  1. He's not afraid to stand up and tell people things

He has a fierce will to win too. He loves winning and hates losing. He has that winning mentality, 100%

The one thing he always gets across is this need to win, this desire to win

Someone's been on the piss

WTF If ANY manager does not have those traits they should never be a manager in the first!!!

Just watching Spurs now and frankly its a disgrace how much better they are than us  . That reminds me when actually played at White Hart Lane Eck said that all our players should relish those types of games...

Someone needs to inform him of the great History of Aston Villa and what is expected by the fans at this famous club

  2. Mcleish was appointed because he was the only one who would take the job with the current financial constraints

I can imagine when he recieved the call from lerner that he thought it was some kind of windup after all he just took a side down into the championship

With all do respect to him but he had money to spend...some 17-18 million but he should of generated more by selling a lot of our "first teamers" even if for quite a low amount to get them off the wage bill.

On Football Manager I started out with the same amount of dosh from Lerner and I managed to finish 5th in my first season by selling our established deadwood or loaning them out (to save the wages) and gave our youngsters a good go while pretty much transforming the team just 20 million.

    Oh **** me, really? REALLY?

You HAVE to be taking the piss.

Im not taking the piss at all its a FACT. I can show you a print screen of the league table.

It is a game so should not be considered exactly true to life, but in a lot of ways it is one of the most realistic in terms of finances, wages, players personal attributes etc all the same. My point was that Eck could of made drastic changes pre season that could of really benefitted Villa but he lacked the willingness to do so.

  3. I understand the protests...quality wise the football has been championship standard at best never mind the shocking results.

I would pay a tenner to go and watch a Swansea training session and then a Villa training session and take details of all the variations and similarities...it might give us an indication as to whats going on.

  5. Leeds, Everton, Forest now Villa..... bastions of the English game these clubs with unhappy fans protesting...

Look at Portsmouth, Plymouth and the rest going down the pan...

Look what Football and Greed has done to our game...

  6. As i posted weeks ago a boycott of VP is needed on one day to maximise the point to the board. Pick a game thats on tele and ask people to all go down to the surrounding pubs, and pump the £30odd into there tills and keep them afloat abit longer whilst singing with villa fans.

Your spot on its all about money and its the only power the fans have. I prefer to do that anyway to be honest because going to watch games is no fun at all.

  7. We are in the same position and have the same number of points last season and the hate towards the manager was not as strong as it is now.
On the contrary I think Houllier faced far more venom last season than McLeish is facing now.

I would argue that a lot of Villa this season have given up thinking its going to get any better and the hope is gone. The faces on the fans at home games tells its own story most seem to be wondering to themelseves why on earth they bother to turn up and spend money watching average largeyl petulant footballers play some mediocre rubbish

  8. Something needs to change asap. Ive backed him and supported him, but im sorry, enough is enough.

You only have to look at what MON has done with Sunderland, the same set of players (give or take) that Bruce had and look at them.

I will always respect McLeish for having the balls to take the job, but there is no room in football for niceties.

I agree the bigger problem if we are considering how to mount our challenge to the top 4 is Randy Lerner. But the biggest and current problem we face is having a manager who is outdated and tactically clueless...whose teams play a brand of anti passing non possesion football that is 3 times worse than under MON!!

It really is shocking that we would pay money for Eck to Blues and give him a contract more than a year long...terrible terrible decision from the Aston Villa big wigs in charge

  9. As a club do you think we deserve to stay up? The way the owners have treated the fans by appointing Mcleash stinks.

No we dont deserve to stay up judging by what I have seen so far...just our luck so many other teams are cack :(

  10. The amount of times the ball was hoofed out of defence aimed at him to run onto today was amazing, he is not that type of player. Sure he missed a chance or two today but he got into those positions which considering the shite way we played was amazing

To call him lazy or idle based on the game today is plain wrong, for me he was neither

Agreed. He needs balls into his FEET.

It aint happening...not while Eck sees the hoof ball as a viable method of play :(

  11. I do not think Lerner can afford to get rid.

Mcleish is working to a plan, a project. to change that now for Lerner would be disaster and he would not get another manager (certainly none of the likes mentioned here) to manage us under the restrictions. For the club to get better Lerner has to go. And soon[/quote

Its so hard too stomach this Reality though Richard it really is :(

  12. What a **** coward. Sits behind his **** keyboard tweeting he ain't happy playing football. You got a problem Charles go speak with the manager face to face. Gutless ****.

I find it funny how you slated the manager and defended the player last season in a similar situation.

That's not to say N'Zogbia was wrong though, as he was wrong just like Collins and Dunne were last season.

Like I said in a subsequent post you got beef with the management say it to their face. Don't hide behind your **** keyboard like Charles has.

A bit like our manager then using an Email to tell Birmingham he was sodding off to join us!!!!:lol::lol:

Eck leading by example then eh? 8) 8)

  13. Mcleish is a victim of his own tactics...he is like MON (but worse) a drill master who wants control over everything and to keep players running and tackling and doing everything. We need a manager who has the philosophy to let the players go out and attack and express themselves!!

Players play best when they dont have to think too much but it just comes natural to them...ours seem drilled like soldiers taught too chase the ball around the pitch and not make any mistakes....no wonder they are pissed off

  14. Well said Nzogbia!!!

Honesty is the best policy and if we are all honest our performances have warranted our shite league position and 6 wins from 24. We have the players but the formation and set up is all wrong and negative.

If the fans can see it and the players why cant Eck??

    Eck Out !!
