Wolves will be probably missing all of Hwang, Cunha and Neto. Come on that's all of their foward line and we're crying about the midfield even though Tielemans and Luiz will still probably be out there.

Think Dawson is out aswell currently so that's their big threat from set pieces.

I know Wolves are a massive bogey team for us but we should be winning that game. Turn them round, attack the Holte first half and get a goal up in first 20 minutes and we'll be o.k in that one I reckon.

West Ham away trickier but Burnley nearly beat them today and they'll have to put a big effort in the week to beat Freiburg so their minds will be on that more so we'll be getting likes of Kalvin Phillips starting v us.

Minimum of four points. I think Unai is going to have to stray away from his natural instinct a bit in the last 10 games as just being passive and containing against top half teams isn't going to get us the required wins. Taking risks and being on the front foot will give us a better chance.

Wolves could be down to their u16 squad but would still somehow end up playing like prime Barcelona against us

We are within touching distance, yes I now want the hottie 4th, not just accept the plain Jane 5th-6th.

Knowing Villa well probably end up with fat Sue from accounts (7th)

50 M for Diaby is ridiculous money.

I'm sure he is a decent player but the game is gone.

Not when you consider Newcastle paid a similar fee for Anthony Gordon

When was the last time we’ve been in a transfer saga like this lol?

Benni Mcarthy - I still think we are in with a chance of signing him before the window shuts

Well it’s very likely they’ll lose against City, so really it’s just one game against Southampton.  Now you have an argument that it’s Southampton and how poor they are but there is always a chance because it’s the PL and we have evidence as Brighton got stuffed by Everton just last week.  Unlikely as it is, plus we just sit back and watch because we’ve done our bit, Brighton still have to go and beat Saints,

If Brighton do beat Southampton they will have nothing to play for against us as they will be 06th whatever the outcome

Newcastle have 2 games in hand but we are within 4 points of them.

If you had told me in October that we would get within 4 points of Newcastle by the end of the season, I would have called you a doctor.

Like the time traveller Doctor Who?

    He'such more.exposive than Traore.

I'd argue they are totally different players.

Traore is more of a skill and finesse player.

Sarr is more like an old school, dynamic, pacery winger / wife forward.

tbh Ive never thought of him as Wife material but if he delivers the goods ill happily give him a kiss on his face

Fair enough. Each to their own views.

I think as well, on TM, there was a spell where he said he was struggling mentally around expectation and pressure and it may be the case that slightly stepping back from leadership will be better for him in that regard.

I really don’t see who the captain is being any indication at all of “ambition”.

The manager has a squad of players and from that squad he picks a team and on the day one of them is Captain. Nominating someone at the start of the season doesn’t guarantee they’ll be picked, it’s just a bit of admin, really. It’s a little bit of extra work for the Captain, and in return there’s the honour of being named as Aston Villa captain.

Its more about the message that it send out that they are happy with the midfield that they have.

If villa are serious about pushing for the top 08 then the likes of Mings and McGinn should not be regular starters.

It doesn't matter who is captain - who calls heads or tails and who picks ends.

Who tells the players what time to be at breakfast (if it's not the manager doing that). Who speaks more to the media. It doesn't matter. It's not like cricket where the captain makes all the decisions. It's largely symbolic.

Tyrone will still be Tyrone, and SJM will still be SJM. They'll still be two of the more vocal and outgoing players. Both thoroughly good characters and if concentrating solely on his own games allows TM to cut out the occasional unforced error, then fair dos.

Non-issue for me, and I like and admire both players.

I think it does matter and its an indication of the clubs ambition which  - with McGinn as an almost nailed on starter every week is not one that matches the noises which keep on coming from the board and the manager.

Talk if West Ham wanting him now. He’s my #1 target. Hope we get him.

West Ham will only get him if they sell Rice for £100mil and the Golds offer Brighton £30mil
