I don't want MON back. He had some success but with him gone we have seen the likes of Bannan and Albrighton break though. I still believe we will turn this around and climb the table.

Well
The last time England won The Ashes in Australia, Villa got relegated
Just sayin
Perfect ending to the day lol thanks for that.
But on a serious note. We will be ok. Even though it looks dreadful at the moment part of me still believes GH is the right man for the job and will bring us out of this. Makoun and a quality centre forward and we will be ok. Just trying to stay positive and optimistic. Having a fourth manager this season is beyond a joke.
What part of you is that? Your funny bone?
Possibly. I have no real reason for thinking that other then with a good transfer window he may be able to turn it around. I really dont know.

The only positive thing I can think of was a week ago West Ham, Wolves and Fulham looked certain to be in the shitter but with a good run of 2/3 games they are in a much better position...
Hows that a positive we are in the shitter now.
I meant that it only takes a few decent results to clmb out of trouble and we are still capable of that.

Sunderland are flying this season but once we play some teams around us I'm sure we can pick up points and pull away and move up... I hope

I feel so disheartened with our recent form under GH. People are calling for his head but who would you bring in? I dont think Big Sam or Jol are the answer and Moyes won't leave Everton. Maybe we could get Ancelotti if he is sacked tomorrow too. Please not Hodgson or Benetiz. Really shell shocked by it all.
-
I'm really disappointed with tonights result. They were no better then us before the sending off though. Im unsure on the sacking of GH as I would like to see him bring in some of his own players but we cant afford that now with our position in the league.
The only thing I know for sure is that Big Sam isn't the answer. He will prevent relegation but he will never reach the heights of MON or take us any further.
-
I predict that whatever the score, we supporters will spend the last ten minutes of the match with our bottom cheeks clenched together.
Thats the only thing thats guaranteed.
-
Sunderland have only won once away from home and that was against Chelsea. They have drawn loads though. This game is up in the air. I think if GH can get em ready like he did Chelsea then we can win.
-
I think its unfair to judge GH yet. We had one hell of an injury crisis and we are only half way through the season. We should see how we do by the end of the season. The league table is so tight that we could end up anywhere from 6-20.
-
I still think we will finish in the top 10 and have a good run of results soon. Some of the football we play isn't too bad. I think we got a fairly good run of games after Man City. A few signings in January and I see a top 10 finish for us.
-
Looking forward to tonight. 3 points and it'll see us jump up to 13th. We are still more then capable of achieving 8th position in theleague this year.
-
If no Delph then play the same team as Chelsea.
Having Albrighton on the bench to scare a tired defence in the 2nd half is a great option.
The thing with Albrighton he seems to make a lot of mistakes late on in games. He gave away the free kick against Fulham for them to equalise and he lost the ball against Chelsea for them to score their 3rd goal. I'm sure he has given a penalty away or something too. As soon as he came on against Chelsea I knew he would do something like that. I'm a big fan of the lad and he will learn from his mistakes but I'd probably rather he started and we rested Downing and brought him on 60/70mins in. Downing I think has played every game for us this year, he needs some sort of rest or he is going to burn out.
-
I'm interested to see if Bannan and Albrighton come back in to the team for this one.... If Albrighton does come back in it'll probably be for Gabby on the wings. I would like to see some sort of consistancy and for the team to be as similar as possible. Loved the height we had in the team on Sunday too so hopefully we'll see that in a few more games.
-
I don't think we will keep a clean sheet unless they don't turn up. It's going to be a case of out scoring them. Its got potential to be a really good game. They are in a good run of form, we are at home and just come off that injury time goal against Chelsea.
-
Oh ok. We had people over when the match was on so had to keep the volume down but I thought I may have heard that Clark was suspended because he picked up 5 yellows this season. I hope I misheard.
-
We need a result badly for this one. A win here and we can pull away from the bottom and start to move on up. The players showed some fight. Do we have players suspended after all those yellows?
-
Was a pathetic performance and it was a joke. Everything was wrong today. All we seem to do is pass into the channels and cross with no one actually there who is capable of beating the defenders to the ball. Or we get the ball in the final third and then turn around and pass it back towards our goal!
It is a joke!
We still are a counter attacking team and we should play like that. NRC and Petrov should sit infront of the defence. As GH brings his players in then he can slowly adjust the way the team plays. Just a joke. We need to play deep and then send Gabby through. We are not utilising his pace.
-
We have the worst goal difference in the league now along with Wigan.
-
Delph n Milner bust up lol
-
To be fair, Pires gets a lot of stick, but his passing in the few minutes he's been on is better then all the passing from everyone else on our team combined.
-
Why do we persist with crossing the ball in the box? We did it against Spurs. The only big lad we got in there is Collins. I'd rather we resorted to long shots with Gabby attempting to slot in any loose balls. Tactically this is pathetic. Really annoyed.
-
Shambles and now Delph is injured. Rushed him back to quickly. This is absolute rubbish.
Houllier: Back him or sack him?

Its looking more likely that West Ham are going to sack Grant. If they do then Big Sam might be snapped up immediately. Where would that leave people with a replacement for GH?
