  1. He should have a better game tonight then.Although some of his touches IMO looked more lethargic than rusty- trapping the ball, heading and passing they are all basic skills. The Monday game had a lot of similarities with his performances in 2010 and he played in the warm up games then. Also RVP looked overplayed and shattered could just be a considence though that they both play in the PL.

I certianly hope you right and he looks sharper tonight!!!

  2. Any one know what the likely Italien Team Lineup will be - will they go with 3 centre backs again.

I hope Rooney turns up for this game. They say the best players perform during the biggest matches. I do have doubts over his fitness after a long fought PL season. He seemed faituiged during the last game he played, similar to the performancess in 2010

  3. Only my opinion but we are a long way behind other European countries. England and Portugal are pretty much the only two main countries which do not not have a break. Zee Germans, Spaninsh & Dutch all have breaks they have not done too badly

The Germans do not have a league cup, no cup replays and a five week break.

Players get a chance to rest tired bones, niggles and tears. You are more like to get an injury when Faitigued.

I dont think its a co incidence that England have 15 players injured for this tournament,it could be though.

It showed in 2006 - our fittest and best player was Hargreaves when he was playing for Bayern.

I dont think they do play 38 games like us - The BL is a nor as ferocious and intense as the PL

The christmas games are awsome a break in January could be more benneficail, this has been supported by Ferguson Cappelo Rooney and Walcott

There are arguments against it. Financialy i dont think it would bode well with the PL. Clubs could loose a lot of money over Christamas festive period if a break happens.

  4. Just looking at the stats.

I thought a lot of Zee Germans might be to fatigued to play in the Euros after Bayerns CL run. Turns out a lot of there key players have only played around 40 games.

Where as the like of Terry, Rooney, Cahill and Cole have all played around 50. Its a big ask for these players to then peak playing at the Euros when all they probably want is a holiday. The majority of these games are PL - high paced ferocious games played at a high speed compared to the slower pace of the German League.

Most countries have winter breaks and play less games. To give our selves the best probable chance of winning. we have to do this. However TV reveue money and the PL will not allow it, this equals bad news for all 90% of fans ( the genuine ones who dont Support City, United or Chelski)

  5. Injured, unfit or suspended

    Wilshire ( out)

    Ferdianand ( 50/50)

    Bent

    Walker

    Parker

    Rooney (2 games)

    Smalling

    Barry

    Parker

    Huddlestone

    Dawson

    Wellbeck

    Johnson

Now not all of these players would have neccsasry have been good enough to go. But still 13 players is stilla heck of a lot of players who are nursing injuries, suspended or are not fully fit!

Does any one know how this compares to others Countires zee Germans much have a few injured the Bayern Munich players have player about 50 games. What about Italy, France, Spain and Portuagal ECT?

  6. M. Richards will be dropped which makes no sense as Kyle Walker is injured and we all know Glenn Johnson just cant defend Ze Germans will be pleased.

JT will go - Ferdinand left at home

    Gerrard named Captain

He will take Caroll and Crouch wont make it guaranteed.

    Phil Jones to go.

  7. How many other Injuries do Spain have.

Def think that the physical strain and intensity of the PL is a factor. It will be interesting to see how many of the PL European players perform after a tough season:-

    - RVP

    - Evra

    - Nani

    - Clichy

    - Nasri

    - De jong

    - Malouda

Not many of the above players are injured yet

    - Luiz

    - Bosingwa

    - Mata

  8. So far potentially, the follwing players may be ruled out

    Wilshire ( out)

    Ferdianand ( 50/50)

    Bent

    Walker

    Parker

    Rooney (2 games)

    Smalling

Thats roughly 6 players injured who might not make it, do other countries get this many injuries.

I know Spain have Villa and Puyol injured at the moment how are other teams doing?

  9. Hart

    Cole

    Jones

    Lescott

    Walker/Richards

    Johnson

    Milner

    Gerrard

    Young

    Welbeck

    Rooney/ Carroll

What ever you conclude - our squad is poor.

    We already have lost:-

    - Wiltshire

    - Ferdinand (possibly)

    - Smalling

    - Ronney ( 2 games)

    - Plus a few others are likey to get injured in training - heskey took at Ferdinanad at the previous world cup.

    - How many more players Will Ferguson dictate cant go to the Euros - Jones, Rooney, Scholes, Carrick ect. He is already trying to do it with Rio.

As easily predicted a lot of our players will either be injured, suspended or faitugied. Will these players really be able to peak at the Euros after they have participated in in one of the most physical leagues in the world - I doubt it, it could happen though.

We are more likely not to qualify then to get to the semis or final.

  10. Why did we loan him out in the first place?

    Our squad was small

We did not have a specialist defensive midfielder

We sold a number of midfielders

Just dont get it - we paid 6.2 million for him 6 months later he leaves on loan.

Christ, if there is one thing he isn't, and that's a "specialist defensive midfielder", the bloke couldn't tackle at all. And the reason we let him leave is that he was rubbish. I don't think he'd be getting a game now even with all the injuries. Houllier even realised he was crap, and he was the idiot who bought him!

lol - I think he is more of a defensive/holding Midfielder than any other type of midfielder. According to this he is a defensive midfielder

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jean_Makoun.

Most importantly on PM3 it also says he is a defensive midfielder and if it say so on there he must be......!

I understand what your saying though he didn't seem amazing at tackling.

I look at a lot of the midfield now and I don't think there is much there at all its very much an inexperienced championship midfield. We are in a relegation battle. AM could have waited until the end of the season - or he should of sold him on and used the money to get some better in. Loaning him out was an inept standard move we have come to expect from management.

I remember it took Milner and Downing at least a year to settle in at Villa before we started to see their best football and they were English. It would be harder for Makoun.

I don't think he is amazing but his experience could be used in crucial time like this. Either way the club has made another mistake.

ON the positive side chelski have just gone 4-0 up/
