Very happy with this signing. He is a very good keeper and can do a good job for us. I think him and Dunne playing several games together already can onlly benefit us!

I want us to sign N'Zogbia but do not want to pay over the odds for the player. I respect the club for playing hardball. Caving into players demands has put us in this mess in the first place. If N'Zogbia is messing us about we should forget him and go for someone else. I can't see a bigger club than us coming in for him atm though. I do hope we sign him but not at an inflated contract for the sake of it!

He should be on roughly 35-40k with bonuses, ie for goals scored and assists and etc. Should give him incentive and a potential big wage packet at the end of the month too.

Saying Shay Given is only a good shot stopper is like saying Darren Bent only scores goals. I'd take him in a heartbeat.

No it isn't. It's like saying a player has no left foot, or isn't good in the air.

A keeper's job is to stop goals from being scored, and part of that means good positioning, claiming crosses, organising his defence, etc. so that he doesn't have to do flashy saves.

Given was the best shot stopper in the league for a few seasons, yet none of the top 4 came in for him. There's a reason for that.

Given is a good goalkeeper. As long as he passes his medical and is injury free I would be very happy with that signing.

Given is a very good goalkeeper. Always has been always will be. If he is injury free and available we should sign him. He has experience, he knows what the premier league is all about and has been consistent all the way through. If he came here I would be happy and have confidence in our goalkeeper as long as he is injury free. I'm sure if there are any problems in the medical we won't risk signing him on a long term deal. I say get him in!

I think he is a good player and with a run of games this season he will come good! Makoun, Delph and Petrov. I like that.
