesteran myth at least twice already. I'll do it again just for you:

Pako was the fitness guy. A bloody good one. And popular. But a bit of basic research will tell you that he left in the summer of 2007 and Liverpool's best form under Rafa came in 2009. That was when we finished second, twatted you lot 5-0, twatted Real Madrid 5-0 on aggregate and twatted the Mancs 4-1 at Old Trafford.

    Where was Pako then?

And what did you win in 2009 besides a few one off games again ? :winkold:

    This is like pulling teeth.

What do you think Pako was? Some kind of cup competition mascot?

We finished the 08/09 season with 86 points. 2 league defeats. That would have won us the title this season.

Pako was just the fitness coach. Does that compute yet?

    Who cares....

  9. Hughes has gotta come here. Is there any reason he wud leave fulham otherwise!

How about to take up the vacant managers job at Everton, when Moyes leaves and moves to Villa.

Hughes left Fulham what a week ago? It will take Villa at least another week to announce Moyes as Houlliers replacement, and then Everton could delay announcing their new manager for a couple of weeks until Hughes' 'month long' sit-out was over, thus enabling him to take up the post at Everton...Hmm, there could be something in that...

  10. Thing thing about CA is he comes across very laid back maybe to laid back for the task at hand. You can imagine an excitable Houllier in an interview with his enthusiasm and vision. Remember development of the youth system is part of the criteria does he have experience of that? Houllier definitely did/has.

Rafa Benitez would still be a coup for us. His last job was managing the current European Champions! He won the Champions League at Liverpool and won the league with Valencia.

However there's a few things I can't get my head around. He wanted Barry instead of Alonso. Why? :!: He also paid 20 million for Aquilani :!: Liverpool are facing a massive loss on him. I also read today Jovanovic is on 120k a week !! :!:

Don't forget buying Robbie Keane for a bloody fortune, not playing him and then selling him back to Spurs for a huge loss.

Single handedly fu*king up their youth system by completely ignoring any of the young players and spending a fortune on average players from abroad.

And to really top it off he spilt the dish of garlic king prawns that he was serving me, right into my lap on a night out at the local tapas bar last week. The fat twa*!!!

Anyway, after the shady way Benitez went about his business throughout the 'never to be' Barry transfer, I have no time for the man and certainly don't trust him. He'd sell Villa down the river quicker than he did his beloved Liverpool.

NOT at our club please Randy, nor that clown mclaren with his ridiculous dutch accent, his family must be so embarrassed or do they all speak like him now???.

  11. We won't see trophies for a while. The board currently have no ambition.

    dont be ridiculous.

They thought it was perfectly fine that GH fielded a weak team in the Eastlands when the next round was Reading at home. They showed no signs of anger when it happened and I don't even think the club apologised despite the fact the FA cup is important to us, especially considering our neighbours won the Carling Cup just days before it. No excuses to do it when we only had two PL games in the months that were two weeks apart and we lost both games anyway. It made no logical sense whatsoever. It was bloody embrassing that we looked so weak and didn't even care infront of all the ITV spectators. The fact the manager said he would do it again and the club would still continue to back him if he didn't fall ill speaks volumes.

It's bloody obvious that all the club is concerned about is staying in the top league while trimming the wage bill and spending less on transfers. They've shown no signs whatsoever of wanting another trophy in the cabinet this season and I doubt they will for a fair while.

Please tell me what you're on dude, coz I want to make sure I stay well away from it...

The Board lack ambition? £24m spent on Darren Bent (doubling our previous record), £30m spent in the January transfer window, is that lack of ambition? Does money grow on trees in your world or something?

Oh and get over the loss to Cithe in the cup, we'd never have beaten Utd in the semi's anyway, and I don't know about you but I'm sick of going to Wembley and losing, its a crap day out.

We could've played Bolton or Stoke...

Look how it panned out dude, city played united, stoke played bolton

  13. Yeah but then Newcastle would have been 2 points ahead of us instead of level on points too so I think it worked out better really ;)

Ireland's wife is quite attractive isn't she? He better watch out if he plans on staying up there with Pardew...

Why, does he have a reputation for sha**ing players wives then?

  14. General, I am a season ticket holder and a member of the Northants Lions Club. I was wondering if you would consider having designated areas in each stand where Lions clubs could proudly hang their flags for home games? I sit in the Doug Ellis lower stand and there is no-where obvious that we can display our flag, any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

  15. I've got my fingers firmly crossed that we've finally got ourselves a 20 goals a season striker...I don't think Darren Bent is the finished article by any means, but he's a natural born goalscorer and that's what we're in desperate need of. Thumbs up from me.

  16. I'd rather Ireland stayed than Houllier.

    Ireland is a good player.

Houller is not a good manager.

What a ridiculous comment, to say you'd rather have Ireland stay than the manager is crazy

    Totally agree...

  17. So dissapointing to lose the way we did i mean if we can't defend its making Bent pointless, He's paid to score goals and he's doing a brilliant job but if we can't defend it making them worthless.

Not worthless im still frustrated but you get where im going, i do think we'll get a win against Newcastle though!

    Come On Villa!!

Lose? What game were you watching today? two goals for each team is a draw in my book...
