Ok let's look at 15/16
Burnley, who stormed the league, were 18th in the possession stat table with 48.2%
An anomaly like Leicester.
Very obvious correlation between winning/possession in The Championship.
Post the rest of the top 10 for 2015/2016 if you like.

Threads gone quiet, hmmm.

Championship table end of 2014/2015:
Of the top 10 teams. Only 2 out of the top 10 were not also in the top 10 for possession. Blackburn and Birmingham who were 9th and 10th in the league but were 14th and 24th in possession respectively. SO THE TOP 8 IN THE LEAGUE WE'RE ALSO TOP 8 IN POSSESSION. But possession doesn't matter, right?

It certainly makes a nice change to have difficulty deciding who is player of the season,
Difficulty? We have one POTS and his name is in the thread title. If I found out anyone has voted for Alan **** Hutton i've going to give them a cyber slap!

Fans vote for that thing? WALOFS.

Winning with 30% possession at home is not 'winning' football its 'getting lucky and on the edge of being found out football'. Go back a few months and we was playing this 'winning' football then lost 7 out of 8 games. Even by our recent years of highly shite standards, thats a silly amount of matches to lose.
Manchester United play droll but winning football. We play droll but getting lucky at the football.
If this is what you want then fine, but don't expect automatic next season. Expect play-offs at best.

Kodjia obviously not as good as Aston Villa Benteke but you could put him up against Palace Benteke....although he did score a brilliant goal vs Chelsea today.

BBC WM have just said that you don't get out of this league playing effervescent attractive football.
Yup, Barca would really struggle in our league. FFS don't listen to that cliched shyte.
We are chances at the moment, we need to improve our chances of automatic promotion next season, not to get lucky every match in the hope of a playoff spot.
So can't buy into the Steve Bruce love in when viewed from a 'automatic promotion next season' point of view.

£20 million is peanuts for a Premier League team these days I could easily see a scenario where a bottom half team bids that for him. He's better than all 'Boro strikers and Benteke imo
-
Yup its still 'bity'. Kodjia goal cut in on right foot, top corner with left foot. He never scores the same goal twice ! Legend.

I like it. Don't find it funny, just creative. Its about time this club started upping its social media game.

In before "sometimes you have to win ugly"
In our case, it's all the time !!

Does this mean we will get promoted this season?

I still can't figure out how we're allowing ourselves to get dominated by Wigan
'Cos Steve Bruce insists of defending with 11 men behind the ball....it just bounces back all the time...all our matches are like this.

goal goal goaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaal
-
Yup, change it up.
-
Its an ironic thing, I get it now.
-
I've been the biggest champion of this man on here.
I don't get why we keep getting the "can be very frustrating" caveat all the time.
Is it all the goals he scores which are frustrating?
I like his get-up too. Very cool

We were shit again by all accounts and got lucky with a homer ref.
Why doesn't this surprise me?
-
Meh, was hoping we would lose to speed up the exit of Bruce.

You mean people who have praised Alan Huttons work ethic/professionalism (Which is factual, not speculation or opinion), and give him credit when he has had a good game?.
What is fact is that he is total horse shit and has been a permanent fixture in our astronomical downfall.
Lets all cheer him for getting a red card? Were you cheering him that time??
The club needs forward thinkers, not backward thinkers.
#stuck in the 80's.

Where would be in the league if you take SB's average points total with us and spread it across the 11 games RDM was in charge?
-
We didn't have a shot on target in the 2nd half? More bad luck? Doesn't fit the faux "unlucky" narrative does it.
It does fit the "we are crap narrative" though.

We battered them (apparently).

This season is even more damning....
Of the top 10 teams in the league, 9 are in the top 10 for possession also.
So its undeniable we need to improve in that respect.
However I would suspect Bruce knows this. I also suspect especially with him alluding to fitness issues before he came in that he is 'blagging' it at the moment. He/I know we aren't a good team, just making the best of what we've got. Which is a bit concerning for promotion next season if not spending $$$.
