  1. The post match review panel saying if you survive a few penalty calls they're going to be given at some point. That is such a bad way of describing the situation. If it's a penalty it should be given, if it's not then the decision shouldn't be to award it, it should be as simple as that. Otherwise people are going to continue to dive realising that they will be given if you dive enough, no wonder the refs are inconsistent with shocking expert analysis of decisions

  2. Do Spain, Portugal, Germany, Italy and Belgium have any quotas on foreign nationals playing in their national leagues? No. It obviously hasn't hindered their national teams, it's just a convenient excuse created by the FA who'd rather pay themselves extra than to divert money to changing the grass roots of the English game. Also what would be wrong with the English managers choosing players further down from the top few clubs, for one some of these players are overrated, and also it would give extra incentives to English players further down the leagues to work hard at their games in the knowledge that it's form that matters, nothing else.

  3. On my first small betting spree on Betfair over this weekends games, just £1 on two separate result batches. Villa, Saints and Manchester United wins, the other quid on Arsenal, Chelsea and a Swans draw. First lot pays £4.30, the second £14.00. Fingers crossed

  4. Never really been a fan of lager, had some nice ones admittedly in Hannover during the Oktoberfest a few years ago, but never really have had one which I've thought has tasted nice in the UK. Except one, which I'm not sure of the name. I used to often go round to a mates to relax in the evenings quad biking, pool playing and generally getting pretty drunk. Quad biking came earlier on in the evening! All I remember is that it was brewed in Liverpool, the cans were very big and not made out of wafer thin metal that could be easily crushed, and I think they were mostly black with pale writing. He loved them and they were rather nice, think they were delivered and not stocked in the shops of Lincolnshire, maybe closer to Liverpool though. Apart from that lager I'm a fan of bitters, Old Speckled Hen, Old Peculiar, and especially Batemans XXXB. Not many under 30's seem to drink bitters these days, I think it has a lovely taste, and there's huge variety out there too

  5. Just to put up some kind of realism, I've often been grabbed inappropriately by women in my teens. I didn't really think about it till now. Can I get a decent compensation for it? I'd get a decent living from that alone. Jesus, the world has gone compensation mad, yeah he had some 14yr old on his lap, he might of brushed some 13yr old on her leg, he could have held a 15yr old by the arm, but vilifying him like he has been is strange to say the least. Especially post humous. If you think this is the way the world should work then I'm going to claim compensation from a girl who felt my dick and another who grabbed my rear years ago. I'll claim I'm affected by it all-easy money :)

  6. I think the idea is not to have a nagging partner. I managed that for 8 years. A relationship doesn't have to be a ballache.

Everyone seems great to begin with, then it all fades away. You've done well for 8 years but isn't there a bit inside of you that wishes you could still get upto all the things you want to?

  7. Yeah the sane world doesn't exactly make you feel sane, or does it? I'm confused, what is reality, do we really know? But in all honesty who knows....Yeah drugs are bad when they destruct a persons life but often they don't, should we get tax from the inevitable trade, how can we tell who can and can't take them. Pretty tough questions really

  8. The degree I studied at university was economics, even with a basic understanding of globalisation (free trade) it's clear that countries like ours are going to become more on parity with the poorer countries. Why produce in countries that expect high wages? It's that simple, we was once a great country, just cherish that thought
