  1. After blueboy1989 (legend) bumped the topic where Partisan made four years ago about him desperately wanting O'Neill as manager I couldn't resist the urge to post something.

The first post is from Partisan about us apparently being shit and having overrated players:

    My reply was:

and I left 2 GIF's and 2 pictures at the end  :

  2. Dear General Krulak;

My question appears that it'd be more directed to the managerial side of things... but since I don't have MON's contact info I think it'd be best if you could be able to answer this for me. :winkold:

My question is regarding the FA and League Cup. We won't be winning the league any time soon and I think it's going to be too difficult to de-throne one of the Sky 4 because we don't have the financial capabilities and backing of the Sky 4 and Manchester City albeit I think MON is a much better manager than Mark Hughes. If we can't be winning the league and playing Champions League football, why do we never seem interested in the Carling Cup and FA Cup? The FA Cup is the biggest domestic cup in World Football without a shadow of a doubt and I'd much rather win that than opposed to finishing 4th in the league. In the last two years of the FA Cup and Carling Cup we've seen Portsmouth win the FA Cup, Everton reaching the final knocking out us, Liverpool and Man United on the way to the final and Tottenham reaching the final of the Carling Cup in two successive year's winning it once. Aston Villa used to have such a massive pedigree and dominance in the FA Cup many, many years ago and haven't won it since 1957 which is just not good enough. We haven't won anything since 1996 and I'd really like to see us start making a revival in both the FA Cup and Carling Cup under MON because this club is in desperate need of a cup or trophy and if MON can win the League Cup twice with Leicester I can think of a 101 reasons why he should be winning either trophy with us. Instead of MON talking about how the FA Cup means a lot to him and how it's someting he'd 'love' to win - why doesn't he just go out and win it?

  3. That was a cruel way to lose for St Louis in the bottom of the ninth. With all bases covered with the scores tied at 2-2 you knew LA would nick it right at the very end...

Watching Boston-Angels now... a very boring start.

  4. I think I've found a winner courtesy of PartisanBCFC:

TCPH....I just love your "village' references to the pink and baby blues.....cracks me up every time....to be honest though, mate , Aston, Witton and Perry Barr have been a part of Birmingham for a century or more now though

OK, My Top 10....what a great thread

1 - We were in a European Final decades before them ....and the best laugh is they could have formed a joint team with us but they declined

2 - We were the biggest club in Brum during the 60's and early 70's....and our gates for the most part reflected that.....Don't worry I do have the old 'statistics gun' loaded and ready to fire

3 - The first million pound footballer was a Blues player (Hail, Trevor ....the scourge of Villa who scored the winning goal against them in no less than 3 seperate BCFC v Aston Villa derbies.....Kenny Burns got a couple as well....in fact so did Geoff Horsfield, Clinton Morrison and Mikael Forssell

4 - Villa Park is only bigger because they got funding from the England World Cup committee in 1966 to expand (true story) and again from the FA in 1996 for the Euros.....St Andrews is generally louder as well

5 - True Brummies follow Birmingham City FC

6 - Villa's most famous fans are a fiddler on the roof ...and HRH Prince William ....but he only follows them because his great, great grandma was on the throne when they were actually a decent side winning something....Oh ! and we have never lost the FA Cup (stolen)...the fact we've never won one is irrelevant ...But our one League Cup was after winning the Final beating.........Err !! ..................Aston Villa FC

7 - Inside every Villa fan there is a BlueNose trying to escape

8 - Their winning goal in 1982 was flukey, scored from the crooked shin-pad of an ex Blues centre forward (Peter Withe) from a cross supplied by another old Blues player Tony Morley (well he joined us afterwards)....so you see, they would never have won the European Cup without 'The Blues Connection'

9 - Stern John's goal in 2004 was the greatest ever moment in any Blues-Villa derby ....even beats Dionne Dublin's sending off for his cruel assault on Robbie

10 - Finally we have a much better badge and crest than them....and not one cowardly 'Lion' to be seen ....""Put 'em up, I'll fight you with one hand tied behind my back ""

I like #10 especially after seeing that muppet on Sky Sports News getting the planet and ball the wrong way round when getting a tattoo.

  5. lol, it gets even better!

Tell me, where did they finish last season?

    Deluded !

    ---------------------------

Realistic, as much as we hate it they are miles ahead of us. If we had invested big time the first time we went up it might be the other way round.

  6. Haha, it's even more funny when reading the Small Heathens replies trying to dignify what the OP has said despite all the Villa fans are having their sides split.

Anyway, just joined up on that official forum and my username is Ohatfyawfa an abbreviation for One hundred and thirty four years and won **** all. No wonder they keep the forum so secret not allowing guests to view because of retarded posts they make and the bitter ones about us because they're just jealous.

  7. Into the 7th inning of the game between LA and St Louis with St Louis batting and I really can't see them making any sort of comeback because Kuo is pitching some beauties.

  8. Oh yeah, what a home run from Matsui there...

Yankees now leading 6-2 and seem to have a real stanglehold of this match enjoying lots of fun batting in this 5th inning.
