Are you feeling inspired by the 2012 Olympic Games?

Thinking about taking part in the Bupa Great Birmingham Run?

Be part of 'Team Cure Leukaemia' and be part of something special!

Cure Leukaemia CEO James McLaughlin will be joined by Cure Leukaemia patron and Warwickshire's assistant coach Dougie Brown, Radio WM's Terry Goodwin, Free Radio’s Russ Morris and keen supporter and marathon runner Blind Dave Heeley and some of our very own research nurses, as part of 'Team Cure Leukaemia' on Sunday 21st October 2012.

We will pay your registration fee and provide branded running vests, accurate chip timing and running packs and a post race celebratory event; all we ask is for participants to raise a minimum of £250 sponsorship to help us achieve our aim of raising £25,000.

Cure Leukaemia is based at the Haematology Clinic at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham and our aim is to fund nurses at hospitals throughout the West Midlands. We give patients who have come to the end of their treatment available on the NHS, access to potentially lifesaving, ground breaking drugs and treatments. It costs on average £25,000 to fund a nurse for a year and our fundraising ensures this extraordinary work continues and ultimately, save the lives of people suffering with blood cancer.
