  1. I want us to sign N'Zogbia but do not want to pay over the odds for the player. I respect the club for playing hardball. Caving into players demands has put us in this mess in the first place. If N'Zogbia is messing us about we should forget him and go for someone else. I can't see a bigger club than us coming in for him atm though. I do hope we sign him but not at an inflated contract for the sake of it!

  2. Ireland better sort it out now! We need him on song. 4-3-3.

    ----------------Given-----------------

    Cuellar---Dunne---Collins---Young

    ----------Makoun----Delph----------

    ----------------Ireland---------------

    Albrighton------Bent---------Gabby

Not a bad team, not a world beater but decent. We can still do alright with the right manager and tactics!

  3. I cant believe he's on anywhere near 65k a week at Wigan, so surely any type of pay rise and a move to a bigger club would be a good thing, so not sure why would he price himself out of a move.

Because hes a footballer, hence, a greedy ****.

Tbh id rather give N'Zog 65k a week rather than Given. I dont think we're in a position to be offereing both 65k a week wages

He should be on roughly 35-40k with bonuses, ie for goals scored and assists and etc. Should give him incentive and a potential big wage packet at the end of the month too.

  4. Saying Shay Given is only a good shot stopper is like saying Darren Bent only scores goals. I'd take him in a heartbeat.

No it isn't. It's like saying a player has no left foot, or isn't good in the air.

A keeper's job is to stop goals from being scored, and part of that means good positioning, claiming crosses, organising his defence, etc. so that he doesn't have to do flashy saves.

Given was the best shot stopper in the league for a few seasons, yet none of the top 4 came in for him. There's a reason for that.

Yeah - Van Der Sar, Cech, Reina etc... were already in place at current clubs

And Man City refused to sell to Arsenal. I think. We know how Wenger has his restraints.

Given is a good goalkeeper. As long as he passes his medical and is injury free I would be very happy with that signing.

  5. Given is a very good goalkeeper. Always has been always will be. If he is injury free and available we should sign him. He has experience, he knows what the premier league is all about and has been consistent all the way through. If he came here I would be happy and have confidence in our goalkeeper as long as he is injury free. I'm sure if there are any problems in the medical we won't risk signing him on a long term deal. I say get him in!

  6. Finally finished the second one yesterday, superb stuff. Be interesting to see how they top some of the magnificent set-pieces.

I loved the first one and didn't think they could top that but they did. I think this one will be immense! Cannot wait for it. Trailers look great!

  7. Please, please, please, please let this be true and let it happen, Paul Ince would be a brilliant appointment if your a Villa fan.

Paul Ince is among the candidates being considered by Birmingham City to replace Alex McLeish.

Birmingham, who were relegated from the Premier League last season, have spoken to the former Newcastle manager Chris Hughton and are also considering offering Gianfranco Zola a chance to return to English football, a year after leaving West Ham. Billy Davies is another candidate following his sacking at Nottingham Forest.

Paul Ince the new Govenor of the sty?

Paul Ince at SHA would be a disaster... Lets hope the sign him up! That would actually be a worse appointment then ours lol
