  1. The 15 inch one has pretty crappy resolution on the screen, for 15 inch and up it should do Full HD 1920*1080 at the minimum for that price.

I would also not buy a laptop without a SSD drive. To much performance to give up.

I kinda like this one It comes with a normal HHD but it has a slot where you can add a SSD drive. It doesent say if it's a normal 2.5 inch SATA or mSATA but it doesn't matter. Just check before you buy a new drive for it. Or if don't care it looks fast as it is.

    thanks for the advice.

i did like the look of the HP, obviously having had one before it was a brand i can trust but i was slightly put off by the 5400rpm. will have a another look into it

Also any thoughts on the MSI laptop i posted as atm that's my preferred choice.

  2. hey guys.

Im currently in the process of searching for a new laptop after my HP dv7-3110ea has finally given up!

I'm looking for a decent replacement that can handle the basic word processing and web browsing but also deliver excellent multimedia experience - mostly films and gaming.

I've got a budget of around £750-800 at a push.

Unfortunately i've fallen behind on what specs are best these days so was hoping for some help.

I've identified two laptops which look quite promising:

    Asus N550LF-CK108H:  http://www.amazon.co.uk/N550LF-CK108H-15-6-inch-i7-4500U-Processor-Blu-Ray/dp/B00GKG1OSU/ref=sr_1_1?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1400075102&sr=1-1&keywords=laptop

    MSI GP70 2PE-026UK: http://www.amazon.co.uk/MSI-GP70-2PE-026UK-17-3-inch-Bluetooth/dp/B00J2PLCJ2/ref=sr_1_2?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1400075102&sr=1-2&keywords=laptop

I'd really help any advice you guys can offer, on what i should be looking for, if these two laptops are any good, or any other suggestions you may have!

    Thanks in advance.

Seriously why is this being asked? All they can do is go by what the players are saying. They don't know they can only assume based on what the player is telling them what the injury is as they need a scan to diagnose the injury. If the player thinks he's just stretched a little to far and wants to run it off the Physio is none the wiser. Benteke was definitely wanting to continue and he must of been saying he thinks he can run it off.

So a physio isn't a physio without a scanner ? - Most physio's don't have an MRI Scanner (Neither does AVFC) - do you know how much those cost ? - a diagnosis is established by the physio doing a number of tests - for example for hip he would check the range of motion - and the pain the patient was experiencing, and checking the area for swelling.

I feel this is going from one extreme to the other. He has around a minute to try and find out what an injury is based on what the player tells him and what he can feel. There's very little he can actually establish or do in this situation when all he has available are a few exercises and some magic spray.

So why do we have them at all them ? - why does your ordinary NHS physio take around 3 years to train ?

Anybody could run on, spray a bit of ralgex deep heat, and say 'are you alright to continue ?'

I think you've missed my point. yes people with a lot less training could run on with the spray etc. but after the game, that's when they work out what the real injuries are and there multiple years of training show their worth.

Plus i reckon if you asked the players who they prefer to see running on to help them; some random waterboy or a trained physio who they know and trust.

  5. Yeah, there are poor performance issues at the moment. They'll be ironed out over the next few days/weeks and I imagine AMD and Nvidia will release drivers for it. My battles run absolutely fine but the campaign map is pretty jerky. It helps a bit to turn off 'Show CPU moves' in the game settings to speed up AI turns.

thanks for that, will try what you suggested!

  6. Met him once on a night out in Brum. He was off his face but managed to put a sentence or two together and seemed nice enough, loved the fact i remembered that pass to Albrighton against Fulham!

Wish him all the best with palace!

  7. £1.75 Million. That sort of money can buy you a Westwood, a Sylla or a Luna.  I feel a bit embarrassed taking that much money off anyone for him.

I would too except it's from holloway!

Point 5 - In the games we have played this season, maybe with the exception of Liverpool, chances have been created. More than enough actually. So if we have a problem in five or six games over the course of the campaign then that's life. Manchester United didn't break Liverpool down at the weekend as well so many they are just really good at the back now.

Let's take the Arsenal game. We had two penalties both born from pace rather than guile. Scored one goal on a break that started from their corner and Delph hit the post from outside the box

Chelsea, from drunken memory we carved out a couple of chances

Liverpool i recall Benteke creating one for himself, then a flick on for his second chance, other than that not a lot

Hardly what i'd call creating 'more than enough chances' to be honest

Yes but these are against three of the best teams in the league, with 2 of them (Chelsea and Liverpool) having excellent defences. In games like these you only get a few chances because the opposition are so good, not because we are lacking. let's wait and see what we can do against some 'easier' teams before we criticise our creative ability.

  9. Impressed with what i saw, will hipefully take that into the next game.

bacuna looked good as did the rest of the defence.

For me though the two stars were Westwood and delph who once again ran the show. If i had to pick a Motm it would be Delph because he took his goal very well. in comparison Westwood missed a much easier chance ( i know there's a lot more to his game than scoring obviously but he really needs to start taking easy chances like that if he's going to properly push on into the player we all think he is capable of becoming!)

  10. It's interesting that in all the interviews for avtv and stuff the one player the staff and players keep saying they themselves are 'excited' by is Tonev. he must be doing great thinks on the training ground. For me he just needs to settle and lets this naturally flow over to the real matches because at the moment its almost as if he's trying to hard.

  11. I took my wife to two games last year, Fulham away and QPR at home.

Fulham away as others have said is the safest bet but in reality its hard to pick a game.  At the Fulham game, the whole day was quite pleasant but during the game we must have had the biggest whinger in the world standing directly behind us. None stop moaning throughout the game. If my Mrs wasnt there I would have told him to be quite (although a few others did during the game).  My wife was surprised at how close you could get to the pitch as we were about 10 rows back from the front. A lot different from the view on TV and her only other previous visit to a ground which was in the skies at the Emirates.

QPR at home we sat in Lower Witton bang on the half way line. Fantastic seats. Great atmosphere and top game. However, again, even though we were in the "nice" seats. There were some idiots around us, mouthing off. Sian Massey was the linesman (linesperons?) and this one old chap got up a few times when nothing was really going on and shouting "you fat cow", "you stupid bitch" etc. Never expected that, everyone seemed shocked by his behaviour.

So all in all, you are likely to have a good time no matter what the game is. But picking particular fixtures wont guarantee certain atmospheres.

They're called an 'assistant referee' now although that will probably change soon.

I'd go for the lower Holte. Easy to get tickets for a game and really good atmosphere. Can get quite close to the pitch or further back for a better view. As for the game itself I'd go for West Brom on the 25 Nov. Derby type noise and should be a good game with 'nice' football being played.
