I'm bemused by that Houllier interview if I'm honest. He seems to act like we dominated the game and results have been decent really. A man with no troubles if you like.

GH needs to get the squad fighting to stay in this league, just as all the other squads around us (now mostly above us) are doing. We have, on paper, an excellent selection of players - good enough to finish 6th in fact and if a manager can't motivate those players well enough to even gain a respectable placing then he is no kind of manager.

On those words Big Sam is the answer..I cant think of any other manager that can get results with a bunch of shit..

The support for Houllier and the team was fantastic today...

It is hard to tell fact from fiction at the moment and i still believe there is a lot of Smoke & Mirrors designed to support a failing manger.However after my little contretemps with MysteryMan on the Houllier thread I have made him a partial apology for suggesting he was a club flunky and now accept some of what he has said - that said I stand by the right to challenge His ITK comments that are too often taken by many as being Unchallengeable facts. That said it was suggested that one of the players was very very negative about the club and the area. I therefore have in the last hour made a few enquiries from others who are undoubtedly ITK and whilst I still think Houllier is weak and has to go there is a certain LB who should NEVER be allowed to wear the Villa colours again and if he plays against Chelsea it will just further prove how weak Houllier really is. I don't really care whether people believe me or not but irrespective of my position on Houllier I am now willing to accept that we have at least one clearing in the woods on our squad who needs to be booted out!

Whatever happens at this critical game I stand by my original assertion that Gerard Houllier is not the right manager for AFVC although I am sure he is a lovely man, Husband, father and grandfather who is also kind to animals!

Some of them were upset over the inital 6 put on the trans list by MON..Others maybe because K'Mac wasnt given the job..The problems would have started before Houllier stepped in the door.

You know if houllier wasn't so weak and pathetic we wouldn't need signs and other ridiculous things. If he could do his job well he'd have Everyones support.

He isnt weak though...Its just he hasnt the luxury atm to replace all the players refusing to give 100%..He has already washed his hands with Ireland,Dunne,Beye,Sidwell and Carew..

Yet we have seen excellent play from Bannan,Delph,Albrighton,Downing and Heskey..Houllier needs recruitments and he needs our support..Big support for Houllier will make some of these selfish players think that they are alone in their little protest.

We need support notices for Houllier,so we can hand them out to all the fans...Its very important that the players understand we support the boss.

Where's the General when you need him?

Is there anybody with any conections in getting some flags and banners done up in support for the Board and Houllier in time for the Sunderland game? We need to drown out the boo boys and give Houllier some support..

Why are the younger players giving their all,yet some seniors not giving a toss? I mean look at Albrighton and Delph,they are playing really well,its so unfair that some of the seniors are not setting good examples.

My only gripe is that whilst I can understand he got a bit nostalgic on his 1st return to Anfield as a Premiership boss,he should never ingore his own fans..VILLA FANS..

The travelling support for Villa is one of the best in the country and Houllier should have applauded the support..NOT JUST THE LIVERPOOL FANS.

I hope we keep him as he as got acustomed to the squad and laid down the building blocks with staff,coaches and scouts etc..But he must start becoming a Villan while he works for us..He must be commited in actions(applauding aknowledging us fans)to the Club..

Hi General,

I was at the game on Saturday and got in early bought a program sat down with my cup of tea etc..I noticed about 6 kids leaning over the advertising boards whilst the players were warming up..As Gerard Houllier walked past a couple of them held out a pen and asked for an autograph,shouting out "Hello Gerard"..Now this is early and Gerard wasnt too busy at the time,he was just walking past after just doing an interview for French television...Yet he never even said hello back..

Then Theo Walcott came running out of the tunnel and our same fans,these few kids shouted over "Hi Theo" they held out a pen and he came over said hello and signed a few cards,it took no more than 30 secs.

I also noticed Ian Taylor walk over and Brad Friedel at one point.

Now ok,Gerard is a busy man but I think a quick wave or hello costs nothing..

I not getting on Gerard's back here as I like the guy and what he is trying to do..But these kids mean no harm and are our future support..
