Oii .. I think Belhanda closed his account ! Couldn't find it tbh ! Might be busy atm and don't want to read what's being wrote ?!
It wasn't his account, the Montpellier official account tweeted saying the Belhanda one was a fake

Would be pretty cool if it was Coca Cola, I imagine that would give us quite a bit of exposure worldwide.
it would give us more exposure than them which i why i dont see it happening, they dont need us
A few million to sponsor us is probably nothing to them, as far as I can recall they're not really associated with many sports teams or events so it might be a new market they're looking to push into.

Saw this pop up on my twitter feed and wondered why the hell they were being let go;
Contracts of Graham Burke, Derrick Williams, Michael Drennan, Samir Carruthers and Daniel Johnson are set to expire. #AVFC
But then this appeared;
But all five young lions have been offered extensions. #AVFC
I would assume they're all gonna sign?

That video makes him look like an absolute beast of a player!

Watching the Japan v Aus game now, Holmans playing pretty good. Played a couple of cracking through balls that they should have scored from.

wow 25 pages on this guy and not even a bid in yet!
I think our bid was accepted a while back?

I guess we'll find out how big the pull of playing in England and the Premier League really is..

Charlie Austin has been convicted of common assault, think we can forget about Lambert wanting to sign him...

So Popov and Tonev are mates? do they play for the same side? google translate has confused me.
I think he was implying that they're friends from playing for the National side together

We're only a few weeks into the transfer window, for all those saying, 'only signing players who are cheap isn't the way forward', who's to say he's only going to do that. He might yet buy a few players who are of a Benteke/Young/Milner price range. Wait till the end of the window to judge the kind of players he's signing, not before we've even signed anyone.

Exactly why are Swansea interested in Bannan? Hope I am not missing something?
Laudrup is absolutely made up with Con's heat maps & charts & wants to beat Barcelona to the punch!
Apparently the 4 yard pass .gif has alerted many of Europe's top clubs to Bannan's ability, Barcelona love a player who can pass the ball. Swansea will be lucky to get him

He was linked to Palace in The Metro.
Personally I think somewhere like Galatasray is more likely.
He's always played for mid table clubs and never really achieved anything with his teams in terms of trophies. I think he'll probably want to go somewhere where he has a chance of winning something major and adding accolades to his career, so Galatasary would be a good shout. Plus they have the money to pay his wages.

Do some people think last season was acceptable?!?!? Lerner has been a complete failure and an incompetent owner who should just get out. He allowed MON to spunk money on shit players. He should have known MON was useless. What about the lack of backing to Lambert. Why doesn't he give him more money? Doesn't he trust him? Useless. We spent far too much on shit under MON when we could have got younger hungry players for less. Now under Lambert we're spunking money on youth and inexperience, not the quality we need. Lerner will never make me happy unless we win the league, then I might stop moaning on and on and on and on and on repeating the same tired arguments over and over and over and over because I obviously have nothing else interesting to think about in my empty little life.
The guy's not psychic and also can't see into the future. MoN was taking us places at the time so it would only be natural to back the manager with the necessary funds to progress further, it's hardly Lerner's fault that MoN spent the money on useless players.Sarcasm doesn't come across well over the internet.
It does once you realise it's sarcasm. Your "like" was what raised the sarcasm alert for me. There have been so many serious posts like that (though not from Kingfisher) that it's hard to tell sometimes
Alright, lets just forget I said that bit

I think it's probably quite a sensible idea to not throw lots of money at new managers such as Lambert, potentially the same could have happened as did with MoN and it would have been money wasted. Now that Lerner has seen that Lambert can do fairly well with a limited budget it would be sensible to give him more money now that he knows he can trust Lambert to do good with it.

I quite liked Holman, always closed down the opposition defence and on a few occasions we really benefited from this. One of Benteke's goals against Liverpool came from Holman taking the ball from a Liverpool player in their own half. Always put a lot of work in and has a cracking shot on him. Would be good to keep as a squad player but I think he'd rather have first team football, he's an important player for Australia so will need to be playing.
-
I feel that if we sign Charlie Austin, Lambert may use him as a sub/cup player for the first season just to get him used to the pace of the premier league with a view for him to be used more often next season, as it's unlikely Benteke will stay for another if he repeats his goal tally from this season.

If anyone else is like me and has bugger all to do, here's a link to the Poznan game that he's playing in right now. English commentary aswell.

James Nursery on Twitter saying that we're monitoring Jay Spearing who Liverpool are apparently gonna let go..

Pretty certain Warnock has already been sold to Leeds in January, so that free's up his wages for another player.

Been called up to the England U21 squad to replace the injured Callum McManaman.
Surely means he must have been playing fairly well at Blackpool this season?

The guy's a Holland international, who does anyone think were going to be able to sign that's better, we're certainly not in a situation to be attracting the world class talent it seems a few people expect!

Nordsjaelland defender Jores Okore has revealed that he turned down the chance to join Chelsea in January. http://tinyurl.com/oefser6
Interesting read, says he wants first team games so turned Chelsea down.
Also says he's willing to stay in Scandinavia for now to further develop and would then look to sign for a big team like Chelsea in the future.
Hopefully he's willing to come to Villa to develop.
