  1. A game featuring James Milner would never be called off as he has undersoil heating.
  2. Tell you what chaps, if we weren't over the moon about drawing Brighton at home in the FA cup before today, we certainly should be now. Imagine if we had to play Chelsea or Spurs in that run of games. We will most certainly benefit from resting players for that one now hey?
  3. They have rearranged Mancs derby for 2 weeks and 3 weeks time. So they have moved BOTH legs. So us 2 I suspect!
  4. It is looking like thursday according to Premier coaches who have been told that by the police. SSN are saying tues or weds. So........... It'll be thursday.
  5. On a side note how on earth can Stoke v Fulham be going ahead when it is smack in the middle of here and Lancs and is snowing heavily?
  6. Is anyone else sick of Blackburn bloody Rovers yet? :x
  7. Thanks a lot for your optimism and insightful thoughts, I'll choose to await an official update thanks. I'm just telling it as it is. They are not meant to be insightful thoughts, if you read the post it says that people in the Blackburn area have said it is chaos. Sorry if you want optimism, this is a Villa site after all. :winkold: Here is your official line. Posted Today, 10:18 AM official site Having been in regular contact with the Police and the Met Office for the last few hours, we are now in dialog with the Football League concerning the prospects for this evening's Carling Cup semi-final 1st leg tie against Aston Villa. We will make an announcement as soon as possible regarding the game.

  9. This game is NOT going ahead. No chance I'm afraid. Been on so many forums reading peoples quotes who are in the area and its just chaos. **** it!
  10. From rovers site> My brother works in the BRIC next to Ewood, they've closed it and told everyone not to go in.
  11. The fact that it is snowing here in the midlands now is a good thing in terms of the weather up in Lancs as it means the snow is moving southwards. The game being called off will not have anything to do with the weather here in Brum. However, it will make it trickier for some to travel. Hmmm. :?
  12. True but the later they make the decision the more chance the game has of being on given the weather forecast.
  13. Doubt it, only way is if it stops snowing soon and clears up and they go out and grit the roads BEFORE they have chance to call it off. I f they make a final decision whilst it is still snowing then it will be called off 100%. It is meant to stop snowing at 11ish but I fear the axe will have fallen by then.
