little piece of advice, don't throw around things like "i know that 100%" then say you're just "relaying info". it's contradictory...emotions are running high at the moment as i'm sure you can tell, it will ease the backlash you're getting

Its costing him a lot of ££ as well🤣

Actually the bet runs to the end of this window

You’re really wound up by this, mate chill out

Yeah I agree, sadly the media in this country will fawn over it rather than ask hard questions about how this isn’t good for the game.

on Greg Evans I find Bardell far more cringe he’s just desperate to be a media personality, he has a Vanilla personality to

The bet was that Grealish wouldnt move to Man United before the end of the Summer 2021 transfer window. However i did say that you can donate my winnings to VillaTalk, you are welcome to go back through my post history for the quote

Deadline is next summer but think I’ll be paying out and happy to @Corleone So you can stop reminding me daily now mate.

Us staying up + Covid has dramatically changed the landscape and it’s benefiting us massively as a club, even beyond Jack

Yes I’m a villa fan and I was incredibly pissed off at the prospect of losing him, we were struggling, he’s was “off” I wasn’t happy at all. I’m glad it’s changed around because I’ve always been consistent it was happening back Jan/Feb time he’d been sounded out, a deal had been agreed in principle. And I don’t care if none of you believe me Southgate was also a factor, he has a problem with our club I don’t know why.

regarding the United deal, it was there in Feb, think covid has wiped a lot off players values and United expected to pick him up a good £20m cheaper.

Jack said in his interview it was 50/50 until a few days ago. There’s no smoke without fire, that’s twice we’ve been incredibly close to losing him (first was Spurs) only for us to get a bit lucky and him stay, it’s almost like fate.

I don’t think he will go United now but you never know next year if he has a great season their will be a lot more interest in him.

No need to pay it to me - Just pay it to the Villatalk site for their upkeep

You sure? I’m game but make it the end of next summer’s transfer window so 1st sept 2021 or whatever it pans out as, if that’s what the deadline is. I’d have took this on this summers window had the dates not all got shifted due to Covid.

👍 - whatever the deadline is next year (Summer) - i dont see it myself - i Think he will leave, but not to Man United. however, it sounds like you have some inside info so enjoy your £100

well tbh 6 weeks ago it was done, **** knows after covid.

our owners said they wouldn’t stand in his way although they wanted market value £70-80m. 2 years left on contract probably relegated.
United offer him 5 years around £155k p/w and it’s all done.

Other bits to it but I show my hand if I say how I know.

Take this P lads I don’t care, personally I’m gutted but that’s the situation.

If Grealish Moves to Man United  - Ill give you  £100 if not you send me £100 - bet expires End July 2021

He’s brilliant, but he still hasn’t really done it against top opposition (Arsenal and Man U don’t count). Would be interesting to see how he got on in a very defensive Champions League knockout tie.

He’s perfect for international football though, and Southgate is insane.

Even Messi would struggle against the likes of Liverpool and Man city if he was playing alongside the likes of Wesley,Nakamba and Jota tbf

  7. We did what we have almost always done over the last 30 years, its almost ingrained within the psyche of the club

i suspect if you were to do an analysis of the top 60 clubs in the UK where points were dropped in games in the last 5 minutes over this period of time we would finish in the top 3

Likewise if you were to do an analysis of the top 60 clubs in the UK where points were won in games in the last 5 minutes over this period of time we would finish in the bottom 3

Smith has to b doing better. The recent results have been very poor

Mainly due to the shit defence and GK he has been left with, he needs at least 2 windows before he can be judged

  9. I seem to remember going to a number of away matches during our last visit to the 2nd tier of english football and there were times when the away ends were so packed that you would just get swept away by the masses of people but it was considered the norm back then.

Bradford away springs to mind when we won 4-2 and then the season after at Old Trafford when we drew 1-1 (cowans)

Im sure there were a number of games during those couple of seasons especially 1987/88  where we could easily have been involved in a similar scenario.

Why would you think the trains are only going to go one way? :suspect:

They will terminate in Birmingham near Curzon Street Station (by the Thinktank if you dont know that part of town too well) and there will be a big elevated walkway with an entrance/exit on Moor Street too. I doubt it will look exactly like this, but it is the image going around at the moment.

SO, If in my case i then wanted to continue my journey up from london back home to lichfield, i would then have to walk over to New Street from Curzon street station to catch the train up to lichfield, thus not saving any overall journey time going home
