I was at Charlton v Aberdeen last weekend and saw Blackett-Taylor play for Charlton. I reckon he was probably one of the best players on the pitch. Seemed to be able to run through 2 or 3 Aberdeen players like they weren't even there. Got himself a goal too. He didn't seem noticeably quick or skillfull but just had no problem beating his man and getting down the wing. First touch was a bit suspect but I'd imagaine he'll have a solid career in the EFL.

Thought Mings looked quite sloppy today in comparison to Carlos and Chambers

I think the difference between him and Watkins showed for the goal. Ball comes into the box, Watkins takes a swing and completely misses it, Archer kills it dead and buries it. 

I suppose you could say he had an extra second or so to see the ball coming but if a half chance came up in the box I'd rather have Archer trying to finish it than Watkins.

Was checking in on some ex-players and see that Tonev has retired at the age of 31. Also found this article from a few months back I hadn't seen before regarding his ban whilst playinng for Celtic.

I think Cantwell makes a lot of sense with Grealish gone, same position and similar playstyle to Grealish, played in the Premier League before, young enough to improve, previous link up with Buendia. I'm personally pretty indifferent to signing him but it's easy to see why the links have been made

Not sure if this has already been posted but it seems to have come to light that this guy knows a fair bit about what’s going on at Villa. Looks like the Grealish transfer has been agreed to for a while now.

Why do we always leave it so late to bring on a 2nd striker and really attack. We obviously can't play the way we did in the last 5 mins for the whole game but if we started attacking that intensely 5 or 10 minutes earlier we win that game.
